DESCRIPTION:Come join us for our September pistol shoot.\nBring 100 rounds of ammunition minimum\, just to be safe.\nOur courses will include a warmup drill\, which we will run more than once. A main course which will be ran once. And a steel shoot which may be ran more than once (course dependent).\nWe allow calibers up to 50AE. There are no equipment restrictions beyond unsafe equipment (i.e open trigger holsters)\, Forced Reset Triggers FRTs\, Binary triggers\, "switches" or other devices to simulate fully automatic fire.\nTime plus\, following a blend of other popular pistol shooting sports rule books. DESCRIPTION:Thurmont welcomes you our GPA club match! Depending on registrations and the weather we are hoping for 4-8 stages. $20 unless you are assisting with setup or a SO working the match. Please bring exact change. Setup is scheduled for Friday 9/18@10am and anyone who attends setup will have their fee waived.\nEveryone is expected to arrive by 8:30AM on match day and stay until all materials are stowed and trash taken out and brass collected. For New Shooters please email dillinger7156@gmail.com. You may be required to attend a formal training class or an orientation. Arrive no later than 8:30AM\, registration 8-830AM with safety brief shortly after and hammer down by 9am. We run a cold range\, so do not bring loaded and holstered guns unless you are LE or legal carrier\, then notify the Match Director when arriving so we can unload you at the appropriate time. Guns are only to be handled at the safe tables or under the direct supervision of an SO. No gunning up at your vehicles. And no ammo at the safe tables. There is to be no steel\, green tip or tracer ammo. Muzzle-up reloads with a finger in the trigger guard are a DQ at our range. Please note you are allowed to use the Sig P320 firearms in GPA.

We are irreverent and don’t report to any alphabet soup organization coordinators/directors or need to divine our founders’ intent. This allows us the freedom to do whatever we please! That said\, outside of safety\, we are not a fan of rules. We keep them to a minimum and stupidly simple. Scoring is Time Plus\, USPSA classic targets are pistol only while metric are rifle only. A healthy dose of head shots are smattered about to keep things from becoming a hose fest. If the mood strikes us\, an occasional plate rack or clays. SUMMARY:Turtle Creek Close Combat Match
DESCRIPTION:This will be a 10 Stage\, Tier 2 match featuring all divisions except PCC. Our primary emphasis with this match is close combat shooting with all targets 10 yards or less and 16 rounds max per string of fire. Although the match is open to all divisions except PCC\, our primary emphasis is BUG. For this reason\, we are offering BUG Optic as a Specialty Division(SPD). BUG -O shooters will compete under Carry Optic rules except for the gun test box size.  BUG-O shooters will use the standard BUG box size with an optic cut.  Sign up using your current BUG classification.   Bug-O will use the CO Power Factor of 125.  There will be no chrono for this match.  BUG Optic loading will be 10+1.  At the Match we will recognize BUG Optic as a Specialty Division and award trophies within this SPD.   IDPA does not currently recognize BUG-O as a division\, after the Match all BUG Optic shooters will have their SPD changed to CO for submission to IDPA for points credit. Staff will shoot on Saturday and competitors will shoot on Sunday. 4 Squads of 10 in the morning and 4 squads of 10 in the afternoon. Awards will be after the afternoon squads finish. DESCRIPTION:This is a Multigun match hosted at Topton Fish and Game Association. We will be following the IWI Multigun ruleset (Please see attached match Documents). There are multiple divisions offered allowing for 2\, 3\, or 4 guns to be used throughout the match. Typical matches require 150 rounds of pistol\, 150 rounds of rifle\, 100 rounds of birdshot\, and 5 or less slugs. Sign-in the day of the match is open from 7:30am to 8:30am\, with a mandatory shooter briefing at 8:45am. DO NOT BE LATE FOR SIGN IN. When you arrive\, please maintain the 5MPH speed limit from the main road all the way up to the ranges. Park in the field to the right side of the range access road. Sign in shed is at the top of the hill. All long guns must have a chamber flag inserted at all times when not on the clock\, and all pistols must be empty and holstered. Recommended firearms: AR Type Rifle\, semi-auto pistol\, and semi-auto shotgun if shooting 3-gun. Matches are rain or shine\, refunds are available up to 1 week before the match. Setup for the match is the Saturday before starting at 9am. Any shooter who helps set up on Saturday will have their match fee waived.
