DESCRIPTION:Monthly Short Range Practical Precision Rimfire match.  This will be at 25-200 yards\, running the NRL22 CoF and additional bonus stages.\nSchedule:\n8:00 setup and sign in\n8:45 safety/stage briefing\n9:00 sight in and zeroing\n9:20 first stages begin\n14:00 (or earlier) tear down and range reopened to members by this time.\nThe match generally ends at around 2pm and clean up takes us to about 2:30.  We will have 8 stages.  We have 4 bays\, with 2 stages in each\, and allow 32 shooters (4 squads of 8).\n1. No handling of firearms when the range is cold.\n2. If your rifle is not properly cased\, then leave it in the car until the range is hot.\n3. Firearms when bringing it to the firing line and when moving from bay to bay should be pointed muzzle up.\n4. When uncasing your rifle\, bring it to the firing line\, make sure the muzzle is pointed down range\, and uncase it.  Muzzle up and rack it\, or leave it on the table/ground pointing down range.\n5. Rifles should always be moved in a COLD state - bolt back\, chamber empty\, chamber-empty flag.

SUMMARY:WEGC Steel Challenge Match October 3 2026
DESCRIPTION:Match Sign-In starts at 7:30am.\nMatch Safety Briefing starts at 8:00.\nMatch starts immediately after Safety Briefing.\nWEGC Steel Challenge is a speed shooting competition that involves shooting arrays of steel targets while timed. There are 8 stages.  Each stage has five steel plate targets of various sizes set at different distances. There is a designated “stop plate” which must be shot last in sequence on the stage.\nOn the start signal\, the competitor fires one shot on each of the targets. The competitor must hit each of the steel plate targets on the stage once during the string. The shooter finishes the string by hitting the designated stop plate. Each string is timed\, so the faster a competitor can hit each of the steel plate targets on the stage\, the better. The only penalty for missing a target is a time penalty (3 seconds). This means you can fire as many make up shots as needed to hit each target without penalty.\nAll but one stage consists of 5 strings of fire – or 5 different attempts at the stage. The times for the fastest four strings are added together for the total time (score) on that stage. The worst (slowest) string is thrown out and not part of the total time. The total time for each of the stages becomes the competitor’s total score for the match.

DESCRIPTION:This match is a modified version of a combat excellence in arms match\, and is especially suited to new shooters using rack grade rifles and ball (mil surplus) ammunition.  Semi-automatic rifles and pistols are preferred.  Optical sights\, iron sights\, match rifles\, or any safe rifle are allowed.  It is not necessary to participate in the pistol phase if one chooses not to.  With prior request\, every effort will be made to provide arms and ammunition to those in need.

This match will include shorter stages but does include lunch and a head to head event at the end (open to all) for those that wish to participate. SUMMARY:TCGC October 2026 Vintage Military Match
DESCRIPTION:Vintage pistol match registration starts at 7:30 AM in the action pistol bay with shooting to start at 8AM.\nShooters will move to the 200/300 rifle range at 9AM for the rifle match. Registration and briefing for the rifle match starts at 9:15AM and shooting starts at 9:30AM. Right side is open to general members.\nAll TCGC Members welcome. Non members\, please contact match directors for approval.\nPistol Match Director: Frank B.\nRifle Match Director: Sean P. and Alex B.\nMatch Description:\nBoth matches are intended to be shot with cold war and prior firearms in unmodified condition. Modern reproductions (1911s\, M1s\, etc) are acceptable as long as they are in equivalent configurations (no modified triggers\, sights\, bedding etc). Non compliant firearms may be used\, but won't be eligible for final rankings.\nPistol:\nPistol matches are shot in two strings of 36 rounds (72 rounds total) from fixed firing lines at 7\, 14\, and 21 yards with a combination of single hand and two hand (both left and right handed) with each position and distance firing 6 rounds each (to accommodate revolvers). Holsters are allowed for moving between firing lines\, but will be only used with unloaded firearms. If no holster is available\, please bring a box or case to allow for safe movement between firing points. We will move between firing points as a group.\nRifle:\nRifle matches are shot at 200 yards from four different positions. We will shoot 10 rounds each in slow fire prone\, rapid fire prone\, rapid fire seated\, and slow fire standing. Up to 5 sighters are allowed bringing the total rounds to 45 rounds (if all sighters are used). Slow fire stages will be given 10 minutes to fire 10 rounds while the rapid fire stages will be timed for 90 seconds for 10 rounds. Rapid fire stages will start with either 2 rounds for semi autos or 5 rounds for bolt action. The remaining 8 or 5 rounds will require a reload. Shooters will be divided into two relays with one half firing and the other half pulling targets in the "pit". All scoring will be done by the shooters themselves.
