SUMMARY:Zoo City Armory’s "The Gauntlet" October 31
DESCRIPTION:The Zoo City Armory "The Gauntlet" is an intense shooting competition designed to challenge both the physical endurance\, strength and marksmanship abilities of its athletes. Competitors navigate a demanding course that includes a variety of obstacles\, requiring them to run\, climb\, lift\, move and maneuver through rugged terrain\, all while maintaining precision with firearms. The event tests not only speed and agility but also accuracy under pressure\, with timed shooting stages spread throughout the course. Participants must demonstrate a unique blend of strength\, stamina\, and sharpshooting skills\, making "The Gauntlet" a true test of all-around athleticism. Athletes will need to be able to move objects at a variety of weights and engage targets from 1-400 yards. \n*Mission / Spirit of the Gauntlet – Designed to be more of a training event to test yourself and equipment than a competition. We advocate Knowledge Distribution; if you see someone having trouble with a certain task / skill and you have a solution\, help them. We encourage coaching during this match! * \nAugust 29\, 2026\nCheck In and Registration: 0800\nShooters Meeting: 0845\nFirst Rounds Down Range NLT: 0915 \nDivisions: \nLegendary: The weight for the plate carrier will be no less than 20lbs empty. This division will be the most challenging with max weight that an athlete may have to lift (meaning ground to shoulder) will be 150lb. The max weight that an athlete may have to carry (per hand) will be no more than 125lbs. \nHeroic: The weight for the plate carrier will be no less than 14lbs empty. This division is meant for the “everyday Joe”\, it will be physically demanded yet doable. The max weight that an athlete may have to lift (meaning ground to shoulder) will be 100lb. The max weight that an athlete may have to carry (per hand) will be no more than 90lbs.\nFemale Legendary: The weight for the plate carrier will be no less than 10lbs empty. This division is meant for “females only” to test their abilities in their own division\, it will be physically demanded yet doable. The max weight that an athlete may have to lift (meaning ground to shoulder) will be 75lb. The max weight that an athlete may have to carry (per hand) will be no more than 70lbs. \nRecruit: There is no plate carrier required for this division. Competitors can run a plate carrier or “rack” if they would like. This division is specifically designed for new shooters of the sport. This division is to help build confidence\, ability\, and experience all while having fun\, and meeting new friends. This division will test your abilities\, but not become overwhelming. The max weight that an athlete may have to lift (meaning ground to shoulder) will be 50lb. The max weight that an athlete may have to carry (per hand) will be no more than 50lb.\n Firearms: \nAll divisions are open (Rifle and Pistol may run any optic or multiple optics and any sort of set up). All rifles must have a sling. Pistols may have a red dot and must have a holster than can retain the pistol while negotiating obstacles. Yes! You can run a surpressor! \nRifle: .223 and above. No green tip\, tracer\, armor piercing or M855A1 allowed\, this could result in a match DQ if caught using these. \nPistol: 9mm or larger. \nPlate Carriers: The weight for all the plate carriers mentioned above will be weighed empty. Empty meaning that the shooter will not have any magazines\, ammunition\, radios\, water or other gear to “make weight”. The weight will consist of the plate carrier\, pouches and either ballistic or exercise plates. \nSupporting devices (i.e.\, Support Bags\, Tripods\, Bipods etc..) may be used from stage to stage but must be fixed to the firearm for the entire course of fire. Example\, shooter decides to run a “Game Changer” Bag for a stage\, the bag must be attached to their rifle for the entire course of fire. Ammunition may not be staged through the course of fire. All loads and reloads must come from the body unless otherwise stated in the Written Stage Brief (WSB). \nRound Count: Minimum Round count will be 100 Rifle and 100 Pistol. A more specific round count will be sent to the athletes before the day of the match.\nLast day to sign up and receive a match T Shirt is August 7\, 2026.\nAwards will be given to 1st\, 2nd and 3rd for each division. There will also be an award given for Top Senior 50+\, Top Junior 17 and younger and Top Military\, Top LEO\, and Top Firefighter.\nPlease email match@zoocityarmory.com if you’re interested in staffing the match or have any questions.

