DESCRIPTION:22LR Falling Steel Match at Sharpshooters Indoor Range (Cold Range\, make sure all firearms are completely empty before coming in the store).\nA head-to-head match where 2 shooters compete to knock down five 6"x 8" steel plates from their respective sides\, using only 22LR Rifles or Pistols\, 10 rounds max. They are usually conducted as a double-elimination match with one-time buy-ins for $5 up to the 3rd round. New shooters will shoot at least 3 times. If there are fewer than 16 entries\, we may go to triple elimination with no buy-ins. Pairing is randomized as much as possible\, but repeat pairings will occur. There are 2 separate divisions\, Rimfire Rifle and Rimfire Pistol (any sighting system). A free match pass is presented to each division winner. Sponsored shooters are not eligible. All scores will be posted on the Upstate Sport Shooting Group FB page. Minimum Equipment: Rifle must have a safety flag\, 2 mags loaded to 10\, eye and ear protection. Pistol in a safely secured container (Holster\, Range Tray\, Range Bag\, or zippered gun rug)\, 2 mags loaded to 10\, eye and ear protection.\nYou may sign up for 2 divisions. There will be a $5 fee for a second division.\nIf the shooters tie in their round\, they will be loaded up with another 10 rds to break the tie. If all plates are knocked down in a tie\, 2 plates will be set up for each shooter to resolve the tie. A flagged carbine is treated the same as a holstered pistol\, except for sweeping rules.\n• Uncasing the carbine may be done in a safe area\, or against a side berm or backstop.\n• When a competitor is called to the line to shoot\, they may carry an empty\, with chamber flag\, PCC muzzle up or muzzle down\, or the PCC may be cased.\n• After "Hammer down and Flag"\, with an empty with chamber flag PCC\, the competitor can immediately re-case the PCC or carry the PCC as stated above. The PCC can then be carried to a side berm staging area well behind the firing line and placed back in a case or on a cart.

No magnum calibres or steel core/steel jacketed ammo are permitted.\nWednesday night steel is run as a 4-stage match. Shooters with current USPSA membership will be able to receive a classification\, provided they complete all 4 stages\, when the classification system updates the following Wednesday.\nWhere:\nBTSA range. Bay 1-5. Shooters may drop their gear at the top but please park down the road or in the lot as parking at the top is needed for match staff. The main road gate and BTSA gates are scheduled to be opened at 5:30 pm to allow entry for non-members but may be open earlier if members are already up to at the facility.  \nWhen:\nEvery:  Wednesday from April 22 – September 16\,  2026\nSetup typically begins at 5:30pm and safety briefing at 6 pm unless otherwise stated at the top of the match description.
