DESCRIPTION:Eastern Colorado Section requires all shooters to have a safety card to participate in all USPSA matches\nThis USPSA Safety Course is designed to educate experienced shooters with the knowledge and skills to begin participating in USPSA matches at Bristlecone and around the state/country! Topics covered in the class are centered around USPSA matches themselves such as match structure and rules\, safety protocols for indoor and outdoor matches\, official range commands\, targets\, scoring\, and more! Students will also be evaluated for their safe gun handling skills and holster draw and will run through multiple drills on our state-of-the-art Ti Training Virtual Simulator! Once students demonstrate proficiency\, students will receive their USPSA safety card which allows them to shoot at matches! **This is not a live fire class.**\nRequired equipment:\n-  Semi-automatic magazine-fed handgun\n-  2 magazines\n-  OWB holster\n-  Magazine carrier\n-  Sturdy belt\n-  NO ammunition allowed in the classroom\nALL firearms MUST be cleared by Bristlecone staff prior to entering the classroom.\nA minimum of 3 students is required to run the class or it may be canceled/rescheduled.\nPLEASE WITHDRAW FROM THE CLASS USING YOUR PRACTISCORE ACCOUNT or cancelations must be made in writing (training@bristleconeshooting.com).\nCancelations received more than 72 hours prior to the class – students will be eligible for a full refund or reschedule to another class (moving the participant(s) to another class within a three-month period).\nCancelations received within the 24 to 72-hour window prior to the class – students will not be eligible for a refund\, but will be eligible for a one-time reschedule (moving the participant(s) to another class within a three-month period)\, for a $25 rescheduling fee.\nCancelations received less than 24 hours prior to the class or failure to attend the class – students will not receive a refund\, nor will they be eligible for rescheduling. We operate under a COLD RANGE policy\, so no loaded firearms on anyone but the shooter running the course of fire (nothing in the chamber AND NO MAG in the gun). If you find that you have a loaded firearm on you\, or in your shooting bag\, you MUST immediately seek out a Safety Officer and have them supervise the clearing of the firearm. Clearing a loaded firearm without SO supervision is a disqualifying event\, so we don't want you to go home before the match even starts!\nSetup at 4:30pm\, new shooters meeting 5:30*\, shooters meeting / announcements at 6pm\, rounds down range @ 6:15pm. DESCRIPTION:RIMFIRE SHOOTERS ARE NOW PERMITTED!\nFolks wanting to bring their 22lr gun and shoot rimfire at a USPSA match are welcomed here as long as they follow the same safety standards as people shooting centerfire. This is intended for those who are looking to get into USPSA and don't want to shoot centerfire\, or those who have difficulties shooting centerfire. If you can and have the ability to shoot a centerfire gun\, please shoot a centerfire gun. There will be some caveats as rimfire shooters will not be able to classify in any official USPSA divisions and any steel will also have to be repainted before a rimfire shooter shoots a stage. Rimfire shooter's scores will be deleted from the match before upload\, but an email will be sent out before with all of the scores. If you want to shoot rimfire\, please choose either the (Rimfire Rifle) or (Rimfire Pistol) divisions.\nThis match will be held at the Sheridan County Sportsmen's Association Pistol Pit Complex.  Match sign-in\, match day payment\, and set-up will begin at 4:30PM\, all those wishing to help set-up are always welcomed.\nThere will be a mandatory safety briefing at 5:30PM and the match will begin\nWe will shoot 2 USPSA classifier stages.\nMinimum round count for the match is undetermined as of (5/12/26)\, please come back here in the future for a round count.\nThe match will follow USPSA Rules. Shooters are responsible for being in compliance with equipment requirements mandated by the rules for the division they choose to shoot in. If you need to make ready\, check your equipment please do at C Bay (lanes 11-15).\nPlease make sure you fill out an waiver once you enter the building\, and payment is required in order to register and squad.\nThis match will be using PCSL rules and scoring\, with little exceptions to divisions.\nDivisions:\nCompetition (COMP): 2011s/SA/DA pistols. Striker fired guns are welcome too. Other than magazine extensions restrictions (no magazines length past 171.25mm). Other than that no restrictions. Compensators\, porting\, red dots and flash lights are permitted.\nPractical Optics (PO): Striker fired pistols (usually full size) as well as SA/Da pistols. Compensators and porting is not allowed. But magwells\, flashlights\, and lasers are allowed. \nFactory (FACT): Striker fired pistols as well as SA/DA pistols as well. Irons sights ONLY\, no red dot sights.  Magwells are allowed\, but porting/compensators are not. DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the Thurmont Friday Steel Challenge Match.\nMATCH DESCRIPTION:\nThis match will consist of all 8\, Steel Challenge stages.\nRound count will be 195 minimum (plus makeup shots). Bring extra ammo\, as it there is none available for purchase at the facility.\nRULES:\nThis is a Tier 1 local Steel Challenge match and we will abide by the rules of Steel Challenge Shooting Association.\nAll SCSA divisions as well as LO\, RRI\, and RRO are included .  So let's see those Wheel Guns.\nThough you may register in multiple divisions\, you may only register once in any individual division.\nSCORING:\nWe will use the normal Steel Challenge Scoring.\nSAFETY AREAS:\nThurmont is a COLD range.\nFirearms must be unloaded at all times except during the match under the direct supervision of a safety officer (SO).\nHandling of firearms at vehicles is prohibited. Long guns must have an EMPTY CHAMBER INDICATOR (Chamber Flag) IN PLACE at all times starting from the moment the rifle is uncased for placement in a gun cart or brought to the shooting position.\nPistols may be unbagged and holstered ONLY at designated Safety Areas or unbagged under the direction of a RO/SO at the shooting position.\nSafety Areas are clearly marked with signs.  If the table doesn't have a sign marked "Safety Area" then it isn't one and Gun Handling is not allowed there but ammunition handling is.\nNO AMMUNITION HANDLING in safety areas. Use of suppressors is not prohibited but the match director can not assure accurate times.\nAll pistol calibers permitted. As per SCSA rules the maximum velocity for any Handgun or Pistol Caliber Carbine shooting steel is 1600fps. DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the 4th Annual U.S. Rimfire Nation Nationals Match!\nThis National level match will consist of 8 stages that include Steel Challenge\, Speed Freak Rimfire\, Rimfire Falling Steel\, and Metal Madness Unlimited.\nThe match will require competitors to shoot both a 22LR Pistol and a 22LR Rifle. There will be two divisions; Open and Limited. Open will have no restrictions on modifications\, magazine capacity\, or optics. Limited will be restricted to Iron Sights only (fiber optics are allowed)\, with no further restrictions on modifications or magazine capacity. If one or both firearms are outfitted with an optical sight\, the competitor will shoot in Open division.\nCompetitors may compete in both divisions if they so choose. The only restriction there is that a competitor must shoot their Open gun on a single stage prior to shooting their Limited gun on that stage.\nThere will be a single prize table with the top three overall finishers walking the prize table in order\,  and the rest by random draw. DESCRIPTION:Match time is 10:00am for Friday and 10:00am Saturday. For those who have not shot a Steel Challenge match before\, arrive before 9:30 for registration and let the person doing registration know this is your first match. A separate short briefing will be held for new shooters. If paying by credit card\, arrive extra early and go up to the clubhouse to pay and bring receipt to registration.\nClub level 1 Steel Challenge match. Fun for everyone from Grandparents to Grandkids. 6 stages\, 150 rounds minimum\, but bring 250 rounds or more. Five mags per gun is nice\, but not required.
