DESCRIPTION:Welcome to Central Carolina Gun Club\,Inc. LONG GONG. Long Gong is a 300 Yard Challenge for the .22LR rifle. The Targets are AR400 steel Gongs with a diameter of 8”\, 6”\, 4”. Scoring is 1 point for impacts on the 8”\, 2 points for the 6”\, and finally\, 3 points for the 4”. This match is shot off of a bench with a ten round limit for 5 sets. That’s 50 rounds per match. Bags & bipods only. There is a three MINUTE time limit per stage. Order of fire is 8” first and an IMPACT is required to move on to the next target\, than 6”\, last the 4”. If you miss a target you have to fall back to the last target impacted and continue from there. On the other hand if you hit a target you can choose to remain hitting said target you will be accumulating that targets point value.  Score will be totaled after each round with hight score being 27.  This is a Fun & Challenging game of precision for all ages and levels marksmanship. So come out and enjoy a little friendly competition while making some new life long friends. DESCRIPTION:Sharpshooters Indoor Range IDPA Match (Cold Range\, please make sure all firearms are empty before arriving in the store).\nOur matches are held twice a month\, (2nd and 4th Mondays). It usually consists of 3 stages depending on crowd size. Check-in is 5:30-6:15. Shooters meeting at 6:15\, Bullets downrange by 6:30 or after the match brief.\nCost: $15.75\nPCCs will be allowed this match but must have a chamber flag and be in a case.\nSign up on Practiscore.com by searching for "Sharpshooters" for the latest match opening. There will be 2 squads to sign up on\, but you may be moved to balance them out before the match starts.\nAs a new shooter\, you don't have to be an IDPA member to shoot a match\, but after 3 matches\, you will need to join IDPA to continue to participate. Click here to join: https://www.idpa.com/membership/.\nThe minimum equipment is eye and ear protection\, an IDPA-compliant firearm\, a secure holster\, mag pouch(s)\, and an outer garment that will cover them with your arms outstretched. This match is especially good for permanently disabled persons\, as it is on a smooth-level concrete floor\, and other accommodations are made for you. DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the Thurmont Wednesday Steel Challenge Match.\nMATCH DESCRIPTION:\nThis match will consist of 8 Official Steel Challenge stages.\nRound count will be approximately 195+. Bring extra ammo\, as it there is none available for purchase at the facility.\nRULES:\nThis is a Tier 1 local Steel Challenge match and we will abide by the rules of Steel Challenge Shooting Association.\nAll SCSA divisions as well as LO\, RRI\, and RRO are included.  So let's see those Wheel Guns.\nThough you may register in multiple divisions\, you may only register once in any individual division.\nSCORING:\nWe will use the normal Steel Challenge Scoring.\nSAFETY AREAS:\nThurmont is a COLD range. Firearms must be unloaded at all times except during the match under the direct supervision of a Range Safety Officer (RO). HANDLING OF FIREARMS AT VEHICLES IS PROHIBITED. Long guns must have an EMPTY CHAMBER INDICATOR (Chamber Flag) IN PLACE at all times starting from the moment the rifle is uncased for placement in a gun cart or brought to the shooting position. Pistols may be unbagged and holstered ONLY at designated Safety Areas or unbagged under the direction of a RO/SO at the shooting position.\nSafety Areas are clearly marked with signs.  If the table doesn't have a sign marked "Safety Area" then it isn't one and Gun Handling is not allowed there but ammunition handling is.\nNO AMMUNITION HANDLING in safety areas. Note that cinder block and plywood walls ARE NOT safety areas. Use of suppressors is not prohibited but the match director can not assure accurate times.\nAll pistol calibers permitted. I.e.\, 9mm\, 38super\, .40S&W\, 45ACP\, .38 Special\, 44 Special\, 45LC\, .and 22lr rimfire. As per SCSA rules the maximum velocity for any Handgun or Pistol Caliber Carbine shooting steel is 1600fps. The use of ANY Steel core\, or steel (bimetal) jacketed ammunition (even with permitted calibers) is PROHIBITED on our steel will be an immediate disqualification and the shooter will be financially responsible for damage to the steel plates.\nMatch fees:\nNon-TCSC members:\n$20 for Adult 1st gun\n$15 for Junior (13 through 17) 1st gun\n$10 for Preteen (12 and under) 1st gun\n$10 for 2nd gun.\nTCSC members:\n$5 Club Member discount on above fees for 1st gun\n$10 for 2nd gun.\nOnline via Credit Card\nIf you can not pay via Credit Card online and need to pay Cash on the day of the match\, contact us at tcsc.steel@gmail.com and\, on rare exception we will send you a link.
