SUMMARY:OSA NEW Service Rifle Match - 06 September 2026 - CANCELLED
DESCRIPTION:OSA's NEW Service Rifle is our version of traditional service rifle\, but modified to reflect current legal restrictions. Like 2016 NSCC\, but MilCun-style.\nOSA members\, affiliates and guests are welcome to participate in service rifle practices.\nThere are 16 matches in four stages\, fired at 200\, 300\, 400\, and 500 meters. Each stage includes a deliberate\, a snap\, a rapid\, and a fire-and-movement match. Only deliberate matches will have sighters. Targets are military Figures. Practices will focus on a limited set of stages or distances so that we can do "work ups". Due to range limitations\, all 100-meter matches will be modified for 150 meters.\nClasses (if we have enough participants) will be:\n- Modern - any rifle\, any sight\, total weight less than 5 kg\, trigger weight minimum of 1 kg;\n- Vintage - any rifle that was on general issue to regular infantry from any army;\n- Sniper - rifle and equipment as per OSA MOS rules\, shot from the prone position.\nYou can download detailed rules and the course of fire from the osacanada.ca website (Events page).\nAmmunition must be proven safe in your rifle; you must have previously fired at least 50 rounds of this load in this rifle. If the ammo shows any signs of excess pressure\, you must withdraw. You'll need about 200-250 rounds for the day.\nWorking electronic ear defenders and safety glasses are mandatory. A spotting scope is recommended. Bring your own lunch and lots of fluid.\n$75.00 for non-members. $25.00 off for OSA members\, $25.00 off for OSA affiliate members. If you're under 18\, register as a junior. OSA Volunteers who want to claim their discount on this event\, please email me.\nCheck in at the 600 Butts at 0830. You may be asked for proof of club membership.\nMandatory safety briefing starts at 0845. If you are not present for the safety briefing\, you will not be able to participate.\nIf you haven't been to an OSA event before\, email lindamilcun@gmail.com for detailed instructions. You must have shooter's liability insurance to enter our facility; i.e.\, you must be a member of the CSSA\, CCFR\, NFA\, or similar. You must be fluent in English to participate in any OSA event.\nNote that we no longer allow photographs to be taken on MilCun property.

SUMMARY:17s PSC - Introduction to Practical Shooting Sports - September 2026
DESCRIPTION:This is an introduction to Practical Shooting Sports Match.\nThe match fee is $25 per shooter.\nRO's Shoot for FREE. To be eligible\, you must be pre-approved. RO's will be placed where they are needed.\nSquad sizes are limited to 11 = 8 shooters and 3 RO's.\nDetails are posted on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/groups/17sPSC\nYou will need the following for this match:\n•	Handgun or PCC - 9mm to 45ACP or 22LR\n•	Holster for the handgun – Please use a quality holster. A holster that flattens out after the gun is drawn is not a good holster and can be dangerous to use. We recommend a Kydex or similar plastic holster that is made for the gun in question and it MUST cover the entire trigger guard and it must hold the gun securely enough that walking or running will not permit the gun to bounce out. Manual retention devices are not required. SERPA holsters will not be permitted due to issues with their retention release button usage causing Accidental Discharges.\n•	POCKET carry is not permitted.\n•	SMALL of back carry is not permitted.\n•	AIWB are permitted for experienced shooters only.\n•	Race Holsters are not permitted.\n•	Magazine pouch – this is optional but recommended.\n•	Ammo – you will need a minimum of 43 rounds for the 4 stages in the match. Bring more in case of make-up shots or re-shoots.\n•	Concealment garment – not needed for this match.\nThe rest of the match details are outlined in the match book\, which can be downloaded from the registration page.

SUMMARY:Iowa Precision Rifle Match (IPRM) - Sept 2026
DESCRIPTION:Iowa Precision Rifle Match (IPRM) is an Entry level PRS style match. This series is designed to help shooters get started in PRS with a low competition level\, low gear requirements\, and coaching along the way. If you want to shoot your first PRS style match this is the place for you.\nMatch Format\nThese matches will have 6 to 8 stages. Each stage you will have a designated course of fire set by the match director and have 8 to 10 shots at each. The course of fire will give you defined positions you need to shoot from (prone\, barricade\, tree\, roof top) and which target you need to shoot on the stage (Target #1\, 5 targets in a row\, targets biggest to smallest). The distance to each target will be provided in the course of fire. The stage could have one position and three or four different targets\, or it might have four positions and one target. At each stage you will have time before shooting to find each target\, write out your drop data\, make a preliminary wind call\, and create a stage plan to execute the course of fire. Once it's your turn to shoot you will have 2 min to complete the stage. Any shots after 2 min do not count towards your score.\nScoring\nScores are tracked per shooter. (no teams). You will receive one point for each impact on the correct steel target during each stage.\nSquads\nThe morning of the match we'll divide up into squads and shoot each stage together. Shooters in the squad will take turns shooting in the order provided. Once all the shooters in the squad have shot the squad will move as a group to the next stage. Shooters in each squad will be asked to help "judge" the match. Shooters will need to keep track of the 2 min time limit\, spot for impacts\, and keep score of how many targets are hit. Shooters are encouraged to help the squad with these duties while not shooting to keep the match moving faster.\nSuggested Gear (Rentals available too)\nWe recommend you come to your first match with minimal gear and see what other shooters are using. Don’t spend a ton of money on gear that is not right for this style of shooting. Ask to borrow gear when you don’t have it. Everyone is there to help everyone.\nRifle with a scope that has exposed turrets. (first focal plane recommended)\n80 rounds of ammunition\nConfirmed Ballistic Data for your rifle and ammunition to 600yds (farther is better)\nBipod\nRear Bag\nData holder for stage targets (mounted on rifle or quarterback arm bar)\nPositional bag\nHearing Protection\nClothing appropriate for the weather\nTripod with binoculars or spotting scope (optional)\nSnacks or lunch as food is not typically provided. Water will be available on the range.\nMatch Schedule\n8:15am - Match Registration and Squading opens (Zero Board Opens) (pay $40 match fee at check-in)\n9:00am - Safety Brief (Attendance Required)\n9:15am - Range Hot (Start Shooting)\n3pm(ish) - Match should be over.\nWe don't give out any awards\, trophies\, or prize table for these matches. They are based around new shooters learning rather than who wins. We will tabulate the score when everyone if done shooting and announce the winners of the match.\nSeries Director\nTed Hoeger\nAccuracyDynamics@gmail.com\n515-669-2325
