SUMMARY:Belton Gun Club August First Sunday AM Steel Challenge Match 8-2-26 10 AM Start
DESCRIPTION:SUNDAY AM Steel Challenge Match 15 minutes south of Greenville....\n****** Important Notice******\nIn the interest of safety for all members\, guests\, and visitors\, Belton Gun Club is implementing a temporary ban on all SIG Sauer P320-based pistols being brought onto or used on club property.\nThis decision has been made out of an abundance of caution following a series of recent incidents and un-commanded discharges involving the P320 platform. In light of these events\, several government agencies and private facilities have also adopted similar temporary restrictions on the use of these firearms while further testing and evaluations are conducted.\nEffective immediately\, all P320-based pistols are prohibited at Belton Gun Club until further notice. This includes all variants and modified versions of the P320 platform.\nPlease note: This restriction applies only to the P320 and its variants. All other SIG Sauer pistols and rifles are unaffected by this ban and remain welcome on club property.\nIf you show up to the match with a Sig P320 or one of it's variants you will be asked to replace it or you will be withdrawn from the match.\n10am Start. Steel Challenge Shooting Association sanctioned Steel Challenge match at Belton Gun Club! Six official stages\, 145 rounds minimum to complete the match. All 13 official Steel Challenge divisions are welcome! (Centerfire pistol\, PCC\, 22 rimfire pistol and rifle)\n Match fee is $20 for first firearm\, $5 for optional 2nd firearm which must be in a different equipment division. $5 discount for BGC members\, Super Seniors and Distinguished Seniors on first firearm\nJuniors and full time student match fees are 10$ for first firearm and 5$ for second.\nCash payment at registration on match day\, exact change really helps.\nRegistration using Practiscore is highly encouraged. Go to https://practiscore.com and sign up for a free account\, and then search for Belton Gun Club under Clubs or Matches. We also accept walk-up registrations the morning of the match (if slots are available)\, but Practiscore registration is preferred.\nYou may compete in a maximum of 2 divisions at this match. If you choose to compete with more than one firearm\, they must be registered in different divisions and be registered separately.\nRegistration at the range starts at the registration table at the Competition bays (follow the signs for Steel Challenge when you come on the property) by 9am and ends at 950am. Shooting begins promptly at 10am.\nCash payment is accepted during registration the morning of the match. We do not accept credit cards\, Venmo or Paypal! Please try to bring exact change.\nThe Competition bays are located on the road to the left before entering the main gate at the clubhouse. The parking area is on the high ground above the bays.\nAll firearms shall be EMPTY at ALL TIMES! All rifles (.22 Rimfire Rifles & PCCs) must employ a chamber flag! This is an official Steel Challenge rule and is NON-NEGOTIABLE. Chamber flags are not used for .22 Rimfire Pistols or for centerfire pistols. Holsters are required for centerfire pistol divisions.\nThe official Steel Challenge rulebook (https://uspsa.org/viewer/SCSA_Rule_Book.pdf) is recommended reading for anyone unfamiliar with Steel Challenge\, particular emphasis being placed on Chapters 1\, 4\, 5\, and 8. They are no more than a few pages long each and cover essential safety rules and range procedures. Do not get yourself disqualified because you didn't understand the safety rules! The appendices cover division rules\, so your equipment questions can be answered there\, as well as in Chapter 3 for more general guidelines.\nRulebook: https://uspsa.org/viewer/SCSA_Rule_Book.pdf\nPLEASE NOTE: EYE PROTECTION IS REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES WHILE ON BELTON GUN CLUB PROPERTY!!!\nAny further questions can be directed to match director at bgcsteelchallenge@gmail.com.

