SUMMARY:Modern Carry Federation Armory Match
DESCRIPTION:Modern Carry Federation is a new concealed match in its own league.\nHere is the website where you can find the rules:\nmoderncarryfederation.com\nBasics in case you don't want to read the website:\nThe match will follow all USPSA safety rules\, and use hit factor scoring.\n-------------------- Rules --------------------\nAll competitors must be shooting from holstered concealment. This means that gear such as holsters\, firearms\, and spare magazines must be hidden from view and carried in a realistic\, practical manner. Holsters that severely break the 180 (such as shoulder holsters or holsters with extreme cant) are not allowed.\nThe spirit of this match is real-world concealment\, so we are generally requiring IWB holsters. This is to prevent people from running things they don't actually wear\, like IDPA-style "gamer vests" with OWB. If you genuinely carry OWB\, or you off-body/pocket carry\, it will be allowed if the MD determines it does not violate the spirit of the match and is being done safely. I have never once turned away anyone running their real world rig. Please validate with the MD ahead of time if you have any concerns.\nIt is entirely at the discretion of the MD to determine if you meet the intent of the match! If the MD sees shenanigans\, you can be moved to shooting for no score (with no recourse)\, or disallowed from further match participation.\nWe highly encourage people to run their actual carry setups to see how they perform.\n-------------------- Divisions --------------------\nMinimum caliber is .380 ACP. While we would like to accommodate those brave souls that carry .25 ACP pop guns\, it just isn't practical from a match management perspective. Perhaps in the future we can figure something out\, but for now it is .380 or higher.\nThe divisions are all capacity-based with no other accessory restrictions. So feel free to run your carry gun with a comp\, port\, thumb rest\, magwell\, optics\, irons\, etc. Holster-capable PDWs like the P365 Raider are allowed\, provided you are IWB with it in a manner you would actually carry.\n- Small Cap - 8 max rounds in the magazine (or cylinder). Represents your smaller carry guns or revolvers. In order to help low cap be competitive and not need a huge amount of spare mags to reload\, small cap division hits are scored as a 2x the hit\, e.g.\, one alpha becomes two alphas. So you typically only need one hit per target.\n- Factory Cap - 18 max rounds in the magazine. Represents your traditional factory capacity magazines.\n- Modern Cap - 25 max rounds in the magazine. Represents the growing capacity of modern carry setups.\nAll questions or comments can be directed to the Match Director Rory Norman.

SUMMARY:Red Oktober: Cold War (ROCW) 2026 Presented by IWI US
DESCRIPTION:The 7th annual Red Oktober Cold War action rifle match will be hosted by RioMultigun during the first weekend of October.\nThis year\, you can look forward to the same successful format as in previous years\, with stages designed specifically for the weapons of the Cold Warrior. There will be 8 challenging run-n-gun rifle-only stages with targets ranging from 1 meter to 300 meters. Ammo count is expected to be around 250 rounds (please note that bimetal ammo is prohibited at this match).\nThe match will be run under IMA Competition rules (Time-Plus with Points) with ROCW equipment divisions as follows:\n• ComBloc Irons: Any autoloading rifle derived from a Cold War-era Warsaw Pact/Eastern Bloc weapon. Iron sights only. Magazines limited to 30 rounds.\n• Free World Irons: Any autoloading rifle derived from a Cold War-era NATO/Western Bloc weapon. Iron sights only. Magazines limited to 30 rounds.\n• Battle Rifle Irons: Any autoloading rifle derived from a Cold War-era battle rifle. Battle rifle calibers only. Iron sights only. Magazines limited to 20 rounds.\n• ComBloc Open: Any autoloading rifle derived from a Warsaw Pact/Eastern Bloc weapon. Optics allowed. No other restrictions.\n• EuroTrash: Any autoloading bullpup rifle. Optics allowed. No other restrictions.\nComBloc Irons and Open competitors shooting 7.62x39 and similar calibers may select the "ComBloc Heavy" category. The 250-power factor requirement will be enforced with a chronograph.\nFollowing competitor feedback\, this year we will be offering the option to shoot the match over two half-days (Saturday & Sunday) instead of having to complete the whole match in one day\, which some of you tell us can be hard going. There will also be limited slots available for competitors wanting to shoot with staff on Friday. Please indicate which squadding options are acceptable to you on the registration form below - we will adjust the squadding schedule to accommodate everyone's preferences as best we can before the withdrawal deadline.