DESCRIPTION:NO Concealment garments can be used for 1GUN matches  — NO EXCEPTIONS.\nAPPENDIX HOLSTERS ARE ONLY ALLOWED FOR SHOOTERS THAT HAVE ADVANCED CLASSIFICATIONS ON FILE WITH 1GUN.ORG  — NO EXCEPTIONS.\nALL SHOOTERS MUST BE HOLSTER QUALIFIED PRIOR TO THE MATCH  — NO EXCEPTIONS.\nIf you are NOT holster qualified you need to schedule (by emailing bruce@1gun.org) for the qualification prior to your first match.  This will require you being at the match  1 to 1.5 hours prior to the match.\n1Gun is designed to combine the well liked aspects from the different shooting sports\, with dynamic stages and simpler rules. While we fully understand no game can ever prepare one for a real world defensive situation\, we are just trying to build on basic skills that one should have; by rewarding quick\, accurate shooting with the ability to think on the fly. To do this\, we combined standards\, mission based\, and run-n-gun type stages with a more dynamic experience that requires the shooter to adapt vs replay a rehearsed stage plan.\nBlind coin flips are done during the stage reset\, hidden under a cup\, revealing the threat target color after the starting beep\, produces dynamic stages. By the pure definition of dynamic stages\, we are saying the stage is not the same for each shooter. This is okay\, and is by design. Stages will be designed to be fair\, not exact or symmetrical. In other words\, every effort will be placed on keeping the shooting complexity similar\, regardless of which color threat is drawn. But depending on your strengths and or weaknesses\, the luck of the draw could be the equalizer. But with that said\, we believe that these slight differences balance out by the end of the match and the benefits of creating a more dynamic experience\, far out weighs any little differences.\nWe will be using the 1Gun v1.1 rulebook for this match.  You can find the rulebook on the 1Gun website ( https://1gun.org ).\nSAFETY NOTES:\n1. Eye and ear protection must be worn by everyone (competitors and spectators) while participating or viewing events.\n2. New shooters must be cleared with the Match Director (MD) or other appointed individual as having the basic knowledge of the rules\, and firearm safety.\n3. 1Gun functions on a “Cold Range” basis for safety. (Unloaded firearms may be handled in designated areas only\,  Firearms may only be loaded or unloaded under the direction of Safety Officers (SOs)\,  Violators will be disqualified (DQ) from the match\, no exceptions).\n4. SUMMARY:2026 Magpul Texas 3-Gun Championship
DESCRIPTION:The 2026 Magpul Texas 3-Gun Championship will take place at the beautiful Reveille Peak Ranch in Burnet\, TX. The match will feature 10 stages utilizing the natural terrain of the central Texas hill country. Round count will be between 150 and 200 rounds for each platform…pistol\, rifle\, and birdshot\, with about 10 slugs and about 20 rifle targets past 200 yards.\nLunch will be provided for all shooters on Friday and Saturday\, and BBQ will be served during the awards ceremony on Sunday afternoon. Texas 3-Gun is a half-day format match\, with all squads shooting 4 stages on both Friday and Saturday\, and 2 stages on Sunday. Squads 1-10 will shoot Friday morning and Saturday afternoon\, and squads 11-20 will shoot on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. All squads will shoot 2 stages Sunday morning.\nThe entry fee is $495. You have the option to pay in full at registration\, or pay a $100 deposit. If you choose to pay the deposit only\, the remainder of your match fee is due by Jan 31st\, 2026. If you expect to be a sponsored shooter\, please register using the $100 deposit option. All sponsored shooter slots are required to pay a $100 admin fee.\nSquad selection will open on Feb 1st\, 2026 at 7:00pm. Bring a headlamp.\nMatch Day: Saturday the 11th\n– Morning Squad(s): 10:00 AM start\n– Afternoon Squad(s): 1:30 PM start\nEquipment and Round Count: Your division gun(s)\, 5 mags/speed loaders/moonclips (or bring/make a friend to load if you have less than 5)\, and 125 rounds (bring 200 to be safe).\nImportant: A mandatory safety meeting at Range 2 is 15 minutes before your squad’s start time. Please arrive 30 minutes early to prepare.\nCapacity: Each squad is limited to 12 guns\, for a total of 24 match guns.
