DESCRIPTION:Lewiston Pistol Club will be hosting it's monthly Steel match at the Bernie Petersen range.\nStage set up and registration begin at 9:00\, new shooter orientation begins at 9:30.  Please arrive no later than 9:30\, the match will begin promptly at 10:00.\nThe cost is $15 for LPC members and $20 for non-members. First time match attendees shoot for free. For more info\, please see http://www.lewistonpistol.org/Action.php.\nWe run a "cold range" on match days. Be sure to have all firearms unloaded and bagged when you come up to registration. This includes carry pistols. NEW SHOOTERS: Please read info at http://www.lewistonpistol.org/NewShooterInstructions.php before heading to the range.\nDue to the fire hazard\, metal piercing\, incendiary\, and/or tracer ammunition\, steel jacketed and steel-core bullets are prohibited at the Bernie Petersen Memorial Range.\nThe monthly steel match comprises four stages. Most stages have five static steel targets of various sizes at ranges varying from seven to twenty five yards. None of the shots are hard to make! This is drag racing with a gun. Each stage is composed of five strings\, the slowest of which is thrown out. Other stages may be more open ended with some movement and moving targets. On occasion we will have unusual but fun challenges. Your times for all stages are added together and that's your score.\nFollowing the match\, we often offer a pistol side match consisting of one stage with a ton of steel targets for those who just can't get enough or feel compelled to redeem themselves. In order to compete you'll need:\nEye and ear protection\nHandgun (please no hot magnum loads--they mess up the steel)\nSufficient ammo (175 rounds IF you don't miss--bring more! 200 is usually enough)\nBelt holster (that covers the trigger guard and requires only one hand for drawing and re-holstering)\nSufficient speedloaders/magazines to allow you to shoot at least 35 rounds.\nHope to see you there.

DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the Galactic Pistol Alliance!\nSo\, what exactly is the Galactic Pistol Alliance?  Briefly\, it is an action shooting sport designed to be safe\, challenging\, fun\, interesting and easily underwood.\nGPA has been in development and evolving since December of 2022.  Since then\, we have run literally hundreds of GPA matches and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.  Here are a few features that make GPA such a blast!\n-No concealment garment required.\n-½ second scoring.\n-Every stage may have up to 24 required shots.  More shooting equals more fun!\n-Ammo management is entirely the responsibility of the shooter.\n-You can load your mags to capacity and carry as many as you want.\n-Every stage requires one mandatory reload after the first shot and before the last.  You decide when and where to\n do it.\n-You dropped a magazine with rounds in it?  It's legal!  No PE!\n-Targets may be required to be shot while you are moving.\n-Any stage can have an unlimited number of steel targets as well as unlimited non-threats!\n-With few exceptions\, whatever equipment you are using in another pistol sport is probably legal in GPA.\n-The rulebook is clear\, concise\, unambiguous and only 12 pages long!\nSHOOTERS MUST HAVE\n- Their own firearm\n- Eye and Ear protection\n- Minimum of 100 rounds of ammo\n- Waiver on file\nSHOOTERS SHOULD HAVE\nA quality IWB/OWB hard holster for their firearm (NO Serpa.)\nA minimum of two magazines or speed loaders (for revolvers) and pouches for them\nNo soft (leather/nylon) holsters will be allowed for safety reasons\, however those without a holster (or acceptable holster) may run each stage off of a designated table or starting point.\n(NOTE: ALL SIG 320 VARIANTS ARE PROHIBITED FROM THESE EVENTS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE)

DESCRIPTION:Tickets go on sale at 8AM for Alpha Members (with preregistration code "alpha") and 8PM for general public on the Sunday before a match. Registration ends at 2PM the day before the match or when capacity is reached. If match is full you can sign up for our waitlist and you'll be contacted if someone requests a cancellation.\nOur usual indoor matches feature four to six stages\, usually including one classifier. Once in a while we will shoot an all-steel versus match or another "carnival format"/"theme" match. We start building the stages at 6:00PM (7AM for Saturday matches)\, then shoot until about 10:00PM (11AM for Saturday matches)\, followed by about 30 minute tear-down and cleanup.\nWe require all Illinois competitors to show a FOID. Additionally\, we require competitors be classifed USPSA members in good standing. If you have yet to classify in a division and have not shot with us before\, approval from the match director (uspsamiss@gmail.com) will be required prior to registration.\nNo walk-ins will be accepted!

Appendix Carry IS ALLOWED if done safely.\nIf staff feel you cannot draw safely from an appendix holster\, we reserve the right to have you change to an OWB holster or start from the low ready position for the remainder of the match. DESCRIPTION:Range Gate open at 7:45 AM.\nRegistration and zero range will open at 08:00 am\nShooters meeting is at 8:45 am\nMATCH STARTS  at 9:00 am\nWhat is NRL.22?\n• A gateway to precision long rifle competitions such as the NRL or PRS. Designed to be extremely fun for beginners and seasoned shooters alike. This is a very youth friendly competition as well!\n• This is a “Match in a can” where each months match we will be competing against competitors all over the country shooting the same COF. There are monthly prize drawings held for NRL.22 members who competed that month. (Membership not required to shoot!)\n• Targets will be steel only\, each stage will have required shooting positions (i.e 2 shots at target A then B from the first rung of a ladder\, repeat for rungs 2 and 3). Speed and accuracy are both important in this competition.\n• What is needed to compete?\n• A .22lr rifle with a detachable magazine\n• A scope that will permit you to engage targets at various distances (My preference is a scope with MIL/MOA hashmarks\, but any scope that gives you the ability to shoot various distances will work)\n• Bipod\n• Other equipment that would be nice would be a shooting bag like a gamechanger\, DOPE card\, binos\, Spotting scope\, ballistic calculator app\, etc. There is NO NEED to go buy a bunch of gear before your first match\, plenty of people will be there to lend out gear.\nThis is a COLD range- There will be zero tolerance for any muzzle flagging at this match.
