DESCRIPTION:Colfax Sportsmen's Club is hosting a Duck Flurry match August 22nd starting at 12PM.\nDuck Flurry is a 2 person competition consisting of 50 clay targets thrown one after another at various angles.  The teams of 2 compete together and are scored based on the number of clays broken.  Each competitor starts with two  shells in their gun and then can load as many as they can while their partner shoots.  This is a strategic competition as you don't want to shoot at the same clay as your partner and you don't want to be loading at the same time either.  The team with the highest score at the end of the match wins.\nPrice is $12 per team per entry.  No limit on how many entries you pay to enter.\nThere is no registration page as it is not required.  Show up whenever and remember that the order to shoot is first come\, first served. DESCRIPTION:Welcome to our all-rifle mini action match! Fast run-and-gun stages\, all cardboard targets\, AR/AK platform-friendly. This match is best suited to those with prior action shooting sports experience. Grab your favorite 1-hour time slot(s) for this quick in-and-out 3-stage match.\nShoot your semi-automatic .22LR rifle\, PCC (pistol-caliber carbine)\, or RCC (rifle-caliber carbine). Rifle slings are not permitted. Suppressors may be used with supersonic centerfire rifle ammunition and supersonic PCC ammunition\, but not with subsonic ammunition or rimfire rifle. Hit count is around 65 to 75\, recommend bringing 100+ rounds and multiple magazines.\nThis match is usually on F Range. You must check in at the clubhouse and get a wristband (which must be worn somewhere visible) before proceeding to the range. Be on the range ready to shoot at the top of the hour.  Please arrive with magazines loaded and guns unloaded (empty). We run a cold range for the match. If you arrive with a loaded firearm\, please unload and clear BEFORE entering the range bay. Use the designated safety table on the range to unbag or handle your already-unloaded firearm. Long guns must be cased or have a chamber flag inserted and must be carried MUZZLE UP at all times. All firearm handling on the range must be at the safety table\, except when shooting under supervision of the Range Officer.\nStandard Rifle/Pistol Adult League safety rules apply. Moth Ridge Range Nights allow shooters to use white light and night vision devices on some of the Peacemaker's world class ranges in an unstructured\, open training format. We allow participants to dictate their goals for the night\, from zeroing new setups to running dynamic drills at almost any distance\, short or long. Enjoy access to 10+ private tactical bays AND 'jungle runs' equipped with both steel targets and paper target stands (paper/cardboard available for purchase\, or bring your own)\, and an unknown distance range with multiple steel targets out to 300 yards. DESCRIPTION:This is a 2-Gun Challenge match hosted at Topton Fish and Game Association. We will be following the Topton Challenge Match ruleset (Please see attached match Documents). There are 3 Divisions\, Lightfighter (Open)\, Armored\, and Retro (Iron Sights only). This is an extremely physical match with longer par times\, lots of cardio\, running\, jumping\, throwing things\, and shooting while winded. Typical matches require 150 rounds of pistol and 150 rounds of rifle. Sign-in the day of the match is open from 7:30am to 8:30am\, with a mandatory shooter briefing at 8:45am. DO NOT BE LATE FOR SIGN IN. When you arrive\, please maintain the 5MPH speed limit from the main road all the way up to the ranges. Park in the field to the right side of the range access road. Sign in shed is at the top of the hill. All long guns must have a chamber flag inserted at all times when not on the clock\, and all pistols must be empty and holstered. Matches are rain or shine\, refunds are available up to 1 week before the match. Setup for the match is the Friday before starting at 9am. Any shooter who helps set up on Friday will have their match fee waived. Squads 6 and 7 will shoot the match on Saturday\, squads 1-5 will shoot Sunday. You must have match director approval to be on the Saturday squads.

DESCRIPTION:This is an ADVANCED SHOOTING CLASS. PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE DESCRIPTION.\nThis is a 5 - 6hr course consisting of interactive instruction followed by intense training/practice on the range. Please report to the IDPA pits at the rear of the club. Please do not drive to the pits unless authorized to do so by the staff.\nEmphasis will be on teaching shooters who are new to IDPA to navigate a course of fire safely and efficiently. Students will learn the terminology and range commands used in the sport of IDPA.\nThe following skills/techniques will be taught and then practiced under the supervision of experienced and currently certified IDPA Safety Officers:\nLoading and unloading the gun while on the line;\nDrawing from a holster and acquiring a target;\nProper clearing of the gun at the end of a course of fire;\nHolstering the gun; target transitions; engaging targets in tactical priority; slide-lock reloads; tactical reloads with retention;\nShooting on the move (forward\, backward\, laterally);\nShooting strong hand\, weak hand\, and freestyle;\nProper use of cover; muzzle control while competing; and scoring of targets.\nCertified IDPA Safety Officers teach the basics at the IDPA ranges. The students then proceed to the different pits where a team of certified SOs run students through a small match. Stages are designed to complement the classroom teaching\, and provide practical illustrations to many of the rules of IDPA.\nCost is $25 for non-Old Colony members. Old Colony members are free.\nClass is limited to 20 people. 4 squads of 5.\nMinimum caliber of gun .38/9mm or larger.
