DESCRIPTION:The Central Carolina 2 Gun Match is a fun match with rifle and pistol\, generally around 125-130 rounds of ammunition minimum with a leaning generally for more rifle rounds than pistol.\nHours are now SUMMER.\nCheck in/Registration and payment at 8 am\nMandatory Safety Briefing at 8:45 am\nShooting Starts at 9 am.\nWe have very basic equipment requirements and are a great match for new shooters to start at.  The match consists of 4 stages with descriptions to follow for each stage\, scoring is time plus and most stages allow you to make up shots to get the best possible score.\nWe are very accepting of various types of equipment\, perfect for testing out that new trunk gun or home defense gun that might not fit into matches elsewhere.\nIF YOU WANT TO SHOOT WITH SOMEONE ELSE SPECIFICALLY:\nMake sure to contact them and organize who will register FIRST and get a GROUP CODE for everyone else to use.  Because we try to have 4 squads at each match with 45+ shooters\, this often requires us to move shooters around the night before the match.  If we don’t know you want to shoot with anyone in particular you CAN and possibly may get moved to help us keep squad sizes even. SUMMARY:WSC Action Pistol and PCC Match - April 11 2026
DESCRIPTION:This is the second Action Shooting match hosted by the Walden Sportsmen’s Club for the 2026 season. The course of fire will include 3 challenging stages. Minimum round count is TBD. There will be both centerfire pistol divisions\, as well as pistol caliber carbine (PCC). (PCCs must be semiautomatic and magazine fed). Any safe centerfire (9mm caliber or larger) handgun is required. All handguns are required to draw from a safe kydex (no leather) outside the waistband holster (no cross draw holsters). All handguns and PCCs should have a minimum of 4 magazines\, but 5 is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. All PCC shooters are required to have a chamber flag and gun bag. Minimum age for pistol shooters is 14 and 12 for PCC shooters. The match fee will be $5 / member and family\, guests are $10 and will be collected at the range when you check in. The match will be limited to 30 shooters. This event is NOT open to the public.

DESCRIPTION:Hours of Operation – 8:30AM to 12:30PM and 1:00 PM– 5:00PM (PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE MORE THAN 15 MINUTES PRIOR)– We will run two squads\, squad 1 will be the morning squad from 8:30AM-12:30PM\, and squad 2 will be the afternoon squad from 1:00PM to 5:00PM.  This will allow for us continue to practice “social distancing” while also allowing our RO(s) to manage the firing line and help in spotting.  We will run 12 shooters in the morning\, and 12 in the afternoon.  PLEASE READ – IF YOU WANT TO SHOOT IN THE AM – SQUAD YOURSELF IN SQUAD 1.  IF YOU WANT TO SHOOT IN THE AFTERNOON\, SQUAD YOURSELF IN SQUAD 2.\nShooting Stages – Shooters will have the ability to engage targets from 300 to 1\,135 yards from stages on the firing line while in the prone position.  In addition\, shooters will also be allowed to practice the PRS Barricade Stage off our Barricade system at 400 yards\, as well as some of the other Range Stages/Props.  100 yard zero range will be available as needed.  We will have backer boards up\, bring your own stick on or staple targets if desired.\nNew Shooters: Shooters new to the range will be required to prove themselves and their gear capable and accurate at targets ranging from 300-600 yards BEFORE being allowed to engage targets at distances beyond.\nPayment – Cost for either session – $65.  A $15 non-refundable deposit at time of registration required.  Balance due upon arrival to range – cash only.  If a shooter is unable to make the date\, shooter has the ability to sell their slot to another shooter – PRP\, Inc. needs to be notified 24 hours in advance of range day of any changes to roster.\nRecommended Gear – rangefinder\, chamber flag (if you do not have a chamber flag PRP has them available for $3/ea. onsite) spotting scope\, shooting mat\, folding chair\, bug spray/sunscreen\, inclement weather gear\, etc.  Hearing protection is required\, eye protection is recommended.

DESCRIPTION:NEW PISTOL RULES:\n    -Any properly functioning carry pistol can be used as long as it can be completely concealed.\n   – If the RO deems a pistol unsafe the shooter will be DQd. Example: triggers that are so light it bump fires.  \nNEW EQUIPMENT RULES:\n   -Holsters must be tight to the body. The holster can be IWB or OWB. But remember the holster must be completely covered.\n   – No shoulder holster\, pocket holster\, drop leg holster\, or race gun holsters allowed. The holster needs to be made of a rigid material and not a collapsible material.\n   -Double belts are not allowed.\n   -Fishing vests are not allowed.\nIn short\, we want you using what you would normally wear when going out on the town.\n   -Only 2 magazines total are allowed on the shooter.\n   -Each magazine will be loaded with 6 rounds max.\nGENERAL RULES:\n   -If a stage starts with an “unloaded gun”\nThe slide must be forward or revolver cylinder closed.\n   -If a shooter is required to shoot from a specific area he/she must shoot from that position. Disregarding this will result in a 3 second procedural penalty and a failure to do right penalty of 10 seconds.\n   -If there are fault lines\, the shooter must “slice the pie.”\n   -A loaded magazine left on the ground is legal.\n   -Police or active duty personnel are exempt from the concealment rules while using a duty rig.\n   -On stage #1 at every CCM event\nIf the start position is outside of the door\, the gun cannot be removed from the holster until the shooter is inside the door. Failure to do so is a DQ. Safety is of highest priority at all times.
