SUMMARY:EWPSA 2026-08 DMR Championship
DESCRIPTION:EWPSA's fourth and final DMR match of the summer\, and our Designated Marksman Rifle championship match. As the championship match it will have a higher round count: we recommend 160-200 rounds of match ammunition.\nA DMR match is a rifle only match emphasizing longer range shooting - for a "designated marksman's rifle". Ranges will be between 100 and 800 yards\, with target sizes of 2+ MOA. This will be somewhat similar to a Gas Gun Show match\, if you are familiar with those. Stages will have par times of around 2 minutes. These run faster than monthly 2-gun matches. If you have a spotting scope\, please bring it to help call hits.\nRegistration opens at 8:30am. The pistol bays gate will be open for you. We'll have a shooter's meeting and new shooter's brief around 8:50am\, and get started shooting around 9:00am.\nThe match is $20 for non-members and $15 for TCSA members\, and setup/teardown staff shoots for free. Setup starts 1.5 hours before the match start time at 7:30am.\nQuestions? Email ewpsa.multigun@gmail.com

DESCRIPTION:Schedule of events:\nMatch sign-in ends at 9:30 am\nMatch safety brief - 9:30 am\nMatch start - 10:00 am\nMatch Fee - $20 for members / $30 for non-members\nA Steel Challenge match requires a minimum of 195 to 200 rounds if all eight official stages are shot without missing any targets. Then head down to the pistol bays to be present for the safety briefing.\nAll participants are expected to assist with match teardown\nWe run a cold range. All of our matches operate as cold range events. This means that all firearms must remain unloaded\, pistols holstered\, and rifles slung or placed in carts with a chamber flag fully inserted INTO THE CHAMBER of the firearm unless under the direct supervision of an RO or safely handled while in a designated safe area or function fire area. Transport of firearms during a match. When moving any firearm from one location to another (such as stage to stage)\, the firearm will be COMPLETELY unloaded. Handguns will be holstered or bagged\, and rifles will be slung\, fully cased\, or carted with a chamber flag or empty chamber indicator (ECI) properly inserted into the chamber of the firearm.\nFood and beverages will be available for purchase after the match at the After Clays Restaurant and Bar. SUMMARY:Flagstaff Action Shooters - Classic Action Pistol (ICORE) - August
DESCRIPTION:An action pistol match open to all but geared towards "classic" handguns. We define classic as revolvers or 1911s\, but we are very inclusive -- this is open to all action pistol shooters.\nMandatory safety briefing at ***9:00 a.m.*** followed by first shots. Sign ups open 30 minutes ahead of time\, but showing up an hour ahead of time to help with set up will be appreciated.\nLocation is here: http://flagstaffactionshooters.org/location\nWe will use the ICORE rule set for its simplicity. Scoring is based on total time (no hit factors). Poor hits or misses simply add time to a shooters score. Compared to a USPSA match\, this scoring focuses more on accuracy than speed with stronger penalties for non-Alpha hits.\nMinimum equipment is a revolver or pistol of .38 Special/9mm or larger\, a holster which holds the firearm securely and covers the trigger guard\, and a belt strong enough to carry the gun (no cloth holsters) and ammunition in a safe manner. All participants and spectators must wear eye and ear protection when shooting is in progress. Generally\, 150 rounds are sufficient to complete all courses of fire\, and about 20-30 on any given stage.\nTo keep every thing even\, all guns will shoot with the same capacity restrictions\, specifically a maximum of 8 rounds in the gun at any given time.\n$15 for FAS members\, $25 for non-members. Membership is $50 per year. Kids shoot free. This is payable at the range\, cash or check. We do NOT use PractiScore membership.

SUMMARY:Colfax Trap August Duck Flurry
DESCRIPTION:Colfax Sportsmen's Club is hosting a Duck Flurry match August 22nd starting at 12PM.\nDuck Flurry is a 2 person competition consisting of 50 clay targets thrown one after another at various angles. The teams of 2 compete together and are scored based on the number of clays broken. Each competitor starts with two shells in their gun and then can load as many as they can while their partner shoots. This is a strategic competition as you don't want to shoot at the same clay as your partner and you don't want to be loading at the same time either. The team with the highest score at the end of the match wins.\nPrice is $12 per team per entry. No limit on how many entries you pay to enter.\nThere is no registration page as it is not required. Show up whenever and remember that the order to shoot is first come\, first served. Please bring guns cased up to the main range and check in at the club house.\nFor more questions please reach out to Lois at (715) 491-4337.

SUMMARY:Twilight MOGO Match @ Clinton House Plantation
DESCRIPTION:Twilight Moons Out Goons Out is our new summer series. This match is 2 gun and will consist of 6 bay style stages.\nShooters brief is at 5pm. White light shooters will be in squads 1-3 and night vision squads 4-6.\nThe match will consist of rifle and pistol engagements within 100 yards with most of the event located in the pistol bays. The shooters can expect a fun\, bay style match with some technical elements that allow you to test your equipment both in low-light as well as dark conditions. We will split NV and WL into groups with WL shooting 1-3 while NV shoots 3-6. After the sun sets\, the squads will then shoot the remaining 3 stages so that everyone in each division shares the same experience. Due to this format\, we can not have hybrid squads. You can plan your round count to be a max of 25 rifle / 25 pistol per stage. \nThis is a unique opportunity that allows conditions not typically used in training or competition events.
