SUMMARY:Belton Gun Club 5th Sunday Galactic Pistol Alliance (GPA) Match
DESCRIPTION:No concealment garment necessary\n½ second scoring\nEvery stage may have up to 24 required shots. More shooting equals more fun!\nAmmo management is entirely the responsibility of the shooter\nEvery stage requires one mandatory reload after the first shot and before the last you decide when and where to do it.\nYou dropped a magazine with rounds in it? It’s legal! No PE!\nTargets may be required to be shot while you are moving.\nThere is no tactical priority for targets in the open.\nAny stage can have an unlimited number of steel targets as well as unlimited non-threats!\nWith exceptions\, equipment you are using in another pistol sport is probably legal\nThe rulebook is clear\, concise\, unambiguous\, and only 13 pages long!\nFirst year membership in GPA is free\, you can sign up at this link \nMembership Options \n\nIn the interest of safety for all members\, guests\, and visitors\, Belton Gun Club is implementing a temporary ban on all SIG Sauer P320-based pistols being brought onto or used on club property.\nThis decision has been made out of an abundance of caution following a series of recent incidents and un-commanded discharges involving the P320 platform. In light of these events\, several government agencies and private facilities have also adopted similar temporary restrictions on the use of these firearms while further testing and evaluations are conducted.\n****** Important Notice******\nEffective immediately\, all P320-based pistols are prohibited at Belton Gun Club until further notice. This includes all variants and modified versions of the P320 platform.\nPlease note: This restriction applies only to the P320 and its variants. All other SIG Sauer pistols and rifles are unaffected by this ban and remain welcome on club property.\nIf you show up to the match with a Sig P320 or one of it's variants you will be asked to replace it or you will be withdrawn from the match.

SUMMARY:GPA Match at the Cabin November 29th 2026
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the Galactic Pistol Alliance!\nSo\, what exactly is the Galactic Pistol Alliance? Briefly\, it is an action shooting sport designed to be safe\, challenging\, fun\, interesting and easily underwood.\nGPA has been in development and evolving since December of 2022. Since then\, we have run literally hundreds of GPA matches and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Here are a few features that make GPA such a blast!\n-No concealment garment required.\n-½ second scoring.\n-Every stage may have up to 24 required shots. More shooting equals more fun!\n-Ammo management is entirely the responsibility of the shooter.\n-You can load your mags to capacity and carry as many as you want.\n-Every stage requires one mandatory reload after the first shot and before the last. You decide when and where to\n do it.\n-You dropped a magazine with rounds in it? It's legal! No PE!\n-Targets may be required to be shot while you are moving.\n-Any stage can have an unlimited number of steel targets as well as unlimited non-threats!\n-With few exceptions\, whatever equipment you are using in another pistol sport is probably legal in GPA.\n-The rulebook is clear\, concise\, unambiguous and only 12 pages long!\nSHOOTERS MUST HAVE\n- Their own firearm\n- Eye and Ear protection\n- Minimum of 100 rounds of ammo\n- Waiver on file\nSHOOTERS SHOULD HAVE\nA quality IWB/OWB hard holster for their firearm (NO Serpa.)\nA minimum of two magazines or speed loaders (for revolvers) and pouches for them\nNo soft (leather/nylon) holsters will be allowed for safety reasons\, however those without a holster (or acceptable holster) may run each stage off of a designated table or starting point.\n(NOTE: ALL SIG 320 VARIANTS ARE PROHIBITED FROM THESE EVENTS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE)

SUMMARY:Bowling Pin Competition - Iron Sights (11/30/26)
DESCRIPTION:This is a handgun match that is a great way for those new to shooting competition to get started and for those with a lot of experience to show off in a tough competition. Why has shooting bowling pins taken off to the extent it has? Because it’s fun! Bowling pins are a dynamic target\, if you hit them off center they tend to fall down instead of going off the table. Once they’re lying down they’ll usually spin when hit on the ends instead of going off the table. These factors make the simple statement of “clear the table of 5 pins” more challenging than it sounds.\nHow to Play:\nQualifying Rounds\n-Shoot 3 separate strings of 5 pins (String is one iteration of 5 pins)\n-Your time is recorded and averaged\n-Averaged time places you into our bracketed “Knock Out Round”\nKnock Out Round\n-Matches are head to head\n-First shooter to knock off all 5 pins wins the round\n-Pins knocked over must be shot off the table onto the ground\n-If there is a tie between shooters that match will be shot again\n-All Knock Out Rounds are single elimination\nAmmunition:\n-Standard commercial and reloaded ammunition is permitted\n-Any type of ammunition designed for penetrating metal is not permitted\n-Only ammunition purchased at the SSEC may be used in a rental firearm\n-No steel jacketed\, steel shot or steel core bullets permitted\n-No tracer\, incendiary\, armor piercing\, gas or explosive ammunition is permitted\n-Center fire only\, .380\, 38 Special\, 9mm\, 40 and 45 calibers are allowed\nSuggested Equipment:\n1 firearm (Iron sights only. Red Dot sights may be used but are not eligible for awards)\n2 boxes of ammo\n3 magazines\nHearing and eye protection\nLong sleeve shirts and pants\n**Note\nCompetitors who wish to practice with a red dot in an iron sight competition may do so. These competitors will not be eligible to win the events and may be placed in a Red Dot specific bracket depending upon registration numbers.
