If it is possible that some competitors arriving at a\nrange where a SCSA event is being held may be in possession of a loaded firearm on\ntheir person (e.g.\, law enforcement officers\, persons duly authorized to carry a loaded\nfirearm\, etc.)\, match organizers should provide an Unloading/Loading Station to enable\nsuch competitors to safely unload their firearms prior to entering the range\, and to\nsafely load their firearms again on departure from the range. During the match\, competitors will refrain from handling their firearms\, except when\ninstructed by a range officer or in designated areas (staging areas for cased long\nguns or Safety Areas).\n10.3.1 Unsafe gun handling—specifically\, handling a firearm unsupervised\, or\noutside the boundaries of a staging or Safety Area. This includes\ndeliberately removing a flag from a flagged firearm without direct RO\nsupervision and command.\n10.3.13 Unsafe long gun handling: Failing to point a long gun in a safe direction\nduring casing/uncasing or placing/replacing on a conveyance/vehicle or\nviolating other actions outlined in 5.1.4 or 2.5.2. DESCRIPTION:Our monthly officially sanctioned Steel Challenge match hosted at Wallis-Orchard Gun Range in Wallis\, TX.\nHammer down 8:30AM.\n​​\nSteel Challenge stages consist of 5 steel plates with one plate designated as the Stop Plate. You can shoot the plates in whatever order you like but the Stop Plate must be last because hitting the Stop Plate ends the current String of Fire. Your String doesn't end until you hit the Stop Plate so you can keep taking make up shots on missed plates until you decide to hit the Stop Plate or 30 seconds elapses.\nYou shoot 5 Strings in a row and your score for that stage is the total time of the best 4 Strings. Basically\, you get one throwaway String. The lowest total time across all stages wins. DESCRIPTION:This will be a paper challenge 50 and 100 yards prone and bench in the morning and a 300 yard long gong in the afternoon. Fees are $20 for paper challenge\, $10 for the long gong or a discounted price of $25 for both with prizes for top 3. Space allocation priority given to shooters doing both morning and afternoon sessions. A shooting bag is very beneficial as well but the NRL22 community is very welcoming and supportive so there will be plenty of bags that can be borrowed if needed. We just want people being safe\, shooting\, and enjoying themselves.\nThis is an outdoor range and we will shoot rain or shine\, so bring clothing appropriate for the weather. The shooting line is covered\, so expect partial protection from the sun and rain. The match will go until about 1:00 in the afternoon\, so bring plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated. Just past the bend is a sign for Blackhawk Range. SUMMARY:DSS - PCSL - 2-Gun - 26-10-10
DESCRIPTION:This registration is for the Dynamic Shooting Sports\, LLC's monthly PCSL 2-Gun match (handgun and carbine).\nPCSL matches feature hit-factor scoring (points per second).  Target scores for the stage are added up and divided by how many seconds it took to complete the stage.  The competitor with the highest hit factor wins the stage (by division).  The stage winner receives points equal to the highest possible target scores for the stage.  All other competitors receive points for the stage based on their hit factor as a percentage of the stage winner's.  All stage scores are tallied for each competitor at the end of the match and the competitor with the highest tallied score wins the match for their division. Essentially\, similar to scoring in IPSC and USPSA.\nThis match will consist of 4-5 Stages.  Round Count varies from match to match\, but we recommend bringing at least 150 rounds each of pistol and carbine ammunition.  We will be using official PCSL rules for 2025 (please check out our website for more details).\nThere are 2 Divisions for this match: Competition and Practical. The Competition division has limited restrictions on the handgun and allows for use of a PCC for the carbine.  The Practical Division has more restrictions on equipment for both handgun and carbine but doesn't allow for use of the PCC.\nThere is only one start time for this event\, 9:00AM.
