SUMMARY:SAPS USPSA 9-5-26
DESCRIPTION:Thanks to all those who helped with setting up stages and tearing them down after our last match.\nThis is a purely volunteer sport\, no one is paid to set up or design stages\, or to put away walls\, targets etc. Everyone pays the same amount of money for match fees\, including the match director. That is why we are able to only charge $10.00 per person to shoot S.A.P.S. matches and still cover expenses.\nIf you enjoy shooting our matches we would like to avoid burning out our helpers so please lend a hand. We understand that not everyone is able to lift walls or move steel but helping with stapling paper targets and tearing them down when we finish would be a great help.\nThat will allow us to get set up earlier\, we can begin shooting sooner and we can get off the range quicker.\nBefore heading to the bays\, you need to check-in at the office. $5 fee for members and $10 fee for non-members.

While we have no direct knowledge of the potential technical defect of the weapon system\,the reports\, the volume of ranges\, organizations and military units declaring a problem has made it too visible to deny. We will re-evaluate this decision in the future if new credible information emerges.\n####\n####\nYou can pay with Credit Card at time of registration or pay cash day of match. If paying cash exact change is appreciated. If you are unable to attend match please let Match Director know you will not be attending.\nIf you pay with Credit Card and request a refund upto and including day before match there will be a $5 fee. SUMMARY:2026-09-05 Saturday USPSA at Phoenix Rod and Gun Club
DESCRIPTION:This will be a 5 USPSA stage match with a round count of between 150 and 160.\nIf you want to shoot both matches (Friday night and Saturday morning) then you will have to register in two different divisions per USPSA rule 6.2.4 and 6.2.4.1. Failure to do so may result in zero score for the second match.\n$25 with a $5 discount for verified PRGC members.\nAppendix Carry is ONLY authorized for C Classification or above.\nThe Practical Division is always happy to have new shooters at our USPSA matches but it is important that you be familiar with the rules and procedures before you shoot your first match.\nWe will cover specific rules and answer questions at the new shooter’s briefing before the match but the following general rules will keep you in compliance when you first arrive:\nA. Bring your unloaded gun to the match in a case or bag.\nB. Handle your gun only at one of these two approved times:\n1.	When in the marked safety areas. These areas are where you transfer the gun from your bag or case to your holster at the start of the match\, and where you return it to your bag or case when you are finished with the match.\n2.	When explicitly authorized by the RO when it is your turn to shoot a stage. You are allowed to handle your gun beginning with the “Make Ready “ command and ending with the “Range Is Clear” command.\nC. Do not bring ammunition into the safety areas.\nD. Guns are to be unloaded with no magazines in them at all times except for when you are the shooter and have been given the “Make Ready “ command. After the “Range Is Clear” command you are again subject to the unloaded gun requirement.

Shooters are encouraged to deploy wind flags and vanes between the shooting bench and their targets at this time.

SUMMARY:Righteous Savages Practical Shooting Match
DESCRIPTION:RS Practical V1.0 is a seven-stage practical shooting match built around the skills that matter most when running a practical firearm: speed\, accuracy\, movement\, transitions\, and efficient gun handling.\nThe match will consist of 7 stages incorporating both rifle and handgun\, with courses of fire varying from stage to stage. Expect a mixture of positional shooting\, movement\, target transitions\, reloads\, and practical shooting challenges. Some stages may emphasize one firearm\, while others may require both.\nScoring:\nRS Practical uses the PCSL Hit Factor scoring system\, rewarding competitors who effectively balance speed and accuracy. All stages contribute to the final overall score.\nAmmunition:\nPlan to bring approximately 150 rounds of rifle ammunition and 100 rounds of handgun ammunition. This is a recommended amount and provides a reasonable reserve for make-up shots\, reshoots\, and sighting/zeroing needs. Actual scored round counts will be published with the stage briefs.\nFirearms & Equipment:\nRS Practical uses one practical equipment division. Bring a reliable\, duty/practical-style rifle and handgun configured for real-world use.\nGenerally permitted:\n* Standard duty/defensive-style rifles\n* Standard semi-automatic handguns\n* Red dots and conventional magnified optics\n* Weapon-mounted lights\n* Practical aftermarket triggers\n* Standard/reasonable magwells\n* Practical muzzle devices\n* Standard-capacity magazines where lawful\n* Normal slings and practical shooting equipment\nThe division is intended for practical firearms rather than dedicated race guns. Equipment specifically designed or configured primarily to gain a competition advantage—such as large competition magwells\, compensators/ports on handguns\, race-oriented modifications\, or other specialized competition equipment—is not permitted.\nThe final equipment requirements and prohibited modifications are defined in the RS Practical Equipment Rules.\nWho Can Shoot:\nRS Practical is open to civilians\, law enforcement\, military personnel\, experienced competitors\, and shooters who simply want to become better with their firearms. No competitive shooting background is required.\nWhat to Expect:\nThis is a timed competition\, but it isn’t about having the most expensive gun or the most specialized setup. Bring the gun you’d actually trust\, know your equipment\, and come ready to shoot safely and efficiently.\n$25 Entry • 7 Stages • Rifle + Handgun • One Division • Cash Prize Pool
