SUMMARY:Hyatt Presents - NC-ALPHAS-4 (NOT COWBOY)
DESCRIPTION:Match starts: May 17\, 2026 @ 12:00 PM · Match ends: May 17\, 2026 @ 4:00 PM\nLocation:\n13770 NC-742 S\nPolkton\, North Carolina 28135\nSchedule of events:\nMatch sign-in ends at 11:30 am\nMatch safety brief - 11:30 am\nMatch start - 12:00 pm\nMatch Fee - $20 for members / $30 for non-members\nWhen you arrive at our range\, head to the Pro Shop and sign in\, and pay for the match. Then head down to the competition bays to be present for the safety briefing.\nAll participants are expected to assist with match teardown\n***A RIFLE SLING AND AN L2 RETENTION HOLSTER ARE REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE ***\nThis is a close-quarters style shooting competition utilizing handguns\, rifles\, and shotguns. All engagements are presented at CQB distances. Rifle targets can be a mixture of steel and cardboard depending on distance. Pistol targets are Cardboard and static steel targets. Shotgun targets are steel knock-downs without springs. Pistol and rifle targets are of realistic size (~16” x 24”). Shotgun targets must be knocked down. Misses may be made up and there is no penalty for extra rounds placed on targets. Round Counts per stage can be between 10-20 Pistol\, 15-30 rifle\, and 5-7 shotgun. If you don't have or want to use a shotgun\, you may engage the shotgun targets with pistol.\nThis sport provides for a vast number of different firearm options to engage the courses of fire. A course of fire (stage) will present a shooting problem that might have several creative solutions that require the employment of handgun\, rifle\, and shotgun.\nCategories are based around the gear and equipment selected not weapons or competitor experience/shooting skill. This eliminates the need for “qualifier” stages and the possibility of “sand-bagging” for competitive advantage. This was chosen under the philosophy that all competitors can\, and should\, hone their skills to be faster and more precise combat shooters regardless of their skill level.\nThis is a close quarters style shooting sport. As such\, it is not meant to be a foot race or acrobatics contest. Movement\, shooting on the move\, and shooting positions are of tactical importance but in a close-quarters environment\, 25-yard sprints are not common occurrences and competitors are required to be rolling around in the mud. Short distances between shooting positions and negotiating obstacles/barriers while working a shooting problem are the goals. Nothing is intended to be of an extreme nature.\nFor more information\, please see the ALPHAS CQTAS Website: https://cqtas.net/\nIf you have any questions\, please call us (704) 826-6014 or email matchdirector@hyattshootingcomplex.com

If you encounter a scenario where Bluetooth sync does not report the proper time (e.g. non-shooting noise picked up by the timer at the end of the string)\, an exception will be made as long as you notify a SUPS match director noting the stages/shooters affected. Failure to follow this procedure will result in a DNF for all shooters/stages without Bluetooth sync.\nWhen reviewing your stage scores\, please ensure that Bluetooth sync data was captured for your strings on the review screen. The tablet RO should always use the Bluetooth sync button (clock icon on the scoring string) to capture time on all strings. Per the rulebook\, if the timer did not pick up the last shot\, a mandatory reshoot of the string is required.

SUMMARY:SVSS May 17 2026 Steel Challenge
DESCRIPTION:Steel shooting is a sport in which competitors are required to combine speed and accuracy to successfully complete the match. SVSS uses all 8 of the official steel challenge stages. All the stages are 5 strings of 5 shots each\, exept "Outer Limits" which is four strings\, requiring the shooter to engage steel targets from 7 to 35 yards. The targets vary in size from 10"\, to 12" round targets and 18" x 24" rectangles. Sometimes a couple of stages are replaced with " outlaw" stages. There is no power factor like in USPSA\, IDPA\, and ICORE matches\, and the targets do not fall. You only need to hit the target.\nSCSA Steel Challenge is the only USPSA type action shooting discipline that allows .22 rimfire rifles and pistols.\nTwo guns per shooter allowed.\nNew Let's Go Brandon anti inflation rate\,\nFirst gun $25.00 second gun $15.00\nYear round\, Weather permitting..
