DESCRIPTION:Buckeye Shooting Center's Plate League\nThis is a dynamic league involving movement and manipulation of firearms.\nThis league runs with one stage each week for 8 weeks total. The event is open for shooting each week Thursday and Friday from 11:00am to 8:00pm (If you check-in at or before 8:00pm you will get to shoot that day).\nThe price is $20 PER STAGE\, or $120 for the entire 8 weeks. There are discounts for range members ($10/stage or $80/pass). All payments will be processed in store or through our website at https://buckeyeshootingcenter.com/practical-pistol/\nHolsters and mag carriers are required only for Carry Optics. In other divisions they are not required\, but STRONGLY recommended.\nEach week will include two runs for time. Penalties will incur an addition of time to that run. There will be between 10 and 15 plates each week. All shooters will begin with 10 rounds loaded in the first mag.\nThis league will accommodate all levels of shooters including those with physical limitations.

DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the Thurmont Friday/Saturday Steel Challenge Match.\nMATCH DESCRIPTION:\nThis match will consist of all 8\, Steel Challenge stages.\nRound count will be 195 minimum (plus makeup shots). Bring extra ammo\, as it there is none available for purchase at the facility.\nRULES:\nThis is a Tier 1 local Steel Challenge match and we will abide by the rules of Steel Challenge Shooting Association.\nAll SCSA divisions as well as LO\, RRI\, and RRO are included .  So let's see those Wheel Guns.\nThough you may register in multiple divisions\, you may only register once in any individual division.\nSCORING:\nWe will use the normal Steel Challenge Scoring.\nSAFETY AREAS:\nThurmont is a COLD range.\nFirearms must be unloaded at all times except during the match under the direct supervision of a safety officer (SO).\nHandling of firearms at vehicles is prohibited. Long guns must have an EMPTY CHAMBER INDICATOR (Chamber Flag) IN PLACE at all times starting from the moment the rifle is uncased for placement in a gun cart or brought to the shooting position.\nPistols may be unbagged and holstered ONLY at designated Safety Areas or unbagged under the direction of a RO/SO at the shooting position.\nSafety Areas are clearly marked with signs.  If the table doesn't have a sign marked "Safety Area" then it isn't one and Gun Handling is not allowed there but ammunition handling is.\nNO AMMUNITION HANDLING in safety areas. Use of suppressors is not prohibited but the match director can not assure accurate times.\nAll pistol calibers permitted. As per SCSA rules the maximum velocity for any Handgun or Pistol Caliber Carbine shooting steel is 1600fps. The use of ANY Steel core\, or steel (bimetal) jacketed ammunition (even with permitted calibers) is PROHIBITED.\nMatch fees:\nNon-TCSC members:\n$25 for Adult 1st gun\n$20 for Junior (13 through 17) 1st gun\n$15 for Preteen (12 and under) 1st gun\n$15 for 2nd gun.\nTCSC members:\n$5 Club Member discount on above fees for 1st gun\n$15 for 2nd gun.\nOnline via Credit Card\nIf you can not pay via Credit Card online and need to pay Cash on the day of the match\, contact us at tcsc.steel@gmail.com and\, on rare exception we will send you a link. For those who have not shot a Steel Challenge match before\, arrive before 9:30 for registration and let the person doing registration know this is your first match. A separate short briefing will be held for new shooters. If paying by credit card\, arrive extra early and go up to the clubhouse to pay and bring receipt to registration.\nClub level 1 Steel Challenge match. Fun for everyone from Grandparents to Grandkids. 6 stages\, 150 rounds minimum\, but bring 250 rounds or more. Five mags per gun is nice\, but not required. If shooting a centerfire pistol\, you must have a holster.\n$20 for first gun\, $10 additional ($30 total) for second gun.\nDiscounts if applicable (only one per person\, whichever is higher):\nPinetucky Gun Club Member: $5 off\nCertified NROI USPSA RO\, CRO\, or RM: $5 off\nJuniors: First gun free ($20 off total)\nSetup Crew: First gun free ($20 off total)\, *available to the first 3 volunteers*\nShooters who help setup on Thursday afternoon will shoot for at discount ($20). DESCRIPTION:Allows you to carry your handgun in both concealed carry and open carry where it is legal to do so. \nClick here for step by step instructions on how to file for your License to Carry and what you need to know. Looking to just take your shooting qualification only? Click here. \nFormerly CHL\, this course includes your classroom time covering the current Texas State and Federal laws that surround your ability to carry a handgun\, as well as the required shooting proficiency test. The shooting qualification requires that you must be able to load\, unload\, and fire the handgun proficiently. \nTHIS IS NOT A FIREARMS TRAINING CLASS AND WILL NOT TEACH YOU HOW TO SHOOT. If you are new to firearms\, we strongly encourage you to take a Private LTC Prep Lesson prior to taking the class. \nNote: Texas rule banning persons under 21 from obtaining a License to Carry was declared unconstitutional. Persons 18-20 years old can now receive their LTC. Please note\, Defender CANNOT rent handguns OR sell ammunition to anyone under 21. If you are under 21\, you are required to provide your own firearm and ammunition in order to qualify for your LTC. \nShooting Proficiency Test Requirement \n3 Yard Line – 20 rounds\n7 Yard Line – 20 rounds\n15 Yard Line – 10 rounds \nWhat’s Included: \n\nState mandated License to Carry classroom instruction\nShooting qualification and range fee\nLTC-100 Certificate of Completion (it is your responsibility to submit your form\, Defender will not submit for you)\nHandgun rental for proficiency test (if needed)\nB27 target\nEye and ear protection (if needed)\n\nEquipment Needed: \n\nValid Driver’s License\nSemi-auto handgun or revolver\n50 rounds of ammo (available for purchase before the start of class. Subject to availability\, call ahead to check)\nEye and ear protection\nWriting utensil\nBeverage and snacks if desired (we have water\, soda and snacks available for purchase)\n\nNot Included: \n\nState application fee\nFingerprinting and fingerprinting fee (you will be prompted to schedule your fingerprinting appointment at the end of the DPS application process)\nTotal course time is about 6 hours.
