DESCRIPTION:Regular 4th Wednesday Steel Challenge at Peacemakers Gun Range. New shooters welcome & encouraged.\nSteel Challenge stages consist of 5 steel plates with one plate designated as the Stop Plate. You can shoot the plates in whatever order you like but the Stop Plate must be last because hitting the Stop Plate ends the current String of Fire. Your String doesn’t end until you hit the Stop Plate so you can keep taking make up shots on missed plates until you decide to hit the Stop Plate or reach the 30 second maximum time.\nYou shoot 5 Strings in a row and your score for that stage is the total time of the best 4 Strings combined. The lowest total time across all stages wins. Most stages are shot stationary from within a shooting box\, but one stage does require you to move between boxes on the clock.\nThere are Divisions for Centerfire pistols\, Pistol Caliber Carbines\, 22 Rimfire pistols and 22 Rimfire rifles. Time is added for misses and certain procedural infractions. \nSteel challenge may be shot with either centrefire handguns\, .22lr rimfire handguns\, .22lr rimfire rifles\, or pistol caliber carbines. No magnum calibres or steel core/steel jacketed ammo are permitted.\nWednesday night steel is run as a 4-stage match. Shooters with current USPSA membership will be able to receive a classification\, provided they complete all 4 stages\, when the classification system updates the following Wednesday.\nWhere:\nBTSA range. Bay 1-5. Shooters may drop their gear at the top but please park down the road or in the lot as parking at the top is needed for match staff. The main road gate and BTSA gates are scheduled to be opened at 5:30 pm to allow entry for non-members but may be open earlier if members are already up to at the facility.  \nWhen:\nEvery:  Wednesday from April 22 – September 16\,  2026\nSetup typically begins at 5:30pm and safety briefing at 6 pm unless otherwise stated at the top of the match description. We are typically done in about 2.5 hours. All competitors are expected to be present for setup and to remain for tear down. If you will be running late\, please send the MD an email. Start times may move a little throughout the season to accommodate sunset times. Men and Ladies can qualify for these teams.\nThe Year score will count 50% and the TOP 30 will be 2 rounds each round 25%. (50%+25%+25% = 100%)\nLadies National and Presidential teams will be selected out of the Top 20 Ladies shooters on the NHRSA rankings where the best 3 scores over 12 month period will count for the Top 20 Ladies to qualify for these teams. Ladies teams will also be selected according to rankings and Top 20 shoot. The year score will count 50% and the Top 20 Ladies will be 2 rounds each round 25%. (50%+25%+25% = 100%)\n   8.13.2	.222 / .223 National and Presidential teams will be selected out of the Top 30 shooters on the NHRSA rankings where the best three scores over a 12-month period will count for the Top 30. Men and Ladies can qualify for these teams.\nThe Year score will count 50% and the TOP 30 will be 2 rounds each round 25%. (50%+25%+25% = 100%)\n 8.13.3     .22 National teams will be selected out of the Top 15 shooters on the NHRSA rankings where the best three scores over a 12-month period will count for the Top 15. (50%+25%+25% = 100%)\n          8.13.4       National Junior teams will be selected out of the Top 15 shooters on the NHRSA rankings where the best three scores over a 12-month period will count for the Top 15. Juniors and Penkop can qualify for this team.\nThe Year score will count 50% and the TOP 15 will be 2 rounds each round 25%. (50%+25%+25% = 100%) \n8.13.5       National Seniors teams will be selected out of the Top 15 shooters on the NHRSA rankings where the best three scores over a 12-month period will count for the Top 15. Senior and Veteran can qualify for this team.\nThe Year score will count 50% and the TOP 15 will be 2 rounds each round 25%. (50%+25%+25% = 100%)\n8.13.6      After the team selection shoot there needs to be a full commitment from each team     member to be present for all team practice events before the international event. If a full commitment can not be given the committee needs to be notified before the team selection shoot. This info needs to be sent to the secretary 15 days prior to the TOP30/20 shoot\n8.13.7      The finale selector panel will comprise of the Chairman\, Vice Chairman\, and Safety officer and reserve the right to choose upon their opinion the best teams representing the NHRSA.

SUMMARY:NHRSA Ope Team Selection Round 2 2026
DESCRIPTION:8.13     The following criteria shall apply to determine the NHRSA Rankings which will be used to select the NHRSA team which will represent Namibia at International events:\n               8.13.1   National and Presidential teams will be selected out of the Top 30 shooters on the NHRSA rankings where the best three scores over a 12-month period will count for the Top 30. Men and Ladies can qualify for these teams.\nThe Year score will count 50% and the TOP 30 will be 2 rounds each round 25%. (50%+25%+25% = 100%)\nLadies National and Presidential teams will be selected out of the Top 20 Ladies shooters on the NHRSA rankings where the best 3 scores over 12 month period will count for the Top 20 Ladies to qualify for these teams. Ladies teams will also be selected according to rankings and Top 20 shoot. The year score will count 50% and the Top 20 Ladies will be 2 rounds each round 25%. (50%+25%+25% = 100%)\n   8.13.2	.222 / .223 National and Presidential teams will be selected out of the Top 30 shooters on the NHRSA rankings where the best three scores over a 12-month period will count for the Top 30. Men and Ladies can qualify for these teams.\nThe Year score will count 50% and the TOP 30 will be 2 rounds each round 25%. (50%+25%+25% = 100%)\n 8.13.3     .22 National teams will be selected out of the Top 15 shooters on the NHRSA rankings where the best three scores over a 12-month period will count for the Top 15. Men and Ladies can qualify for this team.\nThe Year score will count 50% and the TOP 15 will be 2 rounds each round 25%. (50%+25%+25% = 100%)\n          8.13.4       National Junior teams will be selected out of the Top 15 shooters on the NHRSA rankings where the best three scores over a 12-month period will count for the Top 15. Juniors and Penkop can qualify for this team.\nThe Year score will count 50% and the TOP 15 will be 2 rounds each round 25%. (50%+25%+25% = 100%) \n8.13.5       National Seniors teams will be selected out of the Top 15 shooters on the NHRSA rankings where the best three scores over a 12-month period will count for the Top 15. Senior and Veteran can qualify for this team.\nThe Year score will count 50% and the TOP 15 will be 2 rounds each round 25%. (50%+25%+25% = 100%)\n8.13.6      After the team selection shoot there needs to be a full commitment from each team     member to be present for all team practice events before the international event. If a full commitment can not be given the committee needs to be notified before the team selection shoot. This info needs to be sent to the secretary 15 days prior to the TOP30/20 shoot\n8.13.7      The finale selector panel will comprise of the Chairman\, Vice Chairman\, and Safety officer and reserve the right to choose upon their opinion the best teams representing the NHRSA.
