SUMMARY:NRL22 Canada - Forest Grove & District Rod and Gun Club in BC - December 19 2026
DESCRIPTION:The NRL22 is a fun and cost effective way to get into precision rifle shooting! The group at Forest Grove are easy-going and more than happy to welcome both new- and guest-shooters.\nThis is a .22lr event shooting off of various barricades and props\, at target sizes ranging from .25" to 6" at varying distances.\nNo rifle\, no ammo? No problem! We understand that this is an expensive shooting sport to begin with\, and acquiring gear up front can be intimidating and costly. We are able to provide a loaner rifle\, supplementary ammunition and any other necessary gear for first-time shooters. We are happy to offer this for the first few matches for new shooters\, though please do not abuse our charity! If you will require a loaner rifle\, please contact one of the match director’s in advance.\n-8:30am: match setup (feel free to show up early and pitch in!)\n-9:00am: Match briefing and zero\n-10:00am: monthly NRL22 match begins\n-matches will proceed rain or shine\, unless otherwise notified\n-Round count: 75 minimum\n-Safety equipment: hearing protection and chamber flag\nMatch directors:\n- Jason Kossen\n- Paul Paoli\nWe can both be reached @ fgrrodandgun@gmail.com

Players must use our supplied gun with no added enhancements.\nThe gun may be shot one handed or two-handed at the shooters discretion. No shooting rests\, no scopes\, no painting of the sights.\nAll hands will have a fourty-five (45) second par time.\nAll shooters will flip a coin to determine the orientation of the target\, i.e. red wild card up or black wild card up.\nWILDCARDS WILL NOT BE USED FOR SCORING\n3. Players will fire 7 shots at the target placed seven (7) yards from the shooting position which will be marked by a rubber baseball plate. Shooter must have both feet touching the shooting plate(s) and all hands will begin from the low-ready position. (pointed at an orange traffic cone)\nAll hands will have a fourty-five (45) second par time.\n4. Players will make their best 5 card poker hand from the cards hit.\nWILDCARDS WILL NOT BE USED FOR SCORING\n5. Target-style scoring will be used. In other words\, if the shot hits the edge of a card clearly breaking the line\, it will count as a hit on the card.\n6. A card can only be counted once per hand (target).\n7. Any shots that hit the colored center cards\, or break the line of the colored center cards will count as wild cards. Wild card and joker cards will carry no scoring weight. A hit on a wild card or joker card is not counted towards any hand.\n8. If a shot breaks the line of more than one card\, the card containing the largest portion of the hit shall be counted.\n9. If a card has 2 or more hits and one of the hits breaks the line of another card\, then that hit may be counted on the other card.\n10. If less than 7 cards are hit\, the hand must be made from the cards hit. No additional shots may be taken.\n11. If more than 7 hits are found on a target\, it will be disqualified and no refund will be given.\n12. Shooting at a used target will be cause for disqualification.\n13. The shooters/players must print their name on the target and identify the 5 cards that make up their hand. The card hand must be written out under the shooters name.\n14. Hands will be scored in accordance with the rankings shown below.\n15. In the case of a tie\, the tiebreaker hands will be shot free of charge to the player(s) using the same rules as above. Tiebreaker hands will be shot at progressively longer distances until a winner is determined\,\n16. Gun malfunctions\, dud-rounds or other circumstances that cause less than seven (7) rounds to be fired at the target will be given the opportunity to be made up. Round for round will be made up. i.e. no complete reshoots unless the target is spoiled by more than seven rounds.\nTARGET DISTANCES\nInitial Poker Match: 7-yards (21 feet)\n1st Tiebreaker Round: 14-yards (42 feet)\n2nd Tiebreaker Round: 21-yards (63 feet)\n3rd Tiebreaker Round: 28-yards (84 feet)\n4th Tiebreaker Round: 50-yards (150 feet)\nRanking of Poker Hands\nStraight Flush. Five cards in sequence in the same suit are called a straight flush. A hand composed of A-K-Q-J-10 (royal flush) beats a hand composed of K-Q-J-10-9. The royal flush is the highest standard hand and beats all other hands.\nFour of a Kind. Any four cards of the same rank form four of a kind. If two players have four of a kind\, the hand with the four higher cards wins. Four of a kind beats a full house or any lower hand.\nFull House. Three of a kind and one pair form a full house. The full house with the highest ranking three of a kind beats another full house with a lower-ranking three of a kind. Full house beats a flush or any lower hand.\nFlush. A hand of any five cards all of the same suit is called a flush. A flush with the highest ranking card beats another flush hand. If the highest cards from each players hand tie\, the next highest-ranking cards determine the winner\, and so on. A flush beats a straight or any lower hand.\nStraight. A hand of any five cards in sequence\, but not of the same suit is a straight. The straight with the highest-ranking cards at the head of the sequence is the winner against another straight hand. The highest possible straight is A-K-Q-J-10. A straight beats three of a kind or any\nlower hand.\nThree of a Kind. Three cards of the same rank\, such as three 8s\, form three of a kind. The highest-ranking three cards wins against another three of a kind hand. Three of a kind beats two pair or any lower hand.\nTwo Pair. Two cards of the same rank and two cards of any other rank form two pair. The hand with the highest-ranking pair wins against another hand of two pair. If the highest-ranking pair ties\, the hand with the second highest ranking pair wins. If the all pairs in both hands tie\, the hand with the highest ranking fifth card wins. Two pair beats any hand with one pair\, or no pair.\nOne Pair. Any two cards of the same rank form one pair. The hand with the highest-ranking pair wins against another hand of one pair. If both hands have the same pair\, the highest-ranking unmatched card in the hand determines the winner. If the highest- ranking unmatched cards tie\, the next highest-ranking unmatched cards are compared\, and so on.\nOne pair beats any hand with no pair (high card).\nHigh Card. A hand with no matched cards is called high card. With two competing high card hands\, the hand with the highest-ranking card wins. If the highest-ranking unmatched cards tie\, the next highest-ranking unmatched cards are compared\, and so on.\nRules for Aces. In a straight\, the ace can rank either high or low\, depending on the card sequence. The ace is high in the sequence A-K-Q-J-10. Aces rank low in the sequence 5-4-3-2-A. You cannot use the ace to wrap a lower sequence with a higher sequence\, such as 3-2-A-K-Q.\nWILDCARDS WILL NOT BE USED FOR SCORING

