Rifles max barrel length is 18 inch barrel\, 10× optic or less\, and a 30-round magazine limit. Tactical competitors are also required to wear kit weighing at least 10 lbs. There are no restrictions on pistols in either division.\nEvery event at Intrepid Defense emphasizes safety\, sportsmanship\, and professionalism. SUMMARY:Long Gong Clear Spring 22lr Rifle Match\, September (4th Saturday)
DESCRIPTION:WELCOME TO LONG GONG @ Izaak Walton Clear Spring!!\nTHE GAME- This is a 300 yd. shooting challenge using any rifles chambered in .22 LR only. The object is to\nShoot the highest score possible.\nTHE TARGET- The targets are AR400 1/8" thick rimfire gongs\, an 8”\, a 6”\, and a 4” gong. Each gong has a value\, 1 point for the 8”\, 2 points for the 6”\, and 3 points for the 4” gong.\nTHE SETUP- From a bench rest (limited to bipods and bags\, no sleds) each shooter\, with 10 rounds of ammunition begins by shooting for the 8” gong. The shooter has a 3-minute time limit to complete their round\, the clock starts with their first shot.\nTHE ORDER- If the shooter hits the 8”\, they score 1 point and now can choose to advance to the 6” gong or continue shooting for the 8” gong. If the shooter advances to the 6” gong and connects\, that hit is worth 2 points\, and they now can choose to shoot for the 4” gong.\nTHE RULES- The shooter must tell the scorekeeper when they switch gongs. A hit only counts if it’s a solid gong hit\, chain or hanger hits do not count. If the shooter misses\, they must go back one gong. If the shooter shoots the wrong gong\, it counts as a zero and the shooter must resume shooting on the correct gong.\nTHE SCORE- The score is totaled after each shooter\, with a possible high score of 27 points (1+2+3+3+3+3+3+3+3+3=27). A complete game has every shooter fire 5 complete sets for a total of 50 rounds of ammunition (1 full box). The highest possible score for a competition is 135 points. In case of a tie score\, the winner is determined by the shooter with the highest single round score.\nTHE COMPETITORS- The order of the shooters in the first set is determined by drawing numbered chips\, and in each successive set the order of the shooters is determined by the scores\, with the lowest score shooting first. If two or more shooters have identical scores\, whoever shot the score initially will shoot first in the following round. (If Tom shoots an 11\, and then Dave also shoots an 11\, Tom will go before Dave in the following round.)\nTHE CHALLENGE- Hitting gongs at 300 yds. with a .22 LR is challenging. Hitting them repeatedly under changing conditions requires all the fundamentals used by the best long-distance shooters in the world. Do you think you have what it takes?\nNote: We will mix the distances up in the beginning matches (i.e.\, 2 rounds @ 200 yards\, then 3 rounds @ 300 yards).\nWe will give a one 5 minute sight in time before the 1st round @ 200 yds of the match on a 11" x 18" steel plate only. DESCRIPTION:41.259084\, -73.902423\nThis match is a 2-GUN / PISTOL CALIBER CARBINE (PCC) MATCH:\nDepending on the number of participants\, this match will have 2-3 stages.\nThis match can either be shot as a 2-gun (Rifle/Pistol) or a PCC.\nThe stages in this match will consist of a mix of steel of varying sizes and IPSC paper targets.  Maximum target distance is 25 yards.\nTypical stages will require 10 shots from your rifle and 20+ shots from your pistol.  If you are running a PCC\, 30+ shots.\nThis will be a physically challenging match\, so please keep that in mind when you sign up.  It will test your ability to manipulate your firearm in and out of barricades and shoot under physical pressure.  A good back and knees will be required. If you're not capable of quickly getting up from a prone position\, this is likely not the match for you.\nIf you intend to run the course more than once\, please register a second time with a 2 at the end of your name.\nThis is a Time Plus scored match.  Scores will be based on overall time with penalties for any un-engaged targets.\nMust be at least 13 to participate\, shooters under the age of 18 must have a guardian present with them at all times.\nSPECTATORS are NOT allowed at the match.\nWHAT TO BRING:\n- A (centerfire rifle and centerfire pistol) OR a pistol caliber carbine (PCC). Unsafe gun-handling. Handling ammunition in a Safe Area.  Safe Areas are the only areas a firearm may be handled and worked on by a competitor not under the direction of a Range Safety Officer. Cold Range - at no time may a competitor have a loaded firearm on them\, unless under the direction of a Range Safety Officer.  Leave your carry weapons in your vehicle.\n8. Our next setup date is 20 September at 10am.\nThis will be a points-per-second (hit factor) PCSL 2 Gun match.\nThe match will consist of 5 stages. Round count: approximately 80 rifle\, 80 pistol. Stages generally require 36 rounds or less to complete.\nYou will not need a sling.\nThe range opens for walkthroughs & use of the function fire area (if available) by 9am on match day. No walkthroughs are permitted before 9am. Even if you have range access by being a member of Belton Gun Club\, please stay off the competition bays until 9am. This is a PCSL HQ expectation to ensure equitable walkthrough time for all competitors.\nPlease plan to arrive by 9:30am. I want to start the match briefing around 9:50am if possible\, and get us shooting as close to 10am as possible.\nPayment is only accepted in CASH during the registration period\, starting at ~9:30am the day of the match. I don't deal with cards\, and I'm not taking your money via Venmo\, CashApp\, or anything like that. I'll laugh at you if you try to hand me a check.\nRead the PCSL rulebook before attending!
