SUMMARY:FTRPA NRL22 October 2026
DESCRIPTION:Registration opens at 8:00am\nZeroing Period: 8:00AM - 8:45AM\nRegistration closes: ***8:45AM***\nSafety Briefing: ***8:50AM — All shooters must attend***\n*Range Safety Reminder:*\nFirearms to be used on the premises should be properly cased\, unloaded\, and with magazines removed. Firearms must then be uncased at the line\, muzzle pointing down range. All firearms not currently in use must use an Empty Chamber indicator (ECI). If the red light is flashing\, it signals the range is cold and there is no firearm handling.\nPlease remember that eyes and ears are required at all times.\nJoin us for our monthly NRL22 match! This precision shooting competition is designed for .22LR scoped rifles and features steel targets at distances from 25 to 100 yards. Shooters will tackle multiple stages\, using various positions and barricades such as barrels\, ladders\, saw horses\, and buckets. We also include one or two challenge stages designed by match shooters for an extra test of skill. Bring at least 100 rounds and prepare for a fun\, challenging experience that will test your marksmanship and strategy. Whether you're a seasoned competitive shooter or a newcomer to precision rifle matches\, this is a great opportunity to improve your skills and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow shooting enthusiasts.\n2026 Update: As long as you're within the first 80 shooters to register\, you have a space in this match even if the squads show as full. Anyone not pre-squadded are squadded on the day of the shoot. This saves substantial time at the close of registration and shortens pre-match announcements when we can be flexible for squadding on match day.\nExisting squad spaces tend to open up the closer we get to the match and we simply increase the squad size on the day of the match to accommodate anyone still unsquadded. Balanced squads are the best way to keep the match moving quickly so you can spend more time shooting and less time waiting. \nHomepage

I have seen it happen only once in the last 10 years\, but it’s part of shooting on a Military Range\, and must be stated.
