Turn  left (North) on 9th Street\, which turns into Roger Canyon Road.  The Laramie Rifle Range is 4.4 miles North of Curtis/Reynolds.\nYour first landmark is the landfill on your LEFT (west side of road) about halfway between 9th Street and Rifle Range Rd.  Your second landmark is the deep right-hand curve leading to the tan metal barn with the faded Kelly green roof immediately after the curve; turn a sharp right onto Rifle Range Road immediately after the barn. Please observe speed limits; signs are badly faded and the road is well patrolled. Speeds are 30 mph in town\, 40 mph leaving town towards the dump\, and 55 mph between the dump and Rifle Range Road.\nTurn right (East) on Rifle Range Road and follow the dirt road approximately 0.5 miles to the parking lot and the Range Office.\nCanyon Range Complex\nLong range events will be held at the part of the club called the Canyon Range Complex.\nContinue up the hill about 300 yards\, turning off the road to your left. Continue to the Canyon Range sign\, turning right at the fork going up\, and then downhill to the large parking area at the 600 yard line (near the wooden outhouse). DESCRIPTION:All shooters must pass the orientation class in order to become certified to shoot on the Action Pistol Range. \n\nShooters are taught range requirements and safety and given an introduction into the games and their rules that are played at the Action Pistol Range.\nAfter the conclusion of the orientation class\, new participants are required to compete in the NEXT Steel Challenge Match (the following Sunday) and complete this match without disqualification.\nThe orientation class is not for brand new shooters/gun owners.  Participants shall be familiar with their guns and equipment and be able to demonstrate a minimum level of proficiency with it.  It is recommended that participants spend some time at a public range practicing and getting familiar with their guns and their shooting prior to taking this orientation class.  The orientation class is not\, nor is it intended to be\, training of any sort. It is merely meant to show new shooters the Action Pistol Range rules and requirements and to introduce the new shooters to the types of games played on the Action Pistol Range.\nBring a lunch or snack!
