SUMMARY:High Desert 2 Gun Match 2026
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the third annual High Desert 2-Gun match. This year’s match will be a team match. Teams of 2 will shoot 6 stages in a single day\, only 1 person per team should register. Lunch will be provided along with T-shirts. The stages are movie themed again\, with minimal reset to keep the tempo high. The match will be very physical\, be prepared to run\, crawl\, jump\, climb ladders\, push and pull heavy weights. Stages will require the teams to be able to shoot\, move\, and communicate. Radios will not be a requirement but could be useful.\nOnly one person from each team needs to sign up\, there will be options to select two different shirt sizes. If you need a teammate contact Jake Westenkow (jaketron@gmail.com) who will manage matchmaking. Do not sign up until you have a teammate.\nThings to know:\nRifles will need a sling and pistols will need a retention holster. Meaning it won’t fall out when you run\, crawl\, jump\, etc.\nAll weapons will be retained throughout the stage.\nNo PCCs.\nMinimum 3 rifle mags and 3 pistol 15+ rd cap mags. Round counts will greatly increase if your team is not well coordinated or takes you a long time to maneuver. See the covering fire portion for how round counts could get very high very quickly.\nTeams must be ready to shoot by the time the RO is ready for the next team\, failure to do so will result in a 60 sec penalty and the team being moved to the back of your squad. If time doesn’t allow the team to shoot the stage you will get max time plus all penalties. Be ready to shoot when the RO gets to the starting area.\nDrop Mag Targets - Will be painted red and will be a required shot before any shooter moves unless otherwise noted\nHusband and wife teams will receive a bonus on every stage\, but couple’s counseling will take much longer and cost way more\, so choose wisely.\nNew concepts:\nCovering Fire - This means a spinner must always be completing full rotations for the duration of covering fire period\, this will require the team to coordinate to maintain the spin. If the spinner does not continue to spin during the covering fire portion of a stage\, a 60 sec penalty is taken and the shooters must clear weapons\,then move one position back and start the spinner again to proceed.\nTeam Spinner - Each team member is assigned the small or large side of the spinner\, this is their only viable target for the spinner\nUnsportsmanlike conduct - Attempts to make stages easier will be penalized\, leaving targets to “game” the stage will be penalized.\nGear Retention - All gear (back pack\, comm\, bipod\, shooting aids\, etc) must be retained throughout the match. Magazines and ammunition do not apply\, but you will not get special time to collect magazines\, pick them up on the walk back or follow the next team to gather. \nOverview:\nHelp reset the few things that need reset and police mags. Squadmates will also need to help spot hits and confirm spinners remain spinning. Be ready to shoot\, the next team should be standing in the start box/area when the RO gets there. Failure to be ready will result in a 60 sec penalty and being moved to the back of the shooting order.\nThere are several drop mag targets\, they are all red\, and you can retain the mag if you need the ammo. Unless otherwise noted there is a drop mag target before every movement.\nWhen climbing any tower be sure to be careful on the ladders. Three points of contact at all times. Anyone with a suppressor should be aware of where it is to prevent burning yourself while climbing.\nAll static targets get 2 hits\, except drop mag targets. Anything that moves\, gophers\, KYLs\, poppers only get one.

SUMMARY:Oil Capital Defensive Practical Rifle Aug 29 2026
DESCRIPTION:The Defensive Practical Rifle Match is a shooting sport that uses practical rifles/carbines and equipment suitable for real world use\, including full charge service ammunition\, to solve simulated real world self-defense scenarios. Pistol targets\, normally around 10-15 yards\, may be cardboard or reactive steel.\nCompetitors will be sent the day's gate code the evening prior\, through Practiscore. SUMMARY:2026 IDPA Omaha Outdoor Match at ENGC
DESCRIPTION:For questions about this match\, email TJ Mott (tj@tjmott.com).\nThis is the fourth annual IDPA outdoor match at ENGC! We will have 8 stages (150 rounds of ammo should be enough)\, with a lot more freedom of movement and more interesting layouts than our normal indoor matches.\nThis year's match is a Tier 1 event\, which means you do NOT have to be an IDPA member with a current classification to participate. New shooters are welcome. Just check out the FAQ at https://www.idpanebraska.com/faq/ and feel free to ask the range officers any questions on match day.\nRegistration will start with 3 squads. If they fill up and we have enough SO's\, we will expand the squads or create additional squads.\nMATCH SCHEDULE\nMatch sign-in is from 7:45 AM to 8:45 AM. We will NOT be accepting walk-in registrations or on-site payment\, so you must register here on Practiscore if you want to participate. (Spectators do not need to register or pay a match fee.)\nThe match briefing will be at 9:00 AM with shooting to begin immediately after. If all goes well\, we will be done by 1:00 or 2:00 PM.\nMatch setup will begin around 6:00 or 6:30 AM. Any and all help is appreciated\, so please consider showing up early.\nIf you are an IDPA safety officer and you're willing to help with the match\, the registration form will have a checkbox to indicate this. You will likely be bumped around in the registration to balance SO's across squads\, so if you have friends you really want to shoot with\, or are sharing gear\, let us know on match day and we'll do our best to accommodate you.