SUMMARY:WTR/TSF Long Gong September 2026
DESCRIPTION:WELCOME TO LONG GONG!!\nTHE GAME-This is a 300yd shooting challenge using rifles chambered in 22lr only. The object is to shoot the highest score possible.\nTHE TARGET- The targets are AR400 3/16” thick rimfire gongs\, an 8”\, a 6”\, and a 4” gong. Each gong has a value\, 1 point for the 8”\, 2 points for the 6”\, and 3 points for the 4” gong.\nTHE SETUP- From a bench rest (limited to bipods and bags\, no sleds) each shooter\, with 10 rounds of ammunition begins by shooting for the 8” gong. The shooter has a 3-minute time limit to complete their round\, the clock starts with their first shot.\nTHE ORDER- If the shooter hits the 8”\, they score 1 point and now can choose to advance to the 6” gong or continue shooting for the 8” gong. If the shooter advances to the 6” gong and connects\, that hit is worth 2 points\, and they now can choose to shoot for the 4” gong.\nEXAMPLE-(Dave shoots and hits the 8” gong\, scoring 1 point. Dave says he’s going to shoot for the 6”\, he hits it scoring 2 more points. Dave says he’s going for the 4” gong\, shoots and misses scoring a zero\, and now must move back to the 6” gong. If Dave misses his shot on the 6”\, he will score another zero and be forced to move back to the 8” gong. If Dave hits the 6” he’ll score 2 points and again have the opportunity to shoot at the 4” gong.)\nTHE RULES-The shooter must tell the scorekeeper when they switch gongs. A hit only counts if it’s a solid gong hit\, chain hits do not count. If the shooter misses\, they must go back one gong. If the shooter shoots the wrong gong\, it counts as a zero and the shooter must resume shooting on the correct gong.\nTHE SCORE- The score is totaled after each shooter\, with a possible high score of 27 points\n(1+2+3+3+3+3+3+3+3+3=27). A complete game has every shooter fire 5 complete sets for a total of 50 rounds of ammunition (1 full box). The highest possible score for a competition is 135 points. In case of a tie score\, the winner is determined by the shooter with the highest single round score.\nTHE COMPETITORS- The order of the shooters in the first set is determined by drawing numbered chips\, and in each successive set the order of the shooters is determined by the scores\, with the lowest score shooting first. If two or more shooters have identical scores\, whoever shot the score initially will shoot first in the following round. (If Tom shoots an 11\, and then Dave also shoots an 11\, Tom will go before Dave in the following round.)\nTHE CHALLENGE- Hiting gongs at 300yds with a 22lr is challenging. Hiting them repeatedly under changing conditions requires all the fundamentals used by the best long-distance shooters in the world. Do you think you have what it takes?\nMatch Director:\nSteve Poole\nwtrnrl22@gmail.com

SUMMARY:Hyatt Presents - NRA Americas Rifle Challenge - Sept 2 GUN match
DESCRIPTION:The NRA America's Rifle Challenge (ARC) Program is a dynamic\, marksmanship-oriented\, firearms competition\, based on the AR-15 and/or other appropriate semi-automatic rifles. The NRA ARC program\, administered by the NRA's Competitive Shooting Division\, provides for several different levels of sanctioned matches\, Level 1 and Level 2\, as well as an ARC 2Gun event\, which incorporates semi-automatic handguns and is similar to ARC Level 2. The NRA ARC Program also provides a structured NRA ARC Training Course\, which is under development.\nNRA ARC 2Gun courses of fire incorporate the use of semi-automatic handguns as explained in the NRA ARC rules (link below). Courses of fire are dynamic and generally require movement\, positional shooting\, shooting from props/barricades and test accuracy skills all under time limitations\nSchedule of events:\nMatch setup - 9:00 am - 10:30 am\nMatch sign-in ends at 10:30 am\nMatch safety brief - 10:30 am\nMatch start - 11:00 pm\nMatch Fee - $20 for members / $30 for non-members\nWhen you arrive at our range\, head to the Pro Shop and sign in\, and pay for the match. Then head down to the pistol bays to help set up for the match and be present for the safety briefing.\nAll participants are expected to assist with match teardown\nTwo standard capacity magazines are required for your AR; magazine carriers are nice but not required\, you may use your pockets. Bring 80 rounds of ammo for your AR with an average round count between 60-80 rounds for the match. A rifle sling and Empty Chamber Indicator (ECI) are also required. An OTW holster is required for your pistol\, and two magazines; magazine carriers are nice but not required\, you may use your pockets. Bring 50 rounds of ammo for your pistol\, with an average round count of 40-50 rounds for the match.\nNRA ARC ARC 2 Gun is a dynamic action sport. Holsters\, slings\, and other equipment must be of sufficient quality and construction to retain firearm(s) and other items during vigorous movement.\nWe run a cold range. Please ensure your weapon is unloaded and no magazine is installed when you arrive. There will be a safe area for handling firearms. No ammo will be allowed in the safe areas. NRA ARC matches operate as cold range events. This means that all firearms must remain unloaded\, pistols holstered\, and rifles slung or placed in carts with a chamber flag fully inserted INTO THE CHAMBER of the firearm unless under the direct supervision of an RO or safely handled while in a designated safe area or function fire area. Transport of firearms during a match. When moving any firearm from one location to another (such as stage to stage)\, the firearm will be COMPLETELY unloaded. Handguns will be holstered or bagged\, and rifles will be slung\, fully cased\, or carted with a chamber flag or empty chamber indicator (ECI) properly inserted into the chamber of the firearm.\nFood and beverages will be available for purchase after the match at the After Clays Restaurant and Bar. Ammo\, firearms\, and shooting supplies can be purchased at the pro shop.\n***** IMPORTANT: An NRA Competitor ID Number is required to participate in ARC and is used for classification purposes in all NRA-sanctioned tournaments. Competitors shall visit the NRA competitive shooting web portal and register for this six-digit NRA ID number. This is separate from an NRA membership number. NRA membership is NOT required to participate in ARC events\, but is highly encouraged. Use this link for your free NRA competitor ID number: https://competitor.nra.org *****\nFor more information\, please see the NRA ARC Rule book: https://arc.nra.org/media/10359/arc-rulebook.pdf\nIf you have any questions\, please call us (704) 826-6014 or email matchdirector@hyattshootingcomplex.com
