SUMMARY:TCGC August 2026 Vintage Military Match
DESCRIPTION:Vintage pistol match registration starts at 7:30 AM in the action pistol bay with shooting to start at 8AM.\nShooters will move to the 200/300 rifle range at 9AM-9:30AM for the rifle match. Registration for the rifle match starts at 9:30AM and shooting starts at 10AM. Right side is open to general members.\nAll TCGC Members welcome. Non members\, please contact match directors for approval.\nPistol Match Director: Frank B.\nRifle Match Director: Sean P. and Alex B.\nMatch Description:\nBoth matches are intended to be shot with cold war and prior firearms in unmodified condition. Modern reproductions (1911s\, M1s\, etc) are acceptable as long as they are in equivalent configurations (no modified triggers\, sights\, bedding etc). Non compliant firearms may be used\, but won't be eligible for final rankings.\nPistol:\nPistol matches are shot in two strings of 36 rounds (72 rounds total) from fixed firing lines at 7\, 14\, and 21 yards with a combination of single hand and two hand (both left and right handed) with each position and distance firing 6 rounds each (to accommodate revolvers). Holsters are allowed for moving between firing lines\, but will be only used with unloaded firearms. If no holster is available\, please bring a box or case to allow for safe movement between firing points. We will move between firing points as a group.\nRifle:\nRifle matches are shot at 200 yards from four different positions. We will shoot 10 rounds each in slow fire prone\, rapid fire prone\, rapid fire seated\, and slow fire standing. Up to 5 sighters are allowed bringing the total rounds to 45 rounds (if all sighters are used). Slow fire stages will be given 10 minutes to fire 10 rounds while the rapid fire stages will be timed for 90 seconds for 10 rounds. Rapid fire stages will start with either 2 rounds for semi autos or 5 rounds for bolt action. The remaining 8 or 5 rounds will require a reload. Shooters will be divided into two relays with one half firing and the other half pulling targets in the "pit". All scoring will be done by the shooters themselves.

SUMMARY:SWGC USPSA Pistol Match - August 2026
DESCRIPTION:Sir Walter Gun Club - USPSA Pistol Match – 8 Stages\n$25.00 for non-members of SWGC\, $15.00 for members of SWGC. Jr. shooters are $10.00\nThe Match Director will also serve as the Range Master for this match.\nNOTE: If you withdraw from the match before midnight on the Thursday before the match\, you will be refunded your match fee less $2.00 to cover the fees. No refunds or credits will be given for withdrawals after that time or no shows at the match.\nSir Walter Gun Club SIG Sauer P320 Ban\nEffective 8/7/2025\, all SIG Sauer P320-based pistols are prohibited at Sir Walter Gun Club until further notice.\nIn the interest of safety for all members and visitors\, the Sir Walter Gun Club board is implementing a temporary ban prohibiting all SIG Sauer P320-based pistols from being brought onto or used on club property. This includes all variants and modified versions of the P320 platform\, such as the X5.\nThis decision has been made following a series of recent incidents and un-commanded discharges involving the P320 platform. Considering these events\, several government agencies and private facilities have also adopted similar temporary restrictions on the use of these firearms while further testing and evaluations are conducted.\nWe understand that this may be an inconvenience to some of our members and guests\, and we sincerely thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we prioritize the safety and well-being of our entire community. The Sir Walter Gun Club board will re-evaluate this decision in the future as new credible information emerges.\nPlease Note: This restriction applies only to the P320 and its variants. All other SIG Sauer pistols and rifles are unaffected by this ban and remain welcome on club property.
