No floppy Uncle Mike style holsters.\nAbsolutely NO handling of weapons unless you’re at a designated SAFE TABLE or under direct control of a safety officer during a course of fire. DESCRIPTION:This will be a standard pistol match. Cost is $20 which must be paid online when you register for the match.\nWithdrawls from the match must be made by 12:00 noon on the day of the match in order to be eligible a refund. All refunds will  be subject to a $5 fee. There will be no refunds for withdrawls after 12 noon on the day of the match.\nSet up begins at 6:00 pm. First shots begin at 6:30pm. Last shots are at 8:45pm to allow us to depart by 9:00 pm. Registration is capped at the first 20 shooters to register\, not including match administrators.

SUMMARY:Sept 10 2026 22 Rimfire Falling Steel Match at SharpShooters Indoor Range
DESCRIPTION:22LR Falling Steel Match at Sharpshooters Indoor Range (Cold Range\, make sure all firearms are completely empty before coming in the store).\nA head-to-head match where 2 shooters compete to knock down five 6"x 8" steel plates from their respective sides\, using only 22LR Rifles or Pistols\, 10 rounds max. They are usually conducted as a double-elimination match with one-time buy-ins for $5 up to the 3rd round. New shooters will shoot at least 3 times. If there are fewer than 16 entries\, we may go to triple elimination with no buy-ins. Pairing is randomized as much as possible\, but repeat pairings will occur. There are 2 separate divisions\, Rimfire Rifle and Rimfire Pistol (any sighting system). A free match pass is presented to each division winner. Sponsored shooters are not eligible. All scores will be posted on the Upstate Sport Shooting Group FB page. Minimum Equipment: Rifle must have a safety flag\, 2 mags loaded to 10\, eye and ear protection. Pistol in a safely secured container (Holster\, Range Tray\, Range Bag\, or zippered gun rug)\, 2 mags loaded to 10\, eye and ear protection.\nYou may sign up for 2 divisions. There will be a $5 fee for a second division.\nIf the shooters tie in their round\, they will be loaded up with another 10 rds to break the tie. If all plates are knocked down in a tie\, 2 plates will be set up for each shooter to resolve the tie. Just like previous years\, you'll sign the workers sheet at the Pistol shed\, and the more you help out\, the greater chance you have of winning.\nWe start set up at 4pm\, and shoot at 6pm.\nAs always\, beers at the clubhouse afterwards\nPCC Gun Handling\n• PCC can be transported from bay to bay in a case\, or carts and flagged. If in a cart the muzzle is reasonably vertical (pointing down)\, and a chamber flag is in place. A flagged carbine is treated the same as a holstered pistol\, except for sweeping rules.\n• Uncasing the carbine may be done in a safe area\, or against a side berm or backstop.\n• When a competitor is called to the line to shoot\, they may carry an empty\, with chamber flag\, PCC muzzle up or muzzle down\, or the PCC may be cased.\n• After "Hammer down and Flag"\, with an empty with chamber flag PCC\, the competitor can immediately re-case the PCC or carry the PCC as stated above. The PCC can then be carried to a side berm staging area well behind the firing line and placed back in a case or on a cart.
