SUMMARY:DPC SHOTGUN MATCH - August 2026
DESCRIPTION:NEW: Look for your ❗GATE CODE❗ in your Practiscore confirmation email.\nYou will need this code to enter the main gate at Dallas Pistol Club.\nCHECK-IN CLOSES AT 8:55 AM THE DAY OF MATCH WITH SHOOTERS MEETING AT 9:15 AM.\nMatch begins at 9.30 AM.\nThis match will typically have 4-5 stages (60-75 rounds required)\, primarily utilizing steel targets shot with birdshot. There may be one stage\, such as a "plate rack" that is primarily speed shooting oriented. Some matches will require a limited use of slug ammo (5 rounds or less). Slugs are always shot at/against cardboard targets for safety. This is a "game" that will provide a challenge for all. Matches are held in the North Action Bays.\nWe require that you use LEAD SHOT (7.5 shot or smaller required). No steel or other "waterfowl" type shot will be permitted\, due to ricochet danger. We recommend that you bring about 100 rounds with you\, depending on your skill level. Some stages will require reloads. Stuffing ammo in a pants pocket will work\, but it is uncomfortable. Vests with loops or big pockets or belt/chest style ammo carriers are encouraged.\nMatch Fees\nAll matches are $20 for members and $30 for non-members. The $30 includes the $5 Daily Membership Fee for non-members that expires at the end of the match.\nSee below for additional fees and discounts that may apply:\nSenior Member Discount (Age 60+): -$5\nSuper-Senior Member Discount (Age 70+): -$10\nLifetime Members: No match fees\nDesignated Setup Crew Discount: -$5 (MD's discretion)\nDesignated RSO's: - $5 (MD's discretion)\nObserving the match is allowed\, welcomed\, and free for Members and Non-Members. Eye and Ear protection are required. If you can't register to "Observe" on PractiScore\, you must electronically sign a eWaiver when you check in at clubhouse with the Match Director before the match registration ends. Please check appropriate OBSERVE boxes if available on the match page\, but do not select a squad.\n*DPC OPERATES A "COLD" RANGE! SUMMARY:2026-08-15 1Gun (EDS) at Phoenix Rod and Gun Club
DESCRIPTION:There will be 6'ish mini-stages\, each built around everyday defensive scenarios (EDS) with lower round counts. These stages might involve situations like a carjacking attempt by multiple attackers (i.e. 4-5) or a home-invasion scenario with several intruders (i.e. 6-8). Every stage is intentionally short\, close-range\, and very fast—designed to reflect the kinds of threats a person could realistically face.\nWhile no stage can truly replicate real life\, the goal is to make them feel far more “real-world”. These stages focus on practical\, defensive decision-making under stress.\nAppendix Carry is ONLY authorized for Advanced classification or above.\n1Gun is designed to combine the well liked aspects from the different shooting sports\, with dynamic stages and simpler rules. While we fully understand no game can ever prepare one for a real world defensive situation\, we are just trying to build on basic skills that one should have; by rewarding quick\, accurate shooting with the ability to think on the fly. To do this\, we combined standards\, mission based\, and run-n-gun type stages with a more dynamic experience that requires the shooter to adapt vs replay a rehearsed stage plan.\nThe 1Gun Rulebook is attached to the match and for more information\, please see the https://1gun.org website.\nBlind coin flips are done during the stage reset\, hidden under a cup\, revealing the threat target color after the starting beep\, produces dynamic stages. By the pure definition of dynamic stages\, we are saying the stage is not the same for each shooter. This is okay\, and is by design. Stages will be designed to be fair\, not exact or symmetrical. In other words\, every effort will be placed on keeping the shooting complexity similar\, regardless of which color threat is drawn. But depending on your strengths and or weaknesses\, the luck of the draw could be the equalizer. But with that said\, we believe that these slight differences balance out by the end of the match and the benefits of creating a more dynamic experience\, far out weighs any little differences.\n$22 with a $9 discount for verified PRGC members.
