Come dressed appropriately for the weather.\nNIGHT SHOOT — EXPERIENCED SHOOTERS ONLY\nTHIS IS NOT A BEGINNER MATCH.\nThis match is conducted in low-light/night conditions and is intended only for shooters who are already proficient and confident in safely handling their firearms in a match environment.\nBy registering\, you acknowledge that you:\n-Have substantial experience safely handling and shooting your firearm.\nAre comfortable drawing\, moving\, shooting\, reloading\, and clearing malfunctions safely.\n-Understand and consistently follow the four fundamental rules of firearm safety.\n-Are capable of safely handling your firearm when visibility is significantly reduced.\n-Understand IDPA range commands and safe-match procedures.\n-Can safely manipulate your firearm without requiring coaching or hands-on assistance.\nZERO-TOLERANCE SAFETY POLICY\nAny competitor who demonstrates unsafe or insufficient firearm handling will be immediately disqualified (DQ'd) from the match.\nExamples include\, but are not limited to:\n-Unsafe muzzle direction\n-Finger on the trigger when it should not be\n-Failure to follow range commands\n-Unsafe firearm manipulation\n-Unsafe movement with a firearm\n-Failure to properly clear or make safe a firearm\n-Any behavior that\, in the Match Director's or Range Officer's judgment\, creates an unacceptable safety risk\nA safety DQ will result in immediate removal from the match with NO REFUND.\nIf you are a new shooter\, are still learning basic firearm handling\, or are not completely comfortable handling your firearm safely in low-light conditions\, please do not register for this match.\nCALIBER / FIREARM REQUIREMENTS\nOnly pistol calibers will be allowed\, e.g.\, 9mm\, .22 LR\, .45 ACP\, .380 ACP\, etc. Absolutely no rifle calibers such as .223\, .308\, etc.\nPistols are what most competitors will run.\nPistol-caliber carbines (PCCs) will be allowed and are encouraged.\nNight vision is allowed and encouraged.\nWhite lights are allowed as well.\nIf running a white light\, all weapons must have a light attached to them. DESCRIPTION:78W's "Party After Dark" is a 5 stage\, Time Plus (Points) 2-gun rifle/pistol match shot under either white light or night vision with IR illumination. The course of fire will include usage of a subterranean bunker\, glowing props & targetry\, and varied artificial lighting conditions.\nThis match is hosted at the beautiful Osprey Training Facility in southeastern North Carolina.\nOn-site lodging is not available for competitors at this time.\nAll shooters must use a centerfire rifle or PCC\, as well as a centerfire handgun. A PCC may not be used in place of a handgun\, nor as the only firearm entered.\nSuppressors are encouraged but not required.\nWhite light/flashlights may be used on handguns while competing in the NV division at the cost of a procedural penalty per-stage; This is not recommended. White light usage on rifles is not permitted while competing in the NV division. HOWEVER\, written stage briefs may allow for usage without a penalty being assessed for usage on either firearm\, due to specific features of a stage; This having white light options even if you are an NV shooter isn’t a bad idea.\nFully automatic or simulated fully automatic fire is not permitted. If you have a weapon-mounted light but not a holster\, then a headlamp would be your best bet.\n****OUTLAW MATCH - MORE COOL STUFF ALLOWED****\nIf you do not have a holster for your pistol with a weapon mounted light\, this match will allow you to take a 1 second penalty to start from low ready.\nPistol brace PCC's will be allowed\, as are SBR PCC's.\nApproximately 125 Rounds\, 5 stages\nSetup will start at 4pm\, shooting will begin shortly after sunset\, approximately 6:45pm.\nPlan accordingly. Handheld flashlights or headlamps are allowed as are weapon-mounted lights. The stage brief will specify that only one light may be used at a time. If your first light fails\, you may use a second light to complete the stage. Night vision is equal to a light.\nAll competitors will be required to wear a chem light tied to their belts. Chem lights are provided by the match\, you don't need to bring your own.\n***NIGHT VISION POLICY***\nShooters with Night Vision will be on their own squad with non NVG shooters mixed in.\nNight vision may be allowed to be used by shooters on a case-by-case basis. It will be completely subjective on the part of the match director. If you have shot our matches in the past and have participated in them safely\, and in the opinion of the match director you have a reputation for being safe\, you will be allowed to wear and use night vision. If you have never shot a match at our club before\, or this is your first match\, you will not be allowed to use night vision. The reason for this policy is that the range officer will not be able to see the gun while the competitor is shooting. Those permitted to use night vision may be required to wear additional chem lights.\nWithdrawal from the match will get a refund and will have credit card fees deducted from the refund. No refunds are granted within 24 hours of the match.

There will also be a squad for shooters using night vision only.\nWe will be having the semi annual night match 2 Gun Saturday the 2nd and someone will be the MD.  Setup will start at 1800\, don't be late.  If you plan on rolling in just before dark\, that's not an option.  Everyone needs to help setup and more importantly tear down.  If you got something at 6am the next day\, that's your deal not ours.  Shooting will start when it is dark.\nPlan on 4-5 stages\, number of stages will depend on how many people sign up.  Round count will typically be around 10-15 per gun per stage\, just plan for some missing.  Make sure you have fresh batteries in your lights.  If you need to share lights that is ok.  Weapons mounted lights are strongly recommended\, but not mandatory.  Holsters not required.  Plan on having some fun!\nScoped Tactical—Rifle has one magnified optic on it.
