DESCRIPTION:SIG SAUER Academy will be hosting monthly new competitor matches from 6-9pm.\nThis event is planned for 2-3 Stages.\n***If you’re approved from the waitlist\, please pay the match fee within 24 hours. Unpaid competitors will be removed after 24 hours and the next competitor from the waitlist will be approved.***\nThe intent of this event is to provide first time competitors with a stress free\, friendly environment. Where they can learn about competitive shooting through practical application. Shooters will be “coached\,” by the competition staff on rules\, walk throughs and general stage execution.\nCompetitors must bring a suitable firearm\, belt mounted holster they feel comfortable drawing from\, enough magazines to carry 30 rounds\, and 100 rounds of ammunition. It's recommended that competitors bring magazine pouches but you're also welcome to put spare magazines in your pockets if you don't have magazine pouches. No pocket\, ankle\, or small of the back\, fanny pack\, or off-body holsters. IF you registered for the new competitor 2-gun match\, please also bring a serviceable semi-automatic rifle with a minimum of two magazines. Please ensure said rifle is brought into the facility in a case or bag and remains in the bag until we enter the range. Chamber flags are encouraged but not required.\nAll Competitors are expected to demonstrate safe weapons handling at all time. To include drawing from the holster\, safely loading/ unloading firearms\, shooting while moving etc. Failure to do so will result in removal from the match at the discretion of the staff.\nCompetitor check in will begin at 5:30pm at the SEC range counter\, safety brief location will be announced there and will start at 6:00pm.\nAll competitors and visitors entering the SEC ranges must complete an electronic waiver annually. Waivers can be completed at the SEC range desk.\nAll firearms shall be unloaded and cased upon entering the facility. Once checked-in and inside the shooting bays\, the Range Officers will walk you through the process of gearing up with your firearm. This event will be a "COLD RANGE". Do NOT gear up in any location other than on the range under the supervision of the competition staff.\n***All competitors 18 years of age or under must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Competitors under 14 years of age are not permitted under any circumstance.***\nRefund Policy:\nFull refunds\, minus Stripe fees\, if a competitor requests to withdraw more than seven calendar days before the start date of the match. No refunds will be issued if a competitor requests to withdraw less than seven calendar days before the start date of the match.

While we have no direct knowledge of the potential technical defect of the weapon system\,the reports\, the volume of ranges\, organizations and military units declaring a problem has made it too visible to deny. DESCRIPTION:The Intown Atlanta IDPA match is a Level I match usually with four (4) stages and a cutoff of 32 shooters. Please arrive early at the range\, pay your match fee at the range check-in desk and help set up\, which starts about 5 p.m. all help is welcome. Please have your kit on and be ready for a shooter meeting at 5:50 p.m. so we can start promptly at 6 p.m.\nLocation: Freedom Outdoors Shooting Center\, 485 Bishop St. NW\, Atlanta\, GA 30318\nSetup starts: 5 p.m.\nNew shooter safety brief: 5:30 p.m. (prompt)\nPre-match meeting: 5:50 p.m.\nFirst shots: 6 p.m.\nNew shooters are welcome! New shooters\, or anyone who would like a safety refresher\, MUST be present by 5:30 p.m. for safety brief. If you're not present at the start of the safety brief you will not shoot.\nIDPA ranges are COLD ranges. All weapons will be UNLOADED\, in a holster or case\, will be slide forward or cylinder closed with the hammer or striker down. All PCCs will be bagged or cased AND have an empty chamber flag inserted. Coming to the line\, PCCs will be either muzzle up or down with a chamber flag inserted WITHOUT EXCEPTION.\nEveryone must help strike props and pickup spent brass after the match and everyone gets out earlier.\nAfter you register\, choose the squad you'd like\, “squad me” and then hit save at the bottom of the page. Your squad may change based on squad balance.\nWe MUST have at least two certified SOs on each squad. If y'all squad together we'll split you apart.\nAfter you register\, choose your squad\, hit “squad me” and then hit save at the bottom of the page.\nClosed toed shoes are MANDATORY.\nAbsolutely NO handling of weapons unless you’re at a designated SAFE TABLE or under direct control of a safety officer during a course of fire. NO handling of ammunition\, live or inert\, at a safe table.\nIf you're coming to the match and you are lawfully carrying a firearm\, GO TO AN EMPTY STALL IN BAY 1 TO DOWNLOAD THE GUN. DO NOT download the gun at the safe table.\nIDPA no longer allows the use of Sig Sauer P320 pistols or any its variants\, including the M17 and M18. You will NOT be allowed to compete with one of these weapons.\nBy signing up for and participating in these matches you agree to hold harmless match safety officials and Freedom Outdoors Shooting Center for any accidents that occur.
