DESCRIPTION:Birds are flying and spring is in the air and you know what else in the skies? Some clays ready to get dusted! The Defender Outdoors Clay Sports Ranch Spring League is an 8 week shooting league where you’ll squad up and compete for awards and bragging rights. Then we’ll all get together at the end to party it up and toast to a season well shot! \nWHEN:\nStart the week of March 18th\, Shoot on 3/18\, 3/25\, 4/1\, 4/8\, SKIP 4/15 week due to State\, 4/22\, 4/29\, 5/6\, 5/13 and League Dinner Party/Awards on May 20th \n***Teams and Individuals can shoot anytime between Wednesday at 10AM and Sunday close of business each week.*** \nBASICS:\nLeague scores based on 50 targets per week.   \n(Practice course and 5-stand will also be available prior and after weekly rounds)  \nTARGETS:\nEnjoyable targets will be set by Gary Madigan and Team \nPRICE:\nPrice for league is $290 for all 8 weeks which includes the League Party dinner/awards.   \nTEAMS:\nA team is required to have a minimum of 4 shooters and a maximum of 6 shooters. Team scores will take the highest 4 shooters including handicap for the weekly total. Team rosters must be finalized by the end of the first week. Individual shooters will be grouped to form teams as needed\, and each shooter may compete on only one team per league. \nHANDICAPS:\nHandicaps are calculated by using the shooter’s weekly score\, then subtracting it from “par”\, which is 45 and multiplying the difference times .70 (70%) Example: If a shooter’s score is 30 the equation is 45-30=15 x .70 = 10.5. the product (in the example 10.5) will be added to the shooter’s score. Handicaps adjusted each week. Maximum score with handicap is 45. \nWEATHER and MAKE-UP ROUNDS:\nIf you are not able to make it on the scheduled evening\, bank scores must be made up by Sunday of that week or you will be given an average of 2 other weeks scores for that week. DESCRIPTION:22 Rimfire and Air guns only- Silhouette target shooting at the MPR. \nOffhand/Standing shooting at Metal Animal silhouettes with rifles or pistols\, open or scoped sights allowed. \nBenches are available during this practice period every Wednesday \nMembers of all 5 clubs are welcome.\n Fees are collected at the Multi Purpose Range\, not at the USI Clubhouse .\nThe MPR is the building on the right hand side as you pass the Public Range\, but before the Impalement Arts Range.\nLook for the red MPR flag on the flag post- that’s us!\n\nUSI waiver and a Blue Card issued from the USI clubhouse required prior to the match- there is no charge to these one time processes.\n\nA silhouette is a steel profile of an animal (chicken\, pig\, turkey\, or ram) standing on a pedestal. The object of the game is to knock as many silhouettes as possible off the stand\, shooting one round at each silhouette. It is a very simple competition\, with very simple scoring: Knocking an animal off its stand counts as a hit.\n\nAlthough silhouette is an easy game to learn\, it is not an easy game to master. The animals are rather small and the distances can reach out a bit; you must shoot offhand (standing); a moderate breeze can move a bullet or a pellet the width of an animal; your concentration becomes more difficult to hold as you knock down five in a row or with a close miss.  Silhouette is an endless challenge that makes you a better shooter!\nThis is a reoccurring event every Week- we intend to host this practice barring weather or extraordinary barriers preventing the event from occurring in a safe environment. DESCRIPTION:The Magpul Texas 3-Gun Championship has grown to be one of the premiere shooting events in the United States\, and that is due in large part to your dedication and passion. Every year we hear lots of compliments on the friendliness and professionalism of our staff\, and the results speak for themselves: the match sells out in just minutes\, and we will have over 100 shooters on the wait list. \nThings will operate this year much as they have in previous years. We will pay each of you $400 in travel reimbursement\, and will provide lunch each day of the match. Dinner will be provided on Saturday night as we give away the staff prizes. BBQ lunch will be served at the lakeside pavilion at the completion of shooting on Sunday. You will receive 3 match shirts to be worn during the event.\nAll staff prizes are given away via random draw. We keep scores during the staff match\, but they have no bearing on prizes\, so you don’t have to shoot the staff match to be eligible for prizes. \nYou are responsible for making your own lodging arrangements! The match is a very light competition with the emphasis being marksmanship\, fun and few firearm regulations (other than safety). All shooting will be done from the bench from a front rest. The main road gate and BTSA gates will be opened at about 11 am \nWhen?