SUMMARY:Long Gong Clear Spring\, August (4th Saturday)
DESCRIPTION:WELCOME TO LONG GONG @ Izaak Walton Clear Spring!!\nTHE GAME- This is a 300 yd. shooting challenge using any rifles chambered in .22 LR only. The object is to\nShoot the highest score possible.\nTHE TARGET- The targets are AR400 1/8" thick rimfire gongs\, an 8”\, a 6”\, and a 4” gong. Each gong has a value\, 1 point for the 8”\, 2 points for the 6”\, and 3 points for the 4” gong.\nTHE SETUP- From a bench rest (limited to bipods and bags\, no sleds) each shooter\, with 10 rounds of ammunition begins by shooting for the 8” gong. The shooter has a 3-minute time limit to complete their round\, the clock starts with their first shot.\nTHE ORDER- If the shooter hits the 8”\, they score 1 point and now can choose to advance to the 6” gong or continue shooting for the 8” gong. If the shooter advances to the 6” gong and connects\, that hit is worth 2 points\, and they now can choose to shoot for the 4” gong.\nTHE RULES- The shooter must tell the scorekeeper when they switch gongs. A hit only counts if it’s a solid gong hit\, chain or hanger hits do not count. If the shooter misses\, they must go back one gong. If the shooter shoots the wrong gong\, it counts as a zero and the shooter must resume shooting on the correct gong.\nTHE SCORE- The score is totaled after each shooter\, with a possible high score of 27 points (1+2+3+3+3+3+3+3+3+3=27). A complete game has every shooter fire 5 complete sets for a total of 50 rounds of ammunition (1 full box). The highest possible score for a competition is 135 points. In case of a tie score\, the winner is determined by the shooter with the highest single round score.\nTHE COMPETITORS- The order of the shooters in the first set is determined by drawing numbered chips\, and in each successive set the order of the shooters is determined by the scores\, with the lowest score shooting first. If two or more shooters have identical scores\, whoever shot the score initially will shoot first in the following round. (If Tom shoots an 11\, and then Dave also shoots an 11\, Tom will go before Dave in the following round.)\nTHE CHALLENGE- Hitting gongs at 300 yds. with a .22 LR is challenging. Hitting them repeatedly under changing conditions requires all the fundamentals used by the best long-distance shooters in the world. Do you think you have what it takes?\nNote: We will mix the distances up in the beginning matches (i.e.\, 2 rounds @ 200 yards\, then 3 rounds @ 300 yards).\nWe will give a one 5 minute sight in time before the 1st round @ 200 yds of the match on a 11" x 18" steel plate only. This is done when it is your turn to shoot only.\nPlease come out and join us for some\, or all these events. While competitive in spirit\, these matches are fun shoots and there are plenty of shooters willing to help if you are interested in joining us!\nTime:\n-Gates Open: 0830\n-Check-in: 0900\n-Match Brief: 09:45\n-Match Start: 10:00\n-Cost: $10 for IWLA Clear Spring members\, $15 for non members\nThere is no sight in period before match starts - come ready to shoot.\nThe match is held at the IWLA Clear Spring pistol range off of Independence Rd. Note that the Route 40 bridge over Conococheague Creek and the south portion of Independence Rd will be closed for bridge construction. There will be no entry off Route 40 from the East. Entry will be via Rockdale Rd and Independence Rd from the north. Signs should be posted to detour around the bridge closure.\nGPS coordinates of the pistol range: 39.662696\, -77.837639

SUMMARY:SHOOT SIG - Jefferson County Sportsmen’s Association
DESCRIPTION:Whether you’re new to shooting competitions or an experienced competitor\, you’ll enjoy 3 approachable stages that can be completed with less than 100 rounds and in under an hour. Compete again in the same or another division for a discounted match fee. Bring any pistol or PCC or try out a new SIG pistol or PCC for an additional fee. You must be a SHOOT SIG member and shoot a SIG firearm to be eligible for prizes.\n*NOTE: If you want to shoot in more than one Division or multiple entries in a single Division\, you must first complete your initial registration and pay the initial $45 match fee. Then\, you must register for each additional entry and select "Additional Division" under Extras in the payment information section to receive the discounted match fee of $25. Each additional entry in this manner will allow you to pick a respective Division and Squad; this will result in multiple registrations for the same match being displayed under your PractiScore dashboard profile.\n**NOTE: As a reminder\, we operate using a "cold range" principle which means all firearms are to remain unloaded and in your gun bag/box or holster until you are under the direct supervision of a SHOOT SIG Range Officer and have been instructed to "load and make ready" on a prescribed course of fire. If you are planning to shoot the match with your carry gun and you arrive to the range with a loaded (hot) firearm\, we will have designated safe areas clearly marked where you can safely unload your firearm prior to checking in. Please plan to arrive 15-20 minutes ahead of your scheduled start time to allow enough time to check in at the registration booth. Once you have checked in and are assigned a SHOOT SIG Range Officer with your respective squad\, further instructions will be provided to you regarding when and where you can load your magazines\, and/or function check your firearm (if needed).\n***NOTE: Online Registration will close at 8 a.m. on Friday\, August 21st. Walk up registrations will be permitted during the main match from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

