SUMMARY:August 6 2026 Bowling Pin Match at SharpShooters Indoor Range
DESCRIPTION:Sharpshooters Indoor Range Bowling Pin Competition Match (Cold Range\, make sure all firearms are completely empty before coming in the store).\nA head-to-head match where 2 shooters compete in shooting 5 bowling pins off a tabletop from their respective sides\, using revolvers with 10 rounds max. They are usually conducted as a double-elimination match with one-time buy-ins for $5\, up to the 3rd round. New shooters will shoot at least 3 times. If there are fewer than 20 entries\, we may go to triple elimination with no buy-ins. Pairing is randomized as much as possible\, but repeat pairings will occur. There are 3 separate classes\, Minor (380\, 9mm\, 38 Sp)\, Major (357 Mag or Sig\, 10mm\, 45 Auto) caliber\, and PCC. No 44 Mag or other similar or large magnum calibers. No Rifle calibers are allowed. Any sighting system is allowed. A SharpShooter's Match/Range pass is presented to each class winner. All scores will be posted on the Upstate Sport Shooting Group FB page.\nMinimum Equipment: Revolver\, Holster or gun rug or range bag\, eye and ear protection. Sign up on the Squad listed for your division. If you want to shoot more than 1 division\, you will need to sign separately for each one. There will be a $5 fee for all additional divisions. You may only shoot in 2 divisions.\nIf the shooters tie in their round\, they will be loaded up with up to 10 rds to break the tie. If all pins are knocked down in a tie\, 2 pins will be set up for each shooter to resolve the tie. If they tie again\, an additional pin will be set up for the next tie-breaker round.

DESCRIPTION:Cross Timbers Action Shooting Association (CTASA) Hit Factor (HF) match at Gritr Sports and Outdoors Shooting Range\n- Set-up starts at 5:00 p.m.  Any help will be appreciated.\n- Sign in starts at 5:15 p.m.\n- New shooter briefing is at 5:30 p.m.\n- Sign in ENDS at 5:50 p.m.\n- Match starts at 6:00 p.m.\n- Round count is approx. 100 – 130\n- Last shot fired no later than 9:00 p.m.\n- All competitors must leave the range immediately after the match.\nThe Range staff would appreciate us leaving promptly so they can go home.\nThe club match fee is $5.00 for members; $15.00 for non-members\, CASH ONLY.\nNo large bills please.\nThe Gritr range fee is $20.00+tax and paid directly to the range upon arrival.\nYou can become a member of CTASA here - http://ctasa.club/membership/\nClub membership is not required to participate.\nAll competitors\, and observers are required to sign waivers for both the range\, and the club. Registration opens the Sunday before the match at 7 PM.\nTwo start times are available at 4:30 PM and 7:00 PM. New shooters must attend a meeting at 6:00 PM and then shoot at 7:00 PM. We reserve Squad 7 for new shooters with our mentor.\nSetup starts at 2 PM for those that want to help.\nIf locked out of the range\, please call ‭(623) 363-3665‬.\n- Handguns and pistol caliber carbine only\, minimum 9mm\n- Hit factor scoring\n- 80-100 required hits (bring double the ammo your first time)\n- 3 to 4 mags or speed loaders recommended\n- No shooting allowed past 10 PM\nMatch fees are $25.\n- $5 discount for Cactus members (calculated automatically)\n- $8 discount for same day receipt from the main range (email receipt to cactuspractical@gmail.com)\n- $10 discount for Juniors under 18 (first entry only)\nThursday night classifications: After your first time (Tyro) please move to D class until you win 3 times\, then move to C\, etc. If you are already classified in USPSA\, IPSC\, IDPA\, etc.\, please start in that class (after Tyro). Pins are awarded for division winners in each class.
