DESCRIPTION:LONG GONG. Long Gong is a 300 Yard Challenge for the .22LR rifle. The Targets are AR400 steel Gongs with a diameter of 8"\n'\,6"\n"\, 4". Scoring is 1 point for impacts on\nthe 8"\n\, 2 points for the 6" \, and finally\, 3 points for the 4"\nThis match is shot off of a bench with a ten round limit for 5 sets. That's 50 rounds per match. Bags & bipods only. There is a three MINUTE time limit per stage. Order of fire is 8" first and an IMPACT is required to move on to the next target\, than 6"\,\n"\, last the 4". If you miss a\ntarget you have to fall back to the last target impacted and continue from there. On the other hand if you hit a target you can choose to remain hitting said target you will be accumulating that targets point value. Score will be totaled after each round with hight score being 27.\nThis is a Fun & Challenging game of precision for all ages and levels marksmanship. Currently everyone on the waitlist gets into the match; we intentionally set the squad size a little low at first to make sure our squads stay balanced as people withdraw over the course of the week.\nA note regarding withdrawals: recently there has been a significant uptick in last-minute withdrawals and no-shows. This makes it very hard to use the waitlist to fill in and keep squads balanced\, damaging match flow and leading to frustrating stack-ups.\nHistorically\, due to credit card processing fees\, withdrawing from the match had incurred a $5 handling fee. We are trying something new this month: there will be *no* handling fee for withdrawal requests made *before* 5:59pm Pacific on Thursday night. Withdrawal requests made *after* that time will incur a *$10* handling fee\, up to the closure of registration. After 6pm on Friday there will be no refunds\, as has been the case. Our hope is that this incentivizes those who know they can’t make it to drop earlier\, allowing for better squad balancing and smoother-flowing matches; it also removes any disincentive to withdraw if things look doubtful and just re-register later if the schedule clears up. Be prepared with at least 100 rounds for the match and more for zero check or re-shoots.\nThe shooting is from “flat range” conditions (but ground is uneven) up valleys and hills to the targets. DESCRIPTION:Spring/Summer Matches (April-September) - Second Monday of the month.\nFall/Winter Matches (October-March) - Second Saturday of the month.\n•       Rifles arrive unloaded and cased.\n•       No rifles are to be placed on the firing line until all of the match targets have been placed and the flashing "Cold Range" lights have been turned off.\n•	At 8:30 PM the order will be given to place rifles on the firing line\n•	Rifles will be placed in the designated area next to your squads shooting lane\n•	Rifles are to be taken out of the case pointed down range with the bolt open and supported by the front rest\n•	Rifle setup\, dry fire and target acquisition may be done between 5:30 PM and just before 6:00 PM when the match starts. One shooter at a time on their designated lane\nMATCH DESCRITION\nMatch requires 24 rounds for score plus extra rounds for first string sighters and tie\nbreakers. Any centerfire rifle up to 30 cal. . This is a single round load event.\nRounds fed from magazines are not allowed.\nThe match is designed as a prone match utilizing Bipod or bag for front rest. No rear\nbags are allowed. Shooters that are not able\, or have difficulties shooting prone\, may\nshoot from a bench following the same support rules.\nShooters will advance into classes based on match scores. All shooters start in\nmarksman class. Shooters advance to Expert class with a score of 18 or higher in\nMarksman class. Shooters will advance to Master Class with a score of 21 or higher in\nExpert class.\nTargets will be as follows:\nMarksman Class will have 1.5 MOA targets at 220\, 340\, 430\, 520 yards.\nExpert class will shoot the same 1.5 MOA targets and distances except will shoot a sub-\nMOA target at 340 yards. Master Class will shoot the same 1.5 MOA targets and\ndistances except a sub-MOA target at 340 and 520 yards.\nPlacement is based on overall score. Tie breakers will be shot at 520 yards.\nShooters will shoot a total of six strings. Shooters will have five minutes for the first\nstring with unlimited sighters but will need to shoot four rounds for score within the five\nminutes. Shooters will have approximately 1 minute between strings. All following\nstrings\, shooters will have two minutes\, with no more sighters. Shooters will rotate\nbetween pairs of strings.\nShooters will be grouped into squads up to five shooters per squad. All squads will\nshoot at the same time and at their designated lane of targets. Each squad is\nresponsible for spotting and score keeping for their squad mates. Hits will be scored on\nthe score card with an X and O for a miss. \nSign in starts as 8:00 AM Match will start at 9:00 AM following a mandatory safety briefing.
