SUMMARY:WEGC Steel Challenge Match December 5 2026
DESCRIPTION:Match Sign-In starts at 7:30am.\nMatch Safety Briefing starts at 8:00.\nMatch starts immediately after Safety Briefing.\nWEGC Steel Challenge is a speed shooting competition that involves shooting arrays of steel targets while timed. There are 8 stages. Each stage has five steel plate targets of various sizes set at different distances. There is a designated “stop plate” which must be shot last in sequence on the stage.\nOn the start signal\, the competitor fires one shot on each of the targets. The competitor must hit each of the steel plate targets on the stage once during the string. The shooter finishes the string by hitting the designated stop plate. Each string is timed\, so the faster a competitor can hit each of the steel plate targets on the stage\, the better. The only penalty for missing a target is a time penalty (3 seconds). This means you can fire as many make up shots as needed to hit each target without penalty.\nAll but one stage consists of 5 strings of fire – or 5 different attempts at the stage. The times for the fastest four strings are added together for the total time (score) on that stage. The worst (slowest) string is thrown out and not part of the total time. The total time for each of the stages becomes the competitor’s total score for the match.

SUMMARY:Buffalo Bill's Christmas Chaos
DESCRIPTION:Most of our matches are USPSA-sanctioned or affiliated. This one is NOT. Instead\, we’re putting together an unaffiliated shooting match built around fun\, randomness\, creativity\, and challenges that you don't see at a typical match.\nExpect several stages featuring weird\, entertaining\, and unexpected challenges designed to keep things interesting and make for a memorable match. The goal is simple: have fun\, shoot safely\, and enjoy something outside the norm.\nEven though this match is unaffiliated with USPSA\, the safety standards and range procedures will remain consistent with what you would expect at a USPSA match. The range will be cold\, and all applicable liability requirements\, terms\, and conditions will remain in effect.\nMatch commands and range procedures will also follow the familiar USPSA format\, so if you’ve shot a USPSA match before\, the basic flow should feel very familiar.\nThere will be 1st and 2nd place awards for each division\, and 1st place awards for each category.\nMatch Directors - Alex Edwards and Logan Valcarce\ncodyaction@outlook.com\nFor those who choose to pay online\, if you withdraw by noon the Friday before the match\, you will be refunded your match fee\, less $1 for online payment fees. If you withdraw after noon on the Friday before the match\, there is no refund of match fees.\nIf a match is canceled by CAS we will refund your match fee\, less $1 for online payment fees.

Night Match Format Targets will be illuminated with white lights. Shooters are not allowed to use white lights at any time throughout the match in order to preserve everyone's night sight; however\, shooters are allowed to use glow sticks or red or green LED lights. Since everything but the targets will be dark\, an illuminated reticle is highly recommended. The props at the firing line will be minimally illuminated with either Christmas lights\, glow sticks\, or red lights. A headlamp may be helpful but remember it cannot be white light and it must be red or green illumination.\nZero Range\nThere will be paper at 50\, 75\, and 100 yards. Steel will be available at 100\, 200\, and 300 yards.\nRange Officers\nDedicated RO’s are a key component of high quality matches. They increase fairness across all of the squads and remove the burden of a competitor having to be the squad RO. Competitors who participate in a match with dedicated RO's have an entirely different match experience. Competitors love that their only responsibility is shooting\, socializing with their friends\, and having a good time. This match will have dedicated RO’s running every stage to ensure that all competitors can concentrate on having fun and ensure all squads are run through each stage in the same manner as the other squads.\nRO’s will have the opportunity to shoot this match as a NRL22X RO Match the day prior and will have the opportunity to earn points towards their NRL22X points race.\nTrophies and Prize Table\nThere will be LOTS of trophies and recognition following the match. Prize table walk TBD.\nOPEN TO THE PUBLIC\nPre-registration and payment is REQUIRED to shoot the match.\nNon-Strategic Edge members and Non-NRL22 Members welcome\n.22 Long Rifle ONLY. Cabins are also available but require a 2 night minimum. Contact Henry Horton State Park for reservations. Numerous options for hotels 20 minutes in almost any direction. Hampton plus others right off I-65 on Bear Creek Pike for example.\nQuestions?\nContact us on Facebook\nhttps://www.facebook.com/TNRimfireNRL22\nor email tennesseerimfire@gmail.com\n***Unlike a normal monthly match\, this is a NRL22X match. There are increased expenses involved with accommodating registered shooters for a night match as well as an X match. Payments are not refundable nor transferable to other matches/events\, but if there is a waitlist and you request to withdraw\, I will gladly offer your spot to a competitor on the waitlist. If a waitlist competitor purchases your spot\, a refund (minus cc fees) will be issued. If there is no waitlist\, you are welcome to advertise or sell your spot. I will not be assisting with the selling or advertising of your purchased spot. If you sell it to another competitor\, you MUST edit your registration information in PractiScore yourself and change it to the new competitor’s name and email and notify tennesseerimfire@gmail.com.