SUMMARY:PNTC 2026 October Burner Series – Speed Shoot Match
DESCRIPTION:This isn't just a race; it's a test of the "Combat Effective Speed" philosophy.\nThe Burner Series is designed to push the boundaries of both mechanical execution and cognitive processing.\nAlthough this is a single weapon system match primarily designed for Pistol and PCC\, it also includes a shotgun division! The added shotgun division is perfect for 3 Gunners who want to practice fast target transitions while avoiding heavy reloads.\n**Match Architecture:*** **9-Shot Max Per Stage:** Keeping the round count lean forces a focus on quality transitions and visual processing speed.\n* **Hybrid Targetry:** Steel targets will comprise most target sets\, utilizing selective paper targets to demand precision-under-pressure. No C zone penalties. Deltas are down 1 second.\n* **Cognitive Friction:** Occasionally the use of Color-coded targets and no-shoot scenarios to ensure you aren't just shooting on "auto-pilot."\n* **Spectrum of Performance:** Stages range from pure "pedal-to-the-metal" layouts which is the primary focus\, to shooting from cover style scenarios where thinking is just as important as pulling the trigger.\nBecause this is primarily a Speed-Shoot style match - movement will often be limited but simple transitions of a few yards may be incorporated.\n"Identify. Transition. Neutralize."\nFeel the BURN!\nUpdate: We will now include 3 strings of Fire! Your best 2 strings will count.

SUMMARY:SHOOT SIG - Nevada Firearms Academy
DESCRIPTION:Whether you’re new to shooting competitions or an experienced competitor\, you’ll enjoy 3 approachable stages that can be completed with less than 100 rounds and in under an hour. Compete again in the same or another division for a discounted match fee. Bring any pistol or PCC or try out a new SIG pistol or PCC for an additional fee. You must be a SHOOT SIG member and shoot a SIG firearm to be eligible for prizes.\n*NOTE: If you want to shoot in more than one Division or multiple entries in a single Division\, you must first complete your initial registration and pay the initial $45 match fee. Then\, you must register for each additional entry and select "Additional Division" under Extras in the payment information section to receive the discounted match fee of $25. Each additional entry in this manner will allow you to pick a respective Division and Squad; this will result in multiple registrations for the same match being displayed under your PractiScore dashboard profile.\n**NOTE: As a reminder\, we operate using a "cold range" principle which means all firearms are to remain unloaded and in your gun bag/box or holster until you are under the direct supervision of a SHOOT SIG Range Officer and have been instructed to "load and make ready" on a prescribed course of fire. If you are planning to shoot the match with your carry gun and you arrive to the range with a loaded (hot) firearm\, we will have designated safe areas clearly marked where you can safely unload your firearm prior to checking in. Please plan to arrive 15-20 minutes ahead of your scheduled start time to allow enough time to check in at the registration booth. Once you have checked in and are assigned a SHOOT SIG Range Officer with your respective squad\, further instructions will be provided to you regarding when and where you can load your magazines\, and/or function check your firearm (if needed).\n***NOTE: Online Registration will close at 8 a.m. on Friday\, October 30th. Walk up registrations will be permitted during the main match from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

SUMMARY:Turkeyfoot Cowboy Action OCTOBER 31st Match
DESCRIPTION:Our club offers modified Cowboy Action Shooting® matches. Currently we have multiple categories with a few added in such as Working Cowboy/Cowgirl which is pistol and a rifle. Our goal is to get you out here shooting and having fun. If you don't have all of the gear that you "think" you need\, stop by and chat with us and we will get you started.\nWe dress in pre–1900 clothing and shoot real bullets from original or replicas of the kind of guns used by cowboys in the late 1800's. The shooting is timed and scores are recorded to determine winners. But as much as the competition\, we enjoy the friendships and just the fun of shooting. It is well organized\, safe\, family oriented and is a good place to meet some really nice folks!\nDon't be alarmed by the costuming\, there are "open" classes that are much less restrictive.

A blast mitigation device such as the Surefire Warden or Griffin Armament Blast Shield that remains attached to a muzzle brake is allowed\nc. Examples:\nThe PWS PRC Compensator IS defined as a muzzle brake because the first ports closest to the barrel constitute a set of externally visible braking baffles. However\, the similar PWS FSC Compensator is NOT defined as a muzzle brake because its baffle set is compromised in terms of recoil reduction in order to\nachieve its hybrid purpose. The Surefire Warcomp is NOT defined as a muzzle brake because it acts as a flash hider with muzzle rise compensating ports\, not braking baffles to reduce recoil force. The KAC MAMS\, Precision Armament EFAB and AFAB\, and similar devices are NOT defined as muzzle brakes because their baffle sets do not have the uncompromised purpose of reducing recoil due to the pinhole-style gas port design. For any specific muzzle device questions\, please send a link to the product or very clear pictures of the device to info@pcsleague.com\niii. No restriction on muzzle device size\n8.