Overall\, you'll use most of the common field positions. You will be timed\, and your score will be "time taken".\nShooters will be put into small groups who will stay together throughout. They will take turns shooting\, scoring\, and painting targets. Each group will start on a different lane\, and the groups will move from lane-to-lane round-robin style until all groups have completed all lanes. (The course has been set up so that all lanes can be active at the same time.)\nEquipment & Personal Kit\nRifles: 22LR rifle with 22LR standard velocity ammo OR air rifle in 17\, 22\, or 25 caliber.\nAmmo: The course of fire requires a minimum of about 100 rounds\, but you must hit every target twice\, so bring lots! For air rifles\, if you have an auxiliary air tank\, bring it.\nClasses: There will be three classes: 22LR rifle semi-auto\, manually operated 22LR and air rifle.\nBinoculars: Adequate for spotting shots when you are the scorer.\nWriting and Note-Taking Materials: Adequate for filling out scorecards.\nElectronic hearing protection and safety glasses are required.\nPersonal Supplies: The match is conducted on bush trails\, with uneven terrain. You'll need good footwear\, long pants\, and a long-sleeved shirt. Clothing needs to be loose-fitting so you can adopt the required shooting positions. You'll need protection from sun and biting insects. Bring your own lunch and plenty of water plus some electrolyte beverage. There'll be some walking involved\, so you'll want a backpack or something similar. Check the weather forecast for the day - we'll plan to conduct the practice no matter the weather\, so be prepared.\nAdministration\nWe'll start at "The Thou"\, where you will park. Plan to be there at 0930 for check-in\, zero confirmation\, safety briefing\, and group assignment. You must be present for safety briefing\, or you will not be allowed to shoot. We plan to be shooting by 1000 hours. NOTE: There may be other groups using our other ranges... they should be well clear by the time you arrive\, but be sure to follow the signs (not other travelers) on the road.\n$50.00 for non-members. $25.00 off for OSA members and OSA affiliate members. If you're under 18\, register as a junior.\nWaivers: You will be required to sign a liability waiver as part of registering for the event on PractiScore. You are required to belong to an organization that covers you with liability insurance (such as the CSSA\, CCFR\, NFA\, or similar).\nYou must be fluent in English to participate in any OSA event.\nNote that we no longer allow photographs to be taken on MilCun property.

SUMMARY:Iowa Precision Rifle Match (IPRM) - Aug 2026
DESCRIPTION:Iowa Precision Rifle Match (IPRM) is an Entry level PRS style match. This series is designed to help shooters get started in PRS with a low competition level\, low gear requirements\, and coaching along the way. If you want to shoot your first PRS style match this is the place for you.\nMatch Format\nThese matches will have 6 to 8 stages. Each stage you will have a designated course of fire set by the match director and have 8 to 10 shots at each. The course of fire will give you defined positions you need to shoot from (prone\, barricade\, tree\, roof top) and which target you need to shoot on the stage (Target #1\, 5 targets in a row\, targets biggest to smallest). The distance to each target will be provided in the course of fire. The stage could have one position and three or four different targets\, or it might have four positions and one target. At each stage you will have time before shooting to find each target\, write out your drop data\, make a preliminary wind call\, and create a stage plan to execute the course of fire. Once it's your turn to shoot you will have 2 min to complete the stage. Any shots after 2 min do not count towards your score.\nScoring\nScores are tracked per shooter. (no teams). You will receive one point for each impact on the correct steel target during each stage.\nSquads\nThe morning of the match we'll divide up into squads and shoot each stage together. Shooters in the squad will take turns shooting in the order provided. Once all the shooters in the squad have shot the squad will move as a group to the next stage. Shooters in each squad will be asked to help "judge" the match. Shooters will need to keep track of the 2 min time limit\, spot for impacts\, and keep score of how many targets are hit. Shooters are encouraged to help the squad with these duties while not shooting to keep the match moving faster.\nSuggested Gear (Rentals available too)\nWe recommend you come to your first match with minimal gear and see what other shooters are using. Don’t spend a ton of money on gear that is not right for this style of shooting. Ask to borrow gear when you don’t have it. Everyone is there to help everyone.\nRifle with a scope that has exposed turrets. (first focal plane recommended)\n80 rounds of ammunition\nConfirmed Ballistic Data for your rifle and ammunition to 600yds (farther is better)\nBipod\nRear Bag\nData holder for stage targets (mounted on rifle or quarterback arm bar)\nPositional bag\nHearing Protection\nClothing appropriate for the weather\nTripod with binoculars or spotting scope (optional)\nSnacks or lunch as food is not typically provided. Water will be available on the range.\nMatch Schedule\n8:15am - Match Registration and Squading opens (Zero Board Opens) (pay $40 match fee at check-in)\n9:00am - Safety Brief (Attendance Required)\n9:15am - Range Hot (Start Shooting)\n3pm(ish) - Match should be over.\nWe don't give out any awards\, trophies\, or prize table for these matches. They are based around new shooters learning rather than who wins. We will tabulate the score when everyone if done shooting and announce the winners of the match.\nSeries Director\nTed Hoeger\nAccuracyDynamics@gmail.com\n515-669-2325
