DESCRIPTION:This match is made up of 3 stages for beginner and intermediate shooters. Be prepared to test your skills of target acquisition and transition while moving between shooting positions.  Pistol caliber only will be allowed with a round count of 75-100 rounds for the entire match. It usually consists of 3 stages depending on crowd size. Check-in is 5:30-6:15. There will be 2 squads to sign up on\, but you may be moved to balance them out before the match starts.\nAs a new shooter\, you don't have to be an IDPA member to shoot a match\, but after 3 matches\, you will need to join IDPA to continue to participate. Registration Closes 8:30am.\nSafety Brief at 8:45am.\nHammer down at 9:00am.\nIf you arrive after 8:15 am you may not be able to shoot.\nYou are required to attend the safety brief.\nMATCH DESCRIPTION:\nThis match will consist of 6 Official Steel Challenge stages.\nRound count will be 150+. Bring extra ammo\, as it there is none available for purchase at the facility.\nShooters are limited to 2 guns.\nRULES:\nThis is a Tier 1 local Steel Challenge match and we will abide by the rules of Steel Challenge Shooting Association. They can be found here: https://scsa.org/rules\nAll 14 SCSA divisions as well as 2 provisional divisions\, Rimfire Revolver Optic (RRO) and Rimfire Revolver Iron (RRI) are available to shoot. So let's see those rimfire wheel guns.\nThough you may register in multiple divisions\, you may only register once in any individual division.\nSCORING:\nWe will use the normal Steel Challenge Scoring.\nSAFETY AREAS:\nYork is a COLD range. Firearms must be unloaded at all times except during the match under the direct supervision of a Range Officer (RO). HANDLING OF FIREARMS AT VEHICLES IS PROHIBITED. Long guns must have an EMPTY CHAMBER INDICATOR (Chamber Flag) IN PLACE at all times starting from the moment the rifle is uncased for placement in a gun cart or brought to the shooting position. Pistols may be unbagged and holstered ONLY at designated Safety Areas or unbagged under the direction of a RO at the shooting position.\nSafety Areas are clearly marked with signs. If the table doesn't have a sign marked "Safety Area" then it isn't one and Gun Handling is not allowed there but ammunition handling is.\nNO AMMUNITION HANDLING in safety areas. Note that cinder block and plywood walls ARE NOT safety areas. Use of suppressors is not prohibited but the match director can not assure accurate times.\nAt York SCSA Shooters\, rimfire is 22lr only and must be below 1300 fps. For centerfire no major power factor loads\, No magnum loads. Our steel is not AR500 rated. The use of ANY Steel core\, or steel (bimetal) jacketed ammunition (even with permitted calibers) is PROHIBITED on our steel will be an immediate disqualification and the shooter will be financially responsible for damage to the steel plates.\nMatch fees:\n$20 for Adult 1st gun\n$10 for 2nd gun.\nFree for juniors (17 and under)

DESCRIPTION:Target Sports Canada - Weekly Club Level Tier 1 IDPA Match.\n**** PLEASE READ ****\n* MATCH & SAFETY BRIEFING is a Mandatory Requirement for shooting the match.\n* If you are not present at the beginning of the Match & Safety Briefing\, you will not be allowed to shoot the Match.\n* Be courteous to the other competitors and match volunteers by being early and helpful throughout the match.\n* Competitors must bring a $5 bill for their match fee since we don’t offer changes.\n* Squad 1: Please report to the classroom by 5:30pm and help build the stages and gear up. The earlier we finish building the stages\, the earlier we can start and shoot more stages.\n* The classroom door will be locked by 6pm\, followed by Match & Safety Briefing.\n* Squad 2: Please report to the classroom by 7pm. All competitors must stay until the end of the match to help tear down\, put props back into the container and clean the range floor.