SUMMARY:ASC Outlaw Steel - 8-22-26
DESCRIPTION:ASC Outlaw Steel\nLocation:\n7749 Rueff Rd\nWaterman\, Illinois 60556\nFacebook Page: ASC Action Shooting Facebook\n***Effective immediately: due to safety concerns surrounding the Sig P320\, Outlaw Steel is banning the firearm platform from all outlaw steel events. This decision wasn't arrived at lightly\, but in the interest of safety of our members and guests\, we've had to make this decision. This will be reevaluated at a later date\, once the issue has been rectified by Sig Sauer. Please note\, if you show up with a P320\, you will not be allowed to shoot the gun*****\nWhat is Outlaw Steel?\nThis sport is very similar to Steel Challenge. If you're starting with a rimfire/PCC rifle\, or rimfire pistol\, you will start at low ready. For centerfire pistols\, you're start loaded and holstered with your hands in the surrender position. At the beep\, you'll engage 5 steel targets in any order\, with one steel target painted a different color indicating it's the stop plate\, meaning the plate you shoot last after shooting the other 4. You'll repeat this a total of 5 times with your worst time thrown out and the other four used to calculate your stage time.\nPlease note: calibers allowed are as follows: 22 long rifle\, 9mm\, .40 S&W\, 45 ACP\, 38 special. No bottleneck pistol cartridges\, magnum pistol cartridges\, or bottleneck rifle cartridges allowed.\nThis is one of the best ways to get into action shooting\, as well as getting younger shooters started in action shooting.\nAll skill levels are welcome\, and we always welcome new shooters!\nThis year will be a bit different from last year in that we're setting up the stages the day of the match. With 60+ shooters\, this will literally take 10 minutes at most once all of the steel and equipment is dropped off.\nIf you see that the squads are full\, please continue to register. We'll make room for you.\nSetup starts at 08:00 am. If you can meet at the connex boxes to help load steel and equipment onto the trailer\, that will make things run much smoother. Please note that you must help with setup\, otherwise you will not be allowed to shoot the match. The sooner we are done with setup\, the sooner we can get check in done\, safety brief finished and begin shooting at 9am sharp. Our hope is that we have the targets and bays set up before 8:30am so that I can get the tablets synced\, everyone completely checked in\, and get the safety brief done so that we're shooting at 9am. Shooters not checked-in\, or not helping with setup will forfeit their spot. There are no exceptions to this. There are tasks that don't involve lifting steel\, so if you have physical issues that prevent you from lifting steel\, there will be many other things that need to be done.\n**** IF YOU ARE NOT CHECKED IN BY THE TIME THE SAFETY BRIEF STARTS\, YOU WILL BE DELETED FROM THE MATCH ***\nThe prices are $10 for ASC members\, and $20 for non-members. Second gun is an additional $5\nIf you’re only interested in shooting one division\, please just go ahead and register and pay.\nIf you would like to shoot two guns\, please follow this process and we’ll get you squared away.\n1. Register for your first division\, select option for second gun\, pay\, and squad.\n2. Send an email to ddiomede@gmail.com with the following: first and last name\, email address used for Practiscore\, and the division for your second gun\n3. The match director will register and squad you\nA few other additions going forward:\n1. If you’re bringing a junior shooter\, please select the appropriate box for junior on the registration page since they shoot free.\nUSPSA/Steel challenge range officers\, IDPA safety officers\, or NRA RSO’s will also shoot free if you are the designated RO for a squad. Please email the match director that you’re interested in being an RO for a squad.\n1. Email match director at ddiomede@gmail.com to let him know that you would like to be an RO for a squad.\n2. In the email\, please indicate that you would like to be an RO\, and provide first and last name\, email address used for PS\, division\, and which organization you have your certification in.\n3. The match director will then register you for the match.\n4. If you want to shoot two divisions\, it’ll just be $5. Go ahead and email match director and we'll get you registered and the $5 fee will be set on that second division. You'll just need to log into that second registration to make payment.\nAlso one additional note: In the event that you are DQ'd and are shooting more than one gun\, the DQ applies for both guns. The official rulebook will be updated to reflect this change.\nRegistration fees are non-refundable\, except in the event of match cancellation.\nPlease also be patient with emailing the match director (me). I travel extensively for work and don't have the ability to respond quickly at times.\nLastly\, PLEASE USE AN EMAIL ADDRESS WHERE YOU'LL ACTUALLY SEE NOTIFICATIONS. This is extremely important because we send out event updates. There are some days where heavy rain or thunderstorms are predicted and we have to cancel the morning of. I try to get ahead of storms and cancel at least a day or two before\, but we know that people look forward to these matches and if we're not positive\, we'll play it by ear and check the forecast the morning of the match. Check your email before you leave the house in the morning because it may save you a drive.

All the skills you use in a NRL22 match can be carried over to centerfire rifles and help you confidently jump into those longer distances.\nNRL22 is designed to be fun and rewarding for youth shooters\, new shooters\, and also challenging enough for seasoned precision rifle shooters. NRL22 monthly matches consist of 5 stages that are typically shot from distances ranging between 25-100 yards. There is a good mix between prone stages\, barricade stages\, and positional stages. Steel targets from 1/4” to 6”. Shooting sequence and scoring will be established by the Match Director and will be clearly explained prior to each match during the shooters meeting and by the Range Officer prior to the start of each stage (match books may be distributed at check-in to explain each stage). Match scores will be retained by the Match Director and posted on Practiscore and DR&PC Facebook page.\nThere are 8 divisions.\n1. Open\n2. Base (MSRP of rifle + MSRP of scope = $1650 or less)\n3. Semi-Auto\n4. Ladies\n5. Young Guns (17 & younger)\n6. Air Rifle\n7. Old Guns (60+) Participants shoot the match COF as written.\n8. Adaptive: This is an optional division that will be available to any competitor that has special needs/considerations severely limiting their ability to participate in the match as written.\nRead more:	https://www.desotogunrange.com/NRL22ps\n https://nrl22.org/about/rules/\n https://nrl22.org/faq/\nAny questions Email us at: NRL22ps@desotogunrange.com\nMatch Directors:\nTom Gevers\nMike Manna
