DESCRIPTION:22LR Falling Steel Match at Sharpshooters Indoor Range (Cold Range\, make sure all firearms are completely empty before coming in the store).\nA head-to-head match where 2 shooters compete to knock down five 6"x 8" steel plates from their respective sides\, using only 22LR Rifles or Pistols\, 10 rounds max. They are usually conducted as a double-elimination match with one-time buy-ins for $5 up to the 3rd round. New shooters will shoot at least 3 times. If there are fewer than 16 entries\, we may go to triple elimination with no buy-ins. Pairing is randomized as much as possible\, but repeat pairings will occur. There are 2 separate divisions\, Rimfire Rifle and Rimfire Pistol (any sighting system). A free match pass is presented to each division winner. Sponsored shooters are not eligible. All scores will be posted on the Upstate Sport Shooting Group FB page. Minimum Equipment: Rifle must have a safety flag\, 2 mags loaded to 10\, eye and ear protection. Pistol in a safely secured container (Holster\, Range Tray\, Range Bag\, or zippered gun rug)\, 2 mags loaded to 10\, eye and ear protection.\nYou may sign up for 2 divisions. There will be a $5 fee for a second division.\nIf the shooters tie in their round\, they will be loaded up with another 10 rds to break the tie. If all plates are knocked down in a tie\, 2 plates will be set up for each shooter to resolve the tie. DESCRIPTION:For this match we want to give shooters an opportunity to test their precision shooting skills with modern semi-auto rifle platforms in a format that can be shot on a weekday evening.\nThere are two squads each with a different start time.\nSquad 1: 4 pm to 5 pm\nSquad 2: 5 pm to 6 pm\nThe match will have two stages with multiple shooting positions. Targets will be around 500 or 400 yards and generally 2 MOA to 4 MOA\nScoring will be points\, and time from both stages as tie breaker.\nPlease arrive by the start time of your squad. Thank you.\nStages.\n        Unless the stage description states otherwise\, stages will have a 90 second par time\, a 20 round limit and targets do NOT need to be hit to move on but once you move on that target is a miss you must declare you are moving on. If a target is engaged out of sequence then the shooter may engage the missed target and continue the sequence in the correct order.\nStages will have at least 2 distinct shooting positions\, and between 8 and 12 required hits.\nDivisions\n  Open\n     Cartridge\n        Any intermediate cartridge that will operate in a standard AR-15 sized platform. There is no heavy metal division\, so no 308 or larger based cartridges are allowed.\nScoring.\n  Targets hit and time from both stages as tie breaker.\n  Time will be last shot fired even if the shooters reaches par time before finishing the course of fire.\nShooter categories\n        Shooter categories are on the honor system and really about the limits you want to place on yourself.\n  Expert - You shoot other precision rifle matches regularly and are usually above 75%\nNo coaching of any kind during the stage. Only hits will be called.\n  Experienced - You shoot other precision rifle matches or matches requiring some precision rifle shots regularly.\nShould be very little coaching during the stage. If they are struggling though\, give them a break and throw them a correction call or two.\n  Beginner - You have only ever shot a handful of precision rifle matches or matches requiring some precision shots.\n    Coaching is encouraged.\nNew Shooter - You have never shot a match requiring precision rifle shots.\n    Coaching is encouraged.\nOn site directions\nThe PRGC Accurized Gas Gun Match is held on the 500 yard line. To get to the 500 yard line you will make an immediate left after passing through the gate\, this will take you directly into the west parking area. You will see a covered area on top of a short hill\, that is the firing line. We do not host classifiers\, and typically shoot 3-5 stages with a round count of 120 rounds total for the match. Bring 150-200 rounds to be safe.\nThe match fee is $15.99 plus tax. DESCRIPTION:Introduction to Steel Challenge at Mill Creek Rifle Club\, De Soto\, KS.  4 stages in the evening.  If you want to shoot 2 guns feel free to sign them both up.  $10 match fee for adults.  $5 each for a second gun if room allows.  Pre-teens and Juniors 13-17 $5 match fee for first gun.  Payment for now will be accepted at the range beginning at 5:00pm on match day .  New competitor orientation at 5:30pm.  Shooters meetings at 5:45pm.  Match begins at 6:00pm.  We will try to keep squads together but it may be necessary to move shooters to make sure there are RO's available on each squad. New shooters need to volunteer to learn how to run the tablet and or timer and everyone not on deck\, shooting\, or loading magazines needs to be helping paint. If everyone helps we should be able to finish a stage in approx 30 min to be able to finish in a timely manner.

These sessions are designed for skill development and generally are not scored\, encouraging personalized improvement without the pressure of competition.\nTo ensure safety and maintain the standard of competition\, guests must have a valid USPSA classification or a proven track record on Practiscore.com of participation in practical shooting matches (USPSA\, IDPA\, IPSC\, etc.).\nThe match fee is $5\, which helps NSPS cover essential costs such as targets and pasters. Please note that the range\, Northshore Sports Club\, also charges a $40 range fee\, payable in addition to the NSPS match fee. NSPS match fees are NOT REFUNDABLE unless the match is cancelled.\nFor safety reasons\, NSPS allows ONLY outside-the-waistband (OWB) holsters.\nGuest signups are subject to approval.
