If in a cart the muzzle is reasonably vertical (pointing down)\, and a chamber flag is in place. A flagged carbine is treated the same as a holstered pistol\, except for sweeping rules.\n• Uncasing the carbine may be done in a safe area\, or against a side berm or backstop.\n• When a competitor is called to the line to shoot\, they may carry an empty\, with chamber flag\, PCC muzzle up or muzzle down\, or the PCC may be cased.\n• After “Hammer down and Flag”\, with an empty with chamber flag PCC\, the competitor can immediately re-case the PCC or carry the PCC as stated above. The PCC can then be carried to a side berm staging area well behind the firing line and placed back in a case or on a cart.

A Sharpshooters Indoor Range Match pass will be awarded on a random basis out of all non-sponsored shooters that complete the match. Minimum Equipment: Pistol or Revolver\, in a safely secured container (Holster\, Range Tray\, Range Bag\, or zippered gun rug)\, and//or rifle in a secure case and rifle chamber flag\, 3 mags (if you have less\, someone can reload one for you while you are shooting the next string)\, eye\, and ear protection. You may sign up for 2 divisions maximum. If you want to shoot more than 1 division\, you will need to sign separately for each one. There will be a $5 fee for all additional divisions.

DESCRIPTION:This is an indoor USPSA style match with three stages.  The stages will include static and dynamic paper targets as well as some self healable falling targets.  This is an indoor match so safety is of primary concern.  A safety briefing will be held prior to the match.  Standard USPSA equipment rules are in effect.  Guns brought into the facility must be holstered/cased and unloaded.\nThe match will be shot in three sessions.  There will be a Wednesday afternoon session\, Wednesday evening session and a Thursday evening session. SUMMARY:Heartland Steel Challenge League April 23rd
DESCRIPTION:Steel Challenge is a speed shooting competition governed by the Steel Challenge Shooting Association (SCSA) that consists of eight standardized stages with steel targets in three sizes; small circular (10”)\, large circular (12”) and rectangular (18×24”) targets. Competitors are scored solely by the time it takes them to complete each stage\, and the match winner is the competitor with the lowest overall time.\nThere will be 3 stages with 5 steel targets on each. Shooters get five runs on each stage. Each competitor shoots each stage five times\, with their slowest run dropped. The counting times are totaled for their stage score\, and the 4 stage scores are added together to establish the competitor’s match score.\nFor each run\, one hit per target is required\, with an unlimited number of rounds. The last target to be shot is known as the “stop plate”\, which stops the timer. Any primary targets that have not been hit after the stop plate has been struck\, will be scored with a 3-second penalty each. The maximum time permitted for a run is 30 seconds and a competitor will be stopped and asked to reload if they reach the 30 second limit.

DESCRIPTION:Introduction to Steel Challenge at Mill Creek Rifle Club\, De Soto\, KS.  3 stages in the evening. Right now I am limiting registration to 1 gun\, depending on how squads fill up I will send out an email if adding a second gun is possible .  $10 match fee for adults.  $5 each for a second gun if room allows.  Pre-teens and Juniors 13-17 $5 match fee for first gun.  Payment for now will be accepted at the range beginning at 5:00pm on match day .  New competitor orientation at 5:30pm.  Shooters meetings at 5:45pm.  Match begins at 6:00pm.  We will try to keep squads together but it may be necessary to move shooters to make sure there are RO’s available on each squad. New shooters need to volunteer to learn how to run the tablet and or timer and everyone not on deck\, shooting\, or loading magazines needs to be helping paint. If everyone helps we should be able to finish a stage in approx 30 min to be able to finish in a timely manner.

Match sign-in\, match day payment\, and set-up will begin at 4:30 PM\, all those wishing to help set-up are always welcomed.\nThere will be a mandatory safety briefing at 5:30 PM and the match will follow.\nWe will shoot 2 USPSA Steel Challenge stages:\nSC-103\, Smoke and Hope.\nSC-105\, Accelerator\nMinimum round count for the match is 50 rounds\, PLEASE bring more rounds than this.\nThe match will follow USPSA Steel Challenge Competition Rules.  Shooters are responsible for being in compliance with equipment requirements mandated by the rules for the division they choose to shoot in.
