DESCRIPTION:IDPA Trinidad invites all Competitive Shooters\, FUL\, FUEC\, and Provisional Holders to our: "Stand your Ground!" 2026 Match.\nThe 2026 “Stand Your Ground” law in Trinidad and Tobago\, formally called the Home Invasion (Self-Defence and Defence of Property)\, was passed by Parliament in late 2025 and proclaimed into force in January 2026. The legislation was introduced in response to concerns about violent crimes and home invasions. It creates a specific offence and expands the legal protections available to people defending themselves\, their families\, or their property. Key features of the bill include: No Duty to Retreat\, Self-Defence Rights\, Defence of Property\, and Use of Deadly Force.\nWe at IDPA Trinidad believe in preparing persons for such instances and have designed six (6) exciting and high-intensity real-life scenarios to test every shooter's ability in standing their ground.\nMatch Information:\nStages: 6\nRound Count: 75\nIDPA Rules Apply\nRegistration Fees:\n6 stages:\n$250 TTD - Handgun or PCC Only (Meal Included)\n$350 TTD - Handgun + PCC (Meal Included)\n$25 TTD - Additional Meal\n3 stages with a Round Count of 40 (For first-time competitors/national security agencies):\n$150 TTD - Meal Included\nWater and drinks provided on the day\nPrize Structure:\nOverall PCC Winner\nOverall Pistol Winner\nOpen Division - 1st to 3rd Place Only (Note: Persons registered in this division would not be considered for the overall placements/prizes)\nPistol Caliber Carbine (PCC) - 1st to 3rd Place Only\n1st to 3rd Places in the Novice\, Marksman Sharpshooter\, Expert\, Master and Distinguished Master classifications for the following divisions:\n- Stock Service Pistol (SSP)\n- Compact Carry Pistol (CCP)\n- Enhanced Service Pistol (ESP)\n- Carry Optics (CO)\nFirst Time Competitors/National Security Agency - 1st to 3rd Place Only\n*Prizes are based on registration upon cutoff date\nCategories (1st Place Only)\nDistinguished Senior\nSenior\nLady\nMilitary (Serving members only)\nLaw Enforcement (Serving members only)\nCivilian\nNovice/Rookie\n*Persons registering for both Pistol and PCC are asked to squad once and will have to shoot Pistol before PCC on every stage of the match.\nWe look forward to seeing you at the range and being part of this self-defence match!
