Shooters will be "scored" based on stage time plus penalties.\nShooters should bring a semi-automatic rifle and plan on firing up to 150 rounds. Up to 4 magazines may be utilized on a single stage\, and your favorite mag retention system is encouraged. We do not impose limitations on firearms; all calibers and legal equipment is welcome. Green tip or steel core ammunition is not permitted for use on steel targets. Optics are shooters choice\, iron sights\, red-dots\, and magnified optics are all welcome. Practical Rifle is a great opportunity to gain experience with all your gear!\n**NOTE: We operate a "cold range" and rifles are required to be unloaded in a case or cart\, with a chamber flag inserted at all times.\nAll skill levels are welcome\, and we always welcome new shooters!\nRegistration fees are non-refundable\, except in the event of match cancellation.\n*****Squadding*****\nClick "View Squadding" below to see if there are open spots in the squad of your choice. Only register if you are happy with squadding availability. After you register\, you will be sent a link to squad yourself. SUMMARY:Cedar Fork Precision Steel GAS GUN ONLY Clone
DESCRIPTION:PRS style Gas Gun (semi-auto only) match. Long range center-fire rifle on steel targets from 350 yards out to 600 or so. This match is NOT necessarily suited for LPVO rifles but is still good training. There will be 6 stages\, limited to 25 shooters. Scoring for this match will be “Time Plus” scoring with with all targets being designated as “Hit to advance” and have a 20 round limit per stage so a maximum of 120 rounds but there will only be 54 or so potential target engagements. There will be a video posted on the Cedar Fork Precision YouTube page (prior to the first match) discussing the changes and examples of how these stages are shot and scored. These matches are definitely friendly to the shooter that has not stretched the legs of their rifle as well as the highly experienced distance shooter. I as the match director and owner of the range my intent is to establish as much of a learning and enjoyable environment as possible. This will be a season long points race. You only need to shoot a total of two matches to qualify for the finale planed for September 19th\, 2026. Details will he filled in as the season progresses.
