DESCRIPTION:2 Gun on the 4th Saturday in Parma.  Plan on 4-5 stages with about 10-12 rounds per gun per stage.  Setup at 0800\, be on time to help setup and stay around to tear down.\nIgnore shotgun portion for 2 gun.\nScoped Tactical—Rifle has one magnified optic on it.  Can have a muzzle brake\, can use extended mags and drum mags\, can have only one optic on it\, back up irons ok.  Pistol can use extended mags up to 140mm\, cannot have muzzle break or optics.  Shotgun must start stage with 8+1 rounds\, after start can hold more.  No box fed shotguns and no optics or muzzle brakes.\nLimited—all Guns same as Scoped Tactical\, except rifle may only have a 1x red dot or iron sights.\nOpen—Race division.  All the guns can have optics\, muzzle brakes\, extended mags\, mag fed shotguns\, rifles can use bipods and or bags. Bags must start attached to the rifle.\n2x4—super open.  Adds a 4th gun\, the PCC. Same rules as open\, can use optics\, extended mags\, etc\, etc\,  Must use at least 2 guns on every stages\, if there are clays they must be shot with shotgun.\nModern Optics-Designed to land between Open and Scope Tac.  Pistol: Holster rules are the same as for Tactical/Limited/HM (i.e. no race holsters). Use whatever pistol you want\, so long as the pistol with your longest magazine inserted fits in the official box with slide parallel to the top of the box. The maximum internal dimensions of this box are 9” x 7” x 2”. Rifle: Use whatever rifle and optics you want. A bipod is allowed\, but not bags or other support devices. Only 30 round magazines may be used. Coupled 30 round mags ok. Shotgun: Only a tube magazine is allowed\, and the magazine tube must be no longer than 24”measured from the front of the receiver. Loading must be by hand from caddies (i.e. no speed loaders). Optics are allowed.

DESCRIPTION:The Defensive Practical Rifle Match is a shooting sport that uses practical rifles/carbines and equipment suitable for real world use\, including full charge service ammunition\, to solve simulated real world self-defense scenarios.   While primarily a rifle/carbine event\, pistols also sometimes used in a stage with them.   Rules require practical use of cover.\nSlings are required before and after a stage; may be removed during a stage.  Empty chamber flags required.  Other safety and operational rules in effect.\nStages are limited to not more than 24 rounds\, usually nearer 12.  Typical match is 6 stages.  Scoring is shooter’s time\, plus target points down\, plus penalties.  Distances do not exceed 75 yards\, with average around 25 yards.  Some required shots will require precision.  Others are fired on the move or weak shoulder.  Rifle targets are IDPA cardboard.  Pistol targets\, normally around 10-15 yards\, may be cardboard or reactive steel.\nCompetitors will be sent the day's gate code the evening prior\, through Practiscore. Those not pre-registered/observers will need to text the phone number(s) posted on the 101st St gate pedestal the day of the event for that day's entry code. Bring exact change for match fee.

If you're unsure\, just bring what you have and we'll get you sorted at check-in. If you're a new shooter\, please arrive close to 9:30\, leave your guns in the car\, and come talk to us at registration about range safety rules.\n###\n# Fees\n###\nMatch fees are $15 for ORSA members\, $20 for public\, and $5 for juniors. We can only accept cash.\n###\n# Safety rules\n###\nHandguns may be carried unloaded and holstered (as in most other sports). We will manually approve shooters to squad\, with priority going to local Match Directors\, DSA members\, shooters who actively volunteer for the sport\, and then registration order\, up to an initial limit of 75 shooters.  The next 15 waitlisted shooters will be put on an Overflow Squad\, approved for the match\, but not allowed to squad.   If shooters withdraw from the match\, the corresponding number of shooters will be moved from the Overflow Squad to the vacated slots in Squads 1-5\, and waitlisted shooters moved to fill the empty slots in the Overflow Squad.  If your name is on the Overflow Squad when registration closes\, we will assign you to a squad when you check-in on match day.\nCheck-in for the match opens at 9:00AM in the clubhouse and closes at 9:45AM .. please come on time.\nMatch registration fee payment is cash only ($20).\nNew shooter briefing is at 9:30AM at pistol bay 2 (the center pistol bay).\nMatch briefing is at 9:45AM in front of the pistol bays.