\nRANGE INFO\nEastern Nebraska Gun Club (https://engc.us/home) is an outdoor range a few miles east of Louisville\, NE\, near Omaha (View on Google Maps: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Eastern+Nebraska+Gun+Club/@41.0160638\,-96.1118741\,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x87940c55bc3772af:0x77a8e343f5e43062!8m2!3d41.0160598!4d-96.1096801!16s%2Fg%2F119vx05d6). The entrance is just west of a cemetery\, and it's easy to miss. It is at the bottom of a hill with limited visibility so please be careful when turning in\, and especially when leaving!\nYou do not have to be an ENGC or IDPA member to participate in this match. When you reach the range\, let the range officer at the entrance know you're here for the IDPA match. We will be in Pistol Bays 1 - 5 at the very end of the gravel drive.\nSAFETY INFORMATION\nAlways observe the four rules of gun safety:\n1. Always treat every firearm as if it is loaded.\n2. Keep your finger off the trigger and out of the trigger guard until you are aimed at a target and ready to fire.\n3. Don't point your muzzle at anything you don't want to destroy.\n4. Always be sure of your target and what's beyond before firing.\nThis match will observe a COLD RANGE. This means all firearms MUST be unloaded and either cased or holstered when not in use. Furthermore\, there is NO HANDLING of firearms until it is your turn to shoot and the range safety officer gives you the "Load and Make Ready" command. Failure to follow this rule will result in a match disqualification.\nIf you need to inspect/clean your firearm\, test your red dot\, etc.\, you may do so at one of the designated safe areas. Bring your cased or holstered firearm (unloaded) to the safety area\, then you may uncase/unholster it while keeping it pointed in a safe direction. Do not handle any ammo at the safety areas. (You may load magazines at any time anywhere EXCEPT the safety areas.)\nIf you have a CCW permit and you brought a loaded and holstered firearm to the range\, that is fine. You will have the chance to safely unload it during the equipment check at sign-in.\nWhile you are running through a course of fire you MUST follow the 180 rule (more info at https://www.idpanebraska.com/faq/)\, and ideally keep your gun pointed at the berm at all times including during reloads. Breaking the 180 will result in a match disqualification\, as will firing any rounds over the berm. Keep your finger off the trigger while moving or reloading. Failure to do this will result in a warning on the first offense\, and a match disqualification on the second.\nFor more information about IDPA in the state of Nebraska\, check out https://www.idpanebraska.com/.

SUMMARY:Long Gong Clear Spring\, 22lr Pistol Match August
DESCRIPTION:WELCOME TO LONG GONG PISTOL @ Izaak any pistol with a barrel 15" or less chambered in .22 LR only. The object is to\nShoot the highest score possible.\nPISTOL CLASSES\nIron Sights\, with a 15" or less barrel\nRed dot or Pistol Scope with a 15" or less barrel\n THE TARGET- The targets are AR500 rimfire gongs\, an 5”\, 4”\, and 3” gong. Each gong has a value\, 1 point for the 5”\, 2 points for the 4”\, and 3 points for the 3” gong.\nTHE SETUP- From a bench rest (limited to sand bags\, no sleds) each shooter\, with 10 rounds of ammunition begins by shooting for the 5” gong. The shooter has a 3-minute time limit to complete their round\, the clock starts with their first shot.\nTHE ORDER- If the shooter hits the 5”\, they score 1 point and now can choose to advance to the 4” gong or continue shooting for the 5” gong. If the shooter advances to the 4” gong and connects\, that hit is worth 2 points\, and they now can choose to shoot for the 3” gong.\nTHE RULES- The shooter must tell the scorekeeper when they switch gongs. A hit only counts if it’s a solid gong hit\, chain or hanger hits do not count. If the shooter misses\, they must go back one gong. If the shooter shoots the wrong gong\, it counts as a zero and the shooter must resume shooting on the correct gong.\nTHE SCORE- The score is totaled after each shooter\, with a possible high score of 27 points (1+2+3+3+3+3+3+3+3+3=27). A complete game has every shooter fire 5 complete sets for a total of 50 rounds of ammunition (1 full box). The highest possible score for a competition is 135 points. In case of a tie score\, the winner is determined by the shooter with the highest single round score.\nTHE COMPETITORS- The order of the shooters in the first set is determined by drawing numbered chips\, and in each successive set the order of the shooters is determined by the scores\, with the lowest score shooting first. If two or more shooters have identical scores\, whoever shot the score initially will shoot first in the following round. (If Tom shoots an 11\, and then Dave also shoots an 11\, Tom will go before Dave in the following round.)\nTHE CHALLENGE- Hitting gongs at 100 ft. with a .22 LR is challenging. Hitting them repeatedly under changing conditions requires all the fundamentals used by the best pistol shooters in the world. Do you think you have what it takes?\nWe will give one 5 shot sight in time before the 1st round of the match on a 10" steel plate or berm only. This is done when it is your turn to shoot only.\nPlease come out and join us for some\, or all these events. While competitive in spirit\, these matches are fun shoots and there are plenty of shooters willing to help if you are interested in joining us!\nTime:\n-Check-in: 0900\n-Match Brief: 09:45\n-Match Start: 10:00\nCost:\n$10 for IWLA Clear Spring members\n$15 for non members\nThere is no sight in period before match starts - come ready to shoot.\nThe match is held at the IWLA Clear Spring pistol range.\nGPS coordinates of the pistol range: 39.662696\, -77.837639