\nIf you have a "squad me with..." request\, please email Steph prior to registration opening on Monday\, March 23rd at 8am so she can make sure you get squadded with your family and friends.\nPrize bags will be distributed by random draw as squads cycle through the demo stage. Trophies for each division and category\, including the coveted "High Cold Warrior"\, will be awarded on Sunday afternoon along with additional door prizes (non-staff competitors only\, must be present to win).\nSTAFF: If you are a potential RO/staff member for the match\, please fill out the Staff Interest Form at https://forms.gle/e2XFWKSwWPP1aggz8\nThe match fee is $275\, payable at the time of registration. A full refund (minus third-party processing fee) will be issued for withdrawal requests received via Practiscore prior to 11pm MST on August 15th. After this deadline\, no refunds will be issued.\nQUESTIONS?\nRegistration/Stats/Staffing: Steph - stephanie@riomultigun.com\nSponsors: Neil - neil@riomultigun.com\nEverything Else: Richard - richard@riomultigun.com

SUMMARY:Vale Steel Challenge - SCSA594 - October 2\, 2026
DESCRIPTION:MOST IMPORTANT INFO:\n*******************************\nWe will start setup at 9:00AM and start shooting as soon as we're all ready.\nThis will be an approximately 5-hour match with all 8 of the official Steel Challenge stages. If you don't want to shoot all 8\, you can leave at any time. See notes below for additional detail.\nYou can register a second gun but we may hold some of those for squadding. We are limited to 2 pits / 2 squads for now\, but will expand to 4 pits / 4 squads as soon as we can.\nMATCH INFO:\n*****************\nThis is an SCSA.org sanctioned Level I Steel Challenge match hosted by the Vale Steel Challenge Club.\n$15 first gun\, $5 second gun\, cash only. First timers to this club shoot for free\, kids ages 8 to17 are welcome and always shoot free\, but must be supervised by a responsible adult for the entirety of the match.\nIf you leave early without completing the match -- assuming you were not DQ'd --\, your completed stages will count as classifiers for personal bests\, but of course\, you won't get a complete match score. If there are enough requests for a weekly 4-stage match-within-the-match\, we can make that happen.\nGENERAL INFO and DIRECTIONS:\n******************************************\nRound count is 195 plus misses. We will typically shoot all 8 of the official Steel Challenge (SCSA.org) stages\, but may include provisional and non-standard stages. If you provide your SCSA member number\, results will also be included in your Classification profile and available at SteelRankings.com as well as in the Score Tracker app by Gunz 'n Coffee. Match results will be available at PractiScore.com and in the PractiScore Competitor app.\nGPS coordinates @ 43°56'35.16"N 117°13'18.73"W\nDirections: From the town of Vale\, Oregon travel south on Lytle Boulevard about two miles. The only signs are about fire danger and prohibition of exploding targets. Turn right onto the gravel road\, then at the immediate fork turn left and follow the road for roughly a half mile to the range.\nPark anywhere around the first two Conex containers or if that is full\, go a bit further to park near the bathroom building.\nNEW SHOOTER INFO:\n***************************\nIf you are a new shooter or parent of a prospective new shooter\, please read this section:\nYou are welcome to come shoot this match\, BUT PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANY GUNS\, AMMO\, OR GEAR FIRST. You can come and watch a match before you play\, but you will have more fun if you dive right in.\nWe will provide you with a rifle or pistol and all the magazines and ammo you will need to shoot your first match. No charge\, no obligation\, no kidding -- we love introducing new shooters to the sport.\nThere are myriad choices out there and it is overwhelming to choose your first gun. It is also silly to show up to a match with a completely wrong gun for this game (as I did on my first time :-). Almost all shooters love show-and-tell with their gear\, so you can pick their brains and find out what you might like before you spend a fortune.\nPlease watch this safety briefing prior to arrival: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hwO1cyPQqoc\nSteel Challenge is a great match to get you started in the shooting sports or to hone your skills as an advanced shooter. For an introduction to the sport\, please visit https://www.SCSA.org and/or watch this video: https://youtu.be/fni4BlduAYY?si=ydg8bksIIb6n5Rzm\nQUESTIONS?:\n******************\nContact Ron Drynan at 208-398-9630 or RDrynan@SnakeRiverSportsmen.com.\nText messaging is preferred\, and we can schedule a time to talk if needed.\nNote that I have little or no cell coverage at the Vale range\, so catch me early on match day if needed.\n******************
