Stages focus on plausible\, real-world tactical scenarios. Shooters need to sign the waiver\, pay the match fee\, and prepare for the match. Come an hour earlier to help with setup.... You must be present for the safety briefing to participate.\nThe match will be at Prevail Training Center\, and the fee will be $15 for FAS members\, $25 for non-members. Membership is $50 per year. Kids shoot free. This is payable at the range\, cash or check. We do NOT use PractiScore membership.\nDirections to Prevail Training Center: http://flagstaffactionshooters.org/location\nEye and ear protection are required\, even for spectators\, and you must be present at the safety briefing at the start of the match to participate. All shooters and observers must sign a waiver.\nWe operate under cold range rules. Do not exit your vehicle with a loaded weapon. The only time we handle firearms is at a "safe table" (without ammo)\, or at the at the firing line under the direction of a safety officer. Firearms remain unloaded until the safety officer directs the participant to "make ready."\nDue to the unique nature of the Steel Challenge\, drawing from concealment or from inside the waist band is not allowed. DESCRIPTION:This is a 4 stage Steel Challenge match for members and non-members. This beginner-friendly speed steel shoot can be shot with .22LR pistols\, .22LR rifles\, PCCs (pistol-caliber carbines) and non-magnum\, straight wall cartridge centerfire pistols (e.g. 9mm\, .38SPL\, 10mm\, .40S&W\, .45ACP). This match requires 100 hits - we recommend shooters bring 150-200 rounds of ammunition and at least 3 double-stack or 5 single-stack magazines. Please arrive with magazines loaded and guns unloaded.\nWe shoot a split schedule. You can shoot the morning or the afternoon - or both! Morning setup will be around 8:30 with first shots immediately after setup. The afternoon start will be at 12:30. Maximum two divisions per shooter please. Pay here on Practiscore.\nWe run a cold range for the match. If you arrive carrying a loaded firearm\, please unload and clear BEFORE entering the competition bay. Use the designated safety table on the range to unbag and holster your already-unloaded firearm. Long guns must be cased\, or flagged and carried with muzzle pointing up. All other firearm handling on the range must be at the safety table\, except when shooting the stage.\nPlease note: we do not automatically paint targets between shooters. If you want steel painted before you shoot\, paint is available. Please notify the RO at the beginning of the match and coordinate painting with your squad mates ahead of time to help keep the match running efficiently. Shooters will engage targets on a blacked out firing line\, red/green lights are allowed\, no discharge of white light is permitted\, everyone is required to shoot suppressed. "BUT MD suppressors haven't been taken off the NFA YET\, BUH!" Not to worry keyboard warrior our match sponsor will supply loaner suppressors to anyone who happens to be poor or extremely opinionated about legislative blunders\, while not doing their part to change them.  This is a match that will change your perspective on precision rifle shooting\, for better or worse. MATCH WILL BE 8 STAGES AND 100 RNDS MAX.
