DESCRIPTION:KFGC Action Pistol Practice is an opportunity for shooters to practice their shooting skills\, test new equipment\, and have a good time. It is an excellent opportunity for shooters new to action shooting to give it a try before entering a match. This event intends to provide practice time for experienced competitive shooters by providing a variety of drills that build skills and speed. It also offers first-time competitors a stress-free\, friendly environment where they can learn about competitive shooting through practical application. New shooters will be “coached\,” by more experienced competition shooters.\nCompetitors must bring safety eyewear\, hearing protection\, a suitable firearm\, a sturdy belt\, a belt-mounted holster they feel comfortable drawing from\, enough magazines to carry 30 rounds\, and 150 rounds of ammunition. It's recommended that competitors bring magazine pouches but you're also welcome to put spare magazines in your pockets if you don't have magazine pouches. All Competitors are expected to demonstrate safe weapons handling at all times. Competitor check-in will begin at 4:30 pm at KFGC pit 4. A safety briefing will be at 4:50 pm and shooting starts at 5:00 pm. No walk-ons allowed.\nAll firearms shall be unloaded and cased upon entering KFGC. Once inside Pit 4\, check in with Nola or Rich\, and if you are new to the practice\, the Range Officers will walk you through the process of gearing up with your firearm. This event will be a "COLD RANGE". Do NOT gear up in any location other than on the range under the supervision of the staff.

DESCRIPTION:Eagle Eye Challenge is designed to test your skills in a timed\, moving and shooting competition. The courses of fire will challenge you mentally and physically. Shooters will engage targets from behind cover or from a seated position\, while also having to perform magazine changes. Your final time will be based upon hits and misses.\nSuggested Items:\n1 firearm\n2 boxes of ammo\n3 magazines\nHearing and eye protection\nLong sleeve shirts and pants\nEquipment:\nIron sights or red dot optics\n3 magazines\nAmmunition:\nStandard commercial and reloaded ammunition is permitted.\nAny type of ammunition designed for penetrating metal is NOT permitted.\nIf you are using a rental thru the SSEC you must purchase our ammunition to use thru it.\nNo steel jacketed\, steel shot\, or steel core bullets permitted.\nNo tracer\, incendiary\, armor piercing\, gas or explosive ammunition is permitted.\n**Everyone must be present for the safety brief which will take place 15 minutes prior to the timing round.\nNote for those who have competed in an Eagle Eye before who are not familiar with the changes made for the Red Dot competition:\nGeneral course of fire may be altered.\nRed dot optics are PERMITTED.\nCompetitors who wish to compete without a red dot may do so. DESCRIPTION:Falling steel match using rules similar to Steel Challenge. 2 Stages with a shoot-off component. This match is for rimfire and centerfire guns compatible with the indoor range (no magnums or suppressors) with any sighting systems except lasers\, no holsters needed\, all starts are from the low ready.\nNote the new rimfire revolver divisions this season\, both optic and iron sights.  A new way to challenge yourself against the steel!\nMinimum round count 60 plus a shoot-off component\, suggest bringing at least 150 rounds and at least five magazines that hold at least 10 rounds each. Gun cases are mandatory along with chamber flags for semi-auto rimfire guns. New shooters are always welcome\, show up 30 minutes early for match instructions and orientation.\nSecond and third gun/different division allowed on or after October 2 if open slots remain. You must be able to select the same squad for all guns. $10 second gun\, $5 third gun.\nThose new to this match\, Preteens and Juniors shoot for free!
