DESCRIPTION:NOTICE:  SIG P320 pistols are once again allowed at Action Pistol Matches (and all other applicable matches) at WRPC.  This comes from the club’s Safety Committee based on discussion of available information as of February 21\, 2026.\nNOTICE:  Required starting condition for CZ Shadow\, 75 and similar pistols will be with the hammer resting on a safety notch (manuf. recommended).  Start will not be allowed with the hammer fully forward as it would not be in a safety notch.\nAction Pistol.  Mix of IDPA and USPSA targets with points down scoring and relaxed rules on cover\, concealment\, reloads\, target engagement order.  No compromises on safety!  Penalties will be called according to the latest IDPA Rule Book.  As of this writing that’s the 2026 version.  Hearing protection and safety glasses with side shields or wrap around design required.\nMatch is weather dependent.  If there is a weather cancellation\, you will be notified by e-mail no later than 7:00 PM the day before the match.  This will allow us to check the hourly forecast out until noon the day of the match.

DESCRIPTION:NRL22 matches will be held at the OKCGC Small Bore range on the 4th Saturday of the month. Enter at the Cowboy action gate off Hiawassee and follow the road back to the left towards 5 stand. Sign in starting at 8:15am and match start at 9am. The GPS coords to the gate are (35.71888\,-97.30080)\nDetails:\nThe NRL22 monthly course of fire are all intended to be fun and affordable Precision Rifle matches. We will be shooting the five (5) stages provided monthly by NRL22 plus two (2) bonus stages for a total of 7 stages. Each hit during the stage will be one point. All NRL22 rules will apply. All stages are par time.  The par time for all stages this month is 120 seconds. A 50 yard sight in target will be available.\nThere are 6 classes in total. Open\, Base\, Air Rifle\, Ladies\, and Young Guns (8-16)\, and OG (60+)/Adaptive. Open and Base must utilize rifles chambered in .22 Long Rifle. The Open class is unlimited in the rifle and optic they use. The Base class is for the budget minded shooter. This class is for rifles with scopes in which the combined MSRP of both cost $1300 or less. This cartridge is the most common and available rimfire cartridge. Any .22 Long Rifle chambered rifle may be used\, however\, rifles with removable magazines must be used. Rifles with fixed tubular magazines are not allowed as they are more difficult to make safe.\n3.	Any scope\, iron sights\, or electronic sights may be used. However\, magnified rifle scopes with externally adjustable turrets and reticles designed to assist in holdover and measurement are highly recommended.\n4. If you’re unsure\, just bring what you have and we’ll get you sorted at check-in. If you’re a new shooter\, please arrive close to 9:30\, leave your guns in the car\, and come talk to us at registration about range safety rules.\n###\n# Fees\n###\nMatch fees are $15 for ORSA members\, $20 for public\, and $5 for juniors. We can only accept cash.\n###\n# Safety rules\n###\nHandguns may be carried unloaded and holstered (as in most other sports). DESCRIPTION:NOT A SASS sanctioned match but in the spirit of;\nCowboy Action Shooting Event on the 75-yard range.\nCowboy Action Shooting (CAS) is a sport where competitors fire cowboy era rifles\, pistols and shotguns at metal targets.\nFor this season\, CAS will be held every 4th  Saturday of the month from March to October\, weather permitting.\nMembers and guests sign-up is on the day of the shoot at the range. Members pay $5.00 and guest pay $10.00.\nShooting will start at 10:00 with  assisting with the set-up at 9:00 am. and a safety meeting at 9:45\nThe Cowboy Action event is an interactive sport where shooters help with scoring\, spotting\, and timing when they are not shooting. Additionally\, help is needed to tare down. The event coordinator would appreciate shooters arriving by 9:30 shooting starts at 10am.\nYou will need two single action revolvers with a holster. A lever action rifle chambered in a pistol caliber\, 38 Special\, 357 Magnum\, 45 Auto or Long Colt cartridge\, etc… and a tubular magazine for loading 8 to 10 rounds. Additionally\, a western style double-barrel shotgun is needed. Alternatively\, a Winchester Model 1897 can be used.\nYou will also need to wear Jeans\, a long sleeve western shirt\, cowboy boots or equivalent\, and a cowboy hat. Safety glasses and hearing protection are mandatory.\nIf you’re missing one of the above firearms\, we will try to connect you with a shooter that will lend you what you need when it’s your turn to shoot.\nA gun cart is handy but new shooters might ask someone with a cart to share. We will also have a table near the loading bench so you can store your firearms there.\nWe recommend 2 boxes of pistol caliber ammo for your revolver and rifle.\,  LEAD BULLETS ONLY\, and 1 box of shotgun shells (25 rounds) low brass\, light loads\, with no larger than #7 1/2 shot.
