DESCRIPTION:This is our normal 4th Sunday match for September. It is being moved to Oct 11th this one time.\nRegistration begins at 8:30 am with the match briefing at 9:00 am. Our matches typically have 5 or 6 stages. If we run a classifier stage\, I'll let you know in the email I send right before the match.\nMatch Fee is $15 for VCGHC members and $20 for non-members. Shooters who wish to shoot a second gun may do so for an additional $10. A second gun requires a separate registration. If the second gun is a "snubby" in the same division as the other gun- please put "Snubby" after your last name in the registration so it will be easily distinguished when scoring as it won't necessarily show as a different division. Only revolver scores will be submitted to ICORE.\nWe also invite semi-auto shooters to join us. You will shoot following ICORE rules. You are limited to 8 rounds in any magazine and start with 8 rounds in the gun. Just register in the semi-auto iron sights (Semi-IS) or semi-auto optic sights\, (Semi-OS) divisions. List classification as Unclassified. If there are enough in this division\, we can set you up in your own squad. Plan on enough magazines for 36 round stages.

SUMMARY:DRPC Defensive Handgun Match October 11th 2026
DESCRIPTION:The DRPC Defensive Handgun Match offers self defense and home defense scenario based stages and is a great opportunity to build skill with your concealed carry or home defense pistol.  The Defensive Handgun Match helps shooters develop proper use of cover\, puts an emphasis on accuracy\, and provides opportunities to shoot on the move and to engage moving targets. The match also provides opportunities to practice slide lock and tactical reloads and on occasion a variety of malfunction clearances.\nMatches are held each month April through November and  consist of at least 4 stages\, each with their own unique rules posted about a week before the match date. The Defensive Pistol Match is not IDPA and is not USPSA but it's own unique sport with stage and scenario driven rules. Concealed carry gear is encouraged\, concealment or cover garments are required on most stages\, holster\, mag pouches and at least 3 magazines or speed loaders will be needed. All handguns are welcome but please no PCCs or carbines.\nThe match welcomes men and women and teens with safe gun handling experience  accompanied by a responsible adult. Match fees are $10 for DRPC members and $15 for non-members payable in cash on the morning of the match.   Set up is the Saturday before at 10:00 am.  On Sunday\, gates open at 7:15 am.  All shooter must be present and checking in by 8:30 am.  Shooting starts once new shooters have completed orientation\, Safety Officers and Score Keepers are ready to go.\nPre-registration as well as match scores will be available on Practiscore.com under the name DRPC Defensive Handgun Match.
