This firearm by S&W is now my favorite carry weapon. I have several carry pistols/revolvers, and they all have their niche depending on the time of the year and the clothing I wear. They will be gathering dust or sold. This 45acp is accurate (the first 3 mags hit in an area no bigger than 3 inches from 7 yards off hand with a weapon I have never fired). The recoil is less than my 40 S&W and my wife enjoyed shooting the 45 as well. The only complaint is that the slide release is EXTREMELY difficult to cycle. There are youtube videos to take care of this problem and they work. The S&W M&P Shield 45acp does not disappoint.
