DESCRIPTION:An action pistol match open to all but geared towards "classic" handguns. We define classic as revolvers or 1911s\, but we are very inclusive -- this is open to all action pistol shooters.\nMandatory safety briefing at ***10:00 a.m.*** followed by first shots. Sign ups open 30 minutes ahead of time\, but showing up an hour ahead of time to help with set up will be appreciated.\nLocation is here: http://flagstaffactionshooters.org/location\nWe will use the ICORE rule set for its simplicity. Scoring is based on total time (no hit factors). Poor hits or misses simply add time to a shooters score. Compared to a USPSA match\, this scoring focuses more on accuracy than speed with stronger penalties for non-Alpha hits.\nMinimum equipment is a revolver or pistol of .38 Special/9mm or larger\, a holster which holds the firearm securely and covers the trigger guard\, and a belt strong enough to carry the gun (no cloth holsters) and ammunition in a safe manner. All participants and spectators must wear eye and ear protection when shooting is in progress. Generally\, 150 rounds are sufficient to complete all courses of fire\, and about 20-30 on any given stage.\nTo keep every thing even\, all guns will shoot with the same capacity restrictions\, specifically a maximum of 8 rounds in the gun at any given time.\n$15 for FAS members\, $25 for non-members. Membership is $50 per year. Kids shoot free. This is payable at the range\, cash or check. We do NOT use PractiScore membership.

DESCRIPTION:Welcome to Sidney Shooting Park Two-Gun competition. We approach this with a mentality of “train how you fight” and most of all to have a fun and safe time.  We base our rules on the shooters shooting skills/ tactical knowledge skills and life choices.  What this means is there are no advantages or penalization for the shooter's choices of weapons systems\, optics\, magazine capacity or calibers (within set safety parameters). The shooter shouldn’t be restrained to a class or division cause in a firefight nobody cares about that…he/she that wins…. Lives…a firefight doesn’t discriminate.  This will be as close to a human vs human; best score wins competition.  There will be some minor restrictions in place due to battlespace constraints and safety concerns.  Again\, this is to ultimately have fun and be safe doing it.  So\, let’s get to shooting.

Duty rifles and duty handguns only.\nThe match will consist of five stages:\n3 stages: Rifle only\n2 stages: Handgun only\nYou will not use both platforms on the same stage. Each stage will be designated either rifle or handgun.\nWe’re running Practical 2 Gun as an October only special match to gauge interest in incorporating more 2 gun events into the First Responders Match program for 2027.\nBring your duty rifle\, bring your duty pistol\, and come collect alphas.**\nFirearm Logic is hosting Arizona’s only all day First Responder local match\, consisting of five full size stages with a 150 to 200 round count. There will be three start times to accommodate different schedules. If it is your first time\, it is recommended that you bring approximately double that amount of ammunition.\nThis match is built to support our first responders who are at the forefront of every emergency response. Practical shooting provides a structured environment to apply fundamental firearm skills on demand in dynamic stages\, reinforcing consistency\, accountability\, and performance under pressure.\nMatch Schedule\nMorning Match\n9:00 AM start time\nMidday Match\n1:00 PM start time\nMain Match\n5:00 PM start time\n- The main match will have dedicated Range Officers on each stage responsible for running the timer and scoring tablet to ensure smooth and consistent match flow.\n- The main match will also have a designated law enforcement or civilian mentor who will shoot first on every stage to demonstrate stage pacing and execution. After their run\, the mentor will assist the squad with stage planning\, safety\, and performance guidance.\nIf you have never shot a match before\, match etiquette requires self RO squads. This means everyone on the squad must help with the tablet\, timer\, and especially resetting. Only the on deck shooter should be walking the stage while another shooter is actively shooting.\nWho is considered a First Responder and can sign up for the match?\nActive sworn law enforcement currently employed in a position with arrest powers\nActive full-time EMS or firefighters assigned to 911 response\nFirearm Logic may also approve a limited number of instructors\, mentors\, sponsors\, staff\, industry partners\, or invited guests whose participation supports the purpose of the match.\nSquad Placement\nSquad placement is not guaranteed. Competitors may move to another available squad if space permits.\nFirearm Logic does not assign or remove eligible participants based on another competitor’s personal preference regarding who they do or do not want to shoot with. Approved mentors\, sponsors\, instructors\, staff\, and invited guests may be placed on any squad.\nParticipants should understand that photography and video may occur during the event. Participation on the same squad does not imply personal\, professional\, or organizational affiliation with another competitor.\nHow do I know if I have the right gear?\nYour duty gear is sufficient. Otherwise\, whatever gear you have available will work. At a minimum\, you should have a firearm\, at least three magazines\, a holster\, magazine pouches\, a belt\, eye and ear protection\, and ammunition.\nHow do I know if I selected the right division?\nThat is okay. Select any division.\nCan I shoot the match multiple times?\nYes. Multiple sign ups are allowed\, and each additional entry will receive a 10 dollar discount.\nOnly your first score will count. All additional scores will be removed.\nYou may not shoot the same time slot twice. Each entry must be in a different time slot.\nOnly First Responder competitors that are non mentors will be eligible for random prize giveaways.