SUMMARY:Shoot GTR North Florida 2-Gun December 20 SUPER STAGE Match
DESCRIPTION:North Florida 2-Gun matches use Time-Plus scoring and generally follow USPSA Multigun Rules for safety. Typical matches consist of 5 stages\, 75 pistol\, 100 Rifle. Summer Mini-Matches are shorter. Occasional Super-Stage Matches consist of 3 high-round-count stages.\nPLEASE NOTE!! Divisions segregate by pistol (irons or optics) and number of guns used. "2-Gun" Division is for one pistol\, one rifle. "Multi-Gun" Division allows more than one pistol and/or rifle. Shooters may use a PCC or a 22LR AR\, or .22LR pistol in the short-range stages\, in addition to AR-15 and 9 mm pistol\, for instance\, in the Multi-Gun divisions.\nQuestions should be directed to nfl2gun@gmail.com.\n==========================\n"Super Stage" Matches\nOur occasional Super-Stage Matches consist of three (3) high-round -count stages. Limit of 1 rifle\, and 1 pistol. Divisions segregate by pistol (irons or optics).\n===========================\nMatch Safety Rules - Please read these rules thoroughly. Any questions should be directed to nfl2gun@gmail.com.\n1. Treat all guns as if they are loaded even when they are not. The North Florida 2-gun match operates on a cold range. All firearms will be unloaded at all times and safely holstered\, bagged\, placed on a safe table\, or placed in a cart with muzzle down and chamber flag inserted until it is your turn to shoot and your RO has given the appropriate commands for you to load your firearm(s). Gun handling must be conducted at safe tables as per USPSA rules\, or at the discretion of an RO or Match Director. No ammunition on red safe tables\, nor in your hands while at a safe table.\n2. Never point your firearm at anything you are not willing to harm or destroy\, regardless if the firearm has a chamber flag. All rifles must have a chamber flag inserted at all times unless it is being used during a course of fire. All rifles must be stored in a cart with muzzle point downwards\, placed on a safe table with muzzle pointed in a safe direction\, bagged\, or held in hand with muzzle pointing either straight down or straight up. Be mindful of your muzzle to not accidentally sweep or flag any part of anyone's body.\n3. Never put your finger on the trigger until you are ready to fire. If moving more than 2-3 steps\, take your finger off of the trigger. We highly suggest engaging the safety on your rifle when transitioning between positions\, as this may help to prevent a negligent discharge if the trigger is inadvertently pressed.\n4. Be sure of your target and backstop. Firing at a target with a questionable backstop is cause for concern. Ask your RO to be sure. Negligent discharges due to improper handling of firearm\, including accidental discharging over a berm is not allowed.\n5. Red safe tables may be used by shooters to check unloaded firearms for function. Ammunition\, whether loose\, or contained in a magazine or box may not be placed on red safe tables. You may load your magazines anywhere you would like except at red safe tables.\n6. Shooters must always keep their gun muzzle pointed within a 180-degree plane facing downrange.\n7. You may not sling a loaded rifle. If you would like to sling your rifle within your course of fire\, you must unload your rifle first\, have your RO call "clear"\, then sling it.\n8. A firearm must be safely placed\, with safety engaged or decocked\, in dump barrel or bucket before drawing or firing another firearm. You may not discharge a firearm while holding a second firearm.\n9. If reholstering a loaded hammer-fired pistol with manual safety\, the safety must be engaged. If reholstering a loaded hammer-fired pistol with decocker\, the pistol must be decocked. You may not go prone with a loaded and holstered pistol.\n10. Unless specifically allowed as per stage instructions\, firearms are not allowed to be grounded nor dropped.\n11. If either your eye or ear protection falls off or is in the process of falling off\, you may ask the RO to stop your stage\, and restart it. Safety is our number one priority\, and we value our vision and hearing. You will be allowed to reshoot your stage.\n12. Your ROs may coach you during the course of your run for any reason. This may include friendly reminders to not forget a target\, and/or safety reminders on firearm handling. You may ask your RO questions at any given time\, even during your course of fire. Safety is of the utmost importance\, and we are here to help everyone succeed.\n13. Your ROs may stop your stage run at any given time for any reason. This may include\, but is not limited to: gun safety issues\, shooter safety violations\, stage not having been reset properly\, stage errors and/or props not functioning correctly\, safety issues regarding your firearm\, hearing or eye protection falling off or incorrectly placed\, and any equipment malfunctions. Reshoots will be at the discretion of the ROs.\n14. Your squad RO and Match Director have the final say on all safety and operational matters. Any infractions to the above safety and procedural rules may be subject to a penalty or match disqualification. Any further questions should be directed to nfl2gun@gmail.com.
