SUMMARY:TSSA - Tactical Athlete Training (TAT)
DESCRIPTION:Match Name: TSSA: TAT Series (Tactical Athlete Training) - Ruskin\, FL\nPlatform: TSSA (Tactical Shooting Sports Association)\nEvent Type: Training Series\nTRAIN. PRACTICE. EVOLVE.\n**GET EXTRA TRAINING IN BEFORE THE PATRIOT GAMES MIAMI MATCH ON JAN 31 2026**\n1.0 Operational Overview\nTAT matches are competitive training environments designed to test yourself and your gear.\nWhile these matches provide a learning atmosphere\, they deliver a highly dynamic workout and range experience unlike any other. This is your opportunity for loadout validation—shaking down your kit and refining movement efficiency under physical stress without the pressure of a major competition. The focus is on personal benchmarking: you vs. the work.\nStage Design: Competitors will engage mock stages that mimic popular tier-one matches such as The Tactical Games and The Patriot Games.\nThe "Real Deal" Prep: Participants will be able to test run official RLS (Run | Lift | Shoot) Classifier Stages\, providing a standardized metric to gauge readiness for upcoming ranked Series matches.\nActive Feedback: Unlike major matches where coaching is prohibited during a run\, TAT matches allow for instructor intervention and post-run feedback to correct technical deficiencies immediately. Instructors are on standby to provide feedback if requested\, ensuring a self-paced environment for those who prefer to train without interruption.\n2.0 Division & Gear Guidelines\nAttendees should register under the division that matches the kit they intend to test. This ensures you are grouped with athletes of similar loadouts for pacing.\nTactical (Vested)\nTactical Elite: Full Kit (Plate Carrier) + Heavy Physical Load\nTactical Intermediate: Full Kit (Plate Carrier) + Standard Physical Load\nTactical Beginner: Full Kit (Plate Carrier) + Reduced Physical Load\nSlick (Belt Only/No PC) *Chest Rigs Allowed*\nSlick Elite: Belt Only + Heavy Physical Load\nSlick Intermediate: Belt Only + Standard Physical Load\nSlick Beginner: Belt Only + Reduced Physical Load\nRuck (Highly Recommended): If you own a ruck\, bring it. If time permits\, you may have the opportunity to get extra reps on specific drills or classifiers.\nFITNESS SAFETY: We will be pushing physical limits. Please hydrate the night before. If you are new to training in a plate carrier\, let the instructors know during the brief so we can scale the volume appropriately. Bring extra hydration and snacks; water and a covered pavilion with fans will be provided.\nMEDIA COVERAGE: A complimentary photo package is included for all attendees. SUMMARY:EHPSA SCSA September 2026
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the East Huntingdon Sportsmen’s Association Level 1 Steel Challenge Monthly Match!\n******************************************\nMatch Schedule:\n9 AM Match\nWalk-On Registration: Opens at 8:00 AM and closes at 8:30 AM at the club house.\nMandatory Shooters Meeting: 8:45 AM.\nHammer Down: Match begins promptly at 9 AM.\n******************************************\nFees:\n$20 for the first gun\n$10 for each additional gun\n$5 for all junior shooters per gun\nOur match is a six stage "Speed Six" match - No Outer Limits or Speed Option\nPlanning to shoot in more than one division? Be sure to create a separate entry for each gun.\nWalk-ons are welcome IF open slots are available. However\, Practiscore pre-registration and squad selection is appreciated and preferred.\n******************************************\nWhat to Bring:\nA minimum of 150 rounds per gun/division (We recommend extra to cover misses)\n5 magazines per gun\, especially if using low-capacity mags (e.g.\, 10-round)\nEye and hearing protection for all shooters and spectators.\n******************************************\nMatch Location:\nBays 1 through 6\n******************************************\nCOLD RANGE Rule – Safety First!\nAll firearms must remain UNLOADED unless you're on the firing line under Range Officer supervision.\nKeep firearms secured in a holster\, bag or cart.\nFor rimfire rifles and PCC\, ensure the bolt is closed on a chamber flag.\nSafe Area: Safe tables are located in each bay\, marked in red.\nImportant: If you're unfamiliar with the COLD RANGE rule\, leave your firearms in your vehicle and check in at registration.\nWe're here to help!\nIf an individual is thought to be in violation of the COLD RANGE rule\, a match official will escort the individual to a safe area and direct the individual to unload and show clear. If the firearm is found to be loaded\, the individual will be disqualified from the match and asked to leave the range.\nPlease leave your concealed carry gun in your vehicle. If you are a law enforcement officer\, duly authorized to carry a loaded firearm\, we ask that you proceed immediately to the registration table and ask for a match official for the express purpose of safely unloading the firearm to avoid disqualification.\n******************************************\nNew shooters\nPlease arrive no later than registration opening time for the match and let us know at the registration table if you're a new shooter. This will allow us to have a new shooter meeting without delaying the start of the match.\nConsider bringing more than 200 rounds for each gun/division per match. It typically takes 150 rounds per gun with no misses to complete 6 stages. All stages consist of 5 strings of fire on 5 targets. If shooting with a low-capacity magazine (example 10 rounds)\, it is important to have at least 5 magazines per gun to help avoid match delays caused by having to reload magazines while in the shooter’s box.\n******************************************\nNew Shooters Checklist:\nArrive when registration opens (8:00 AM).\nBring extra ammo (more than 200 rounds recommended).\nPay special attention to the COLD RANGE rules.\nFamiliarize yourself with Steel Challenge rules: https://scsa.org/rules\nConsider joining USPSA: https://uspsa.org/join\n******************************************\nCopy and Paste the links below into your browser:\nSteel Challenge rules: https://scsa.org/rules\nUSPSA membership: https://uspsa.org/join\nStage Layout: https://photos.app.goo.gl/cDUwFrz1aQjxaFRm8\n******************************************\nMatch Location:\nEast Huntingdon Sportsmen's Club\n286 Sportsman Rd\nAlverton PA 15612\nIf you have any questions or concerns\, please email us at: ralloway@gmail.com\nWe look forward to seeing you on the range!\nPlease feel free to contact us with any questions.\nThank you!
