SUMMARY:No Man's Land Shootout - May - Run N Gun
DESCRIPTION:Picture this - You're a pony express rider who's had his horse shot out from under him. Between bands of outlaws\, Comanche raiding parties\, rouge buffalo hunters\, and scavenged intelligence in need of deciphering\, you have to make your way back to society\, but it won't be easy.\nThanks to the inspiration of some of our friends east of us in Oklahoma\, this will be our homage to the shooting discipline they love so much - a Run N Gun! This event will be a centerfire rifle and centerfire pistol event. All magazines\, ammo\, tools\, and water must be carried on person; however you wish to do so\, from start to finish. Our goal is to BE SAFE and have fun! We're shooting\, no cancelations\, in any condition short of a blizzard\, tornado\, lighting\, dust storm\, or a torrential downpour.\nRound count will be finalized closer to the date of the match and emailed to all shooters\, but the event will likely consist of 4 stages across ~3 miles.\nIf the shooter forgets an items or has to return to their vehicle\, the shooter may restart the event\, but your total time will continue to run. The stages must be reshot with the worse of the two score being kept. A rigorous system of checks will be utilized to ensure all firearms are unloaded while not under the direct supervision of a range officer. If a firearm is found to be loaded when not explicitly allowed\, the shooter will immediately be disqualified. Once shooters arrive at a stage\, an RO will check their rifle to ensure an unloaded firearm. If there is another shooter currently completing the stage\, the shooter will need to keep track of their wait time before they start the stage. This is so time outside of their control is not penalizing their run time. Squadding is not required for this match format as each runner will have their own individual run time assigned to them upon check in.\nDivisions:\nVeteran - Will be mostly running the course\, attempting obstacles and fitness challenges\, and giving the event their best!\nSunday Stroll - Running / walking the course\, no obstacles or fitness challenges\, want to be a part of it but don't want to sweat too hard.\nScoring:\nScoring will be time plus (points) as broken down below\n- Veteran -\n50% shooting\n25% obstacles and fitness\n25% run time\n- Sunday Stroll -\n50% shooting\n50% run time\nScoring example:\n- 800 points possible\n- 4 stages at 100 points each for 400 points\, or 50% of the total score\n- 5 obstacles / fitness challenges at 40 points each for a total of 200 points\, or 25% of the total score\n- run time at 200 points\, or 25% of the total score\nEye and ear pro REQUIRED\nM855\, "green tip"\, any other amour-piercing round\, and tracers are explicitly NOT ALLOWED\nLOCATION:\nEW 10 and NS 133 - North into at the dead section line. SUMMARY:CPS Tactical 2 Gun May 2026
DESCRIPTION:Tactical 2 Gun (T2G) is a Multigun match that uses Time Plus scoring to test shooting\, firearm handling\, tactics\, and gear. These matches emphasize the “practical” in practical shooting sports. While “race” gear is welcome\, these matches are designed around and encourage the wearing of full kit. Stages focus on plausible\, real-world tactical scenarios. Penalties are stiff\, so striking the balance between accuracy and speed is essential.\nNew shooters should read through the Tactical 2 Gun (T2G) rulebook linked below prior to match day: \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n\nTypical round count is 150 primary\, 75 secondary. However\, due to the nature of T2G match rules\, round counts can vary wildly. We strongly suggest bringing double the typical round count.\nSetup begins at 8:30AM. Please arrive at that time and help us build stages. Safety briefing begins immediately after setup.\n==============================\nWhile T2G matches are open to the public\, they are NOT suitable for net new shooters. The manipulations required and stage scenarios simulated make these matches best suited to experienced competitors. If you're unsure of your qualifications\, contact match admins linked in the above rulebook. Observers are always welcomed.\nEvent Requirements:\n• ALL Attendees – Registration is now required for CPS events at the provided registration link. Everyone must attend the safety brief. No exceptions.\n• If you just want to observe the event\, simply show up and sign the Liability Waiver in the CPS Office. If you have any questions\, please contact the Match Director.\nOther Info:\n• Gate Code - Gate event code is emailed to the registered attendees the night before or morning of the event.\n• Directions – Posted on the COSSA website.