\nGates open/setup 11am \, mandatory safety briefing 11:30\, Teardown ~1:30pm\nAll shooters must be present for the safety briefing or they will not be allowed to shoot. \nCost?\nBTSA members- $5 per gun. Max 2 guns per session\nNon-members- $15 per gun. Max 2 guns per session\nJuniors (under 18\, member and non-member)- 1 gun free per match \nHow to register?\nRegistration is through Practiscore. Please search BTSA  look for the correct date. Shooters need to be registered by 7pm on the day before the match so that we can confirm squadding and load the scoring tablets. This three-month league is designed to test your skills\, improve your\nshooting\, and—most importantly—have fun\, all while building camaraderie with fellow\nshooters.\nCLASSES\nParticipants may compete in one or more of the following classes:\n1. Centerfire Non-Optic\nAny centerfire pistol or revolver with iron/open sights\, capable of holding 5 rounds or\nmore (25-round match).\n2. Rimfire Non-Optic\nAny rimfire pistol or revolver with iron/open sights\, capable of holding 5 rounds or\nmore (25-round match).\n3. Centerfire Optic\nAny centerfire pistol or revolver equipped with an optic (red dot\, green dot\, or laser)\,\ncapable of holding 5 rounds or more (25-round match).\n4. Rimfire Optic\nAny rimfire pistol or revolver equipped with an optic (red dot\, green dot\, or laser)\,\ncapable of holding 5 rounds or more (25-round match).\n5. Sub-Compact / Pocket Gun – Non-Optic\nAny centerfire pistol or revolver classified by the manufacturer as sub-compact or\npocket carry\, typically with a barrel length of 3.5 inches or less\, capable of holding 5\nrounds or more.\n6. Sub-Compact / Pocket Gun – Optic\nSame as above\, equipped with an optic (red dot\, green dot\, or laser).\n7. Revolver Non-Optic\nAny centerfire revolver capable of holding 5 rds or more.\nYou must compete in at least three matches\, shooting each month’s target\, and remain\nin the same class to be eligible for awards or prize drawings.\nYou do not have to use the same firearm\, only the same class.\nOne makeup match per class is allowed per attended match date.\nCOURSE OF FIRE\n• Five strings of fire\n• Five rounds per string (25 rounds total)\n• Each string fired from a different distance\n• 12 seconds per string\nSCORING\n• Targets are point-based\n• Maximum possible score: 250 points\n• Detailed scoring instructions will be provided at the match\nFEES\n• First gun: $10 (Members & Non-Members)\n• Second gun:\no FREE for MVSG Members\, additional guns $5.00 thereafter\no $5 each additional gun for Non-Members\nPRACTICE OPTIONS\nAll match targets are available for purchase at the range.\nBuild your skill set.\nBuild camaraderie.\nJoin the MVSG Triple Target Challenge!

SUMMARY:Wednesday April 8th  Ladies Only Defensive Pistol Match at Johns Creek Indoor Gun Range
DESCRIPTION:This will be a Ladies Only event. Cost is $20 which you pay when you get to the range. This match is designed to introduce lady shooters to the fun and practicality of our defensive pistol matches.\nThe following information should answer most questions but please do not hesitate to contact us with any additional questions or clarifications.\nA)	This is YOUR event\, take advantage of the opportunity.\nB)	This is event is open to Ladies Only.\nC)	Sign in and set up will begin at 5pm with first shots typically at 5:30pm. We are packed up and out the door at 8pm.\nD)	The cost for the event will be $20 per shooter. This includes your range time. The only additional cost is your ammunition.\nE)	75 rounds of ammunition will be sufficient.\nF)	We know traffic can be a challenge so if you are running late just relax\, we will work you in when you get here.\nG)	You may shoot any type of pistol you own. This event is specifically designed to INTRODUCE you to the sport. You do not need to purchase additional equipment beforehand.\nH)	Drawing from the holster is certainly allowed but it is not required.\nI)	All guns should be in a gun case or gun bag and DO NOT come out of the bag except under direction of a Safety Officer. (If you have shot a GADPA match before please follow our normal rules for gun handling)\nJ)	If you have spare magazines for your pistol please bring them.\nK)	Please wear a hat with a brim or a visor.\nPlease watch our safety video and brief rules discussion by clicking the link below. The first 6 minutes discusses our safety rules and procedures. Again\, if you do not have a holster do not worry\, we will work around it. \n\nSelect any division and power factor below\, we can change onsite as required. Set up begins at 5pm and first shots as soon as we set up. New Shooters\, please arrive no later than 5:00 PM for a new shooter briefing. Given the current ammo situation the match will be designed around a total limit of 50 rounds. If we have time we may shoot more  drills if you want to but it will not be scored.
